Nothing original about this woman 'You do You, unless your Charlotte Greedy then do every Tom, Dick & Harry' 🙄

I thought it was quite insightful, and made me feel a lot better about a lot of worries. It was almost reassuring, I wish I had read this when I was about 17/18.

You deserve the absolute world even if right now you don't think you do. You are enough, and you CAN change your life and make a fresh start if you want it. I did it and so can you! - Charlotte Greedy

My daily walks are usually accompanied by an audio book. Today , I finished the @missgreedyshome book. I have followed Charlotte and her partner H for some time on Instagram. She has always been open about her struggles with her mental health. Charlotte shares her ups and downs, her house renovation & family life. She doesn't take herself too seriously, can laugh about herself, and is jolly fun.

It was nice to find out a little bit more about her life experiences, lessons learned, and how she got to where she is now. It's a reminder of who you are and what you have achieved.

I'm not sure what the 1 star reviewers were expecting, to be honest. Complaining about how it's written, etc.. We need to remember Charlotte is not an author writing a novel she's just a normal person sharing her life experiences.

Congratulations, @missgreedyshome, to a fab book. This is a fabulous milestone, and you should be proud of yourself!

I could not wait to get my hands on this book, and I wasn’t even slightly sure what it would hold. In saying that, I will mention that there are some Possible Triggers: Self-harm, suicide and mental health topics. I’d still recommend this book to anyone from early teens onwards- just be prepared for tears. I know this book is classed as a self-help book and that a lot of people do not like that genre, but this book is so much more. Personally, I think it’s more of a book about love; The author’s love for the family she has made, love for the community that has supported her but also love for herself- every part of herself- and I think that is what makes this book so beautiful to read.

From one of the biggest con women on Instagram comes the book of the year..... If you live on a planet where a year lasts for less than a nano second.

Weak observations, poorly performed.

I’ve followed Charlotte Greedy’s Instagram for such a long time on here now, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw she was releasing a book…and then a book signing 30 mins from where I live, you know I had to be there! It was such a lush day, Charlotte and Harriet were both so lovely, they were just as they are on Insta which I love!

Anyway, the book. I LOVED IT! ‘You do you’ is like one of my go to sayings, I say it all the time to the parents who come to the baby classes I run, you do you, don’t worry about anyone else. So when I saw it was the title of the book, I knew it was going to be right up my street.

You Do You read like a half memoir/half inspirational, motivational book. I loved finding more out about Charlotte that we don’t already know, even if you have followed her Insta for years. It showed that there’s so much more to people that what we see behind our phone screens, we don’t know everything that makes a person who they are.

I think if I had the time, I would have read it in one sitting, I didn’t want to put it down. There are so many quotes in this book, I’ve tabbed so many pages where the words just really resonated with me and made me feel so motivated. I read the whole book with Charlotte’s voice in my head, so it sometimes felt like she was giving me a pep talk which was fab! I think that this will be a book that I continuously pick back up off my shelf for those days you need a little nudge in the right direction.

Basically, if you want a book that has more about such a genuine, lovely, interesting person, while at the same time can pick you up and motivate you when you’re down, go buy You Do You, I don’t think you’d regret it 💕

I've found this book at Waterstones in a special selection for Valentine's day and it looked like those guides to self-love for a very young audience from one of the many instagrammer out there (I didn't know who Charlotte Greedy was) from the outside. I've started having a quick look and from some quotes highlighted on the right pages between the text, I've decided to give it a chance.

This is like having a chat with a friend a little bit older than you that is in another phase of life and who honestly and truthfully gives you the best tips she has learned so far without putting herself on a pedestal. This is a companion book that can really give support and just say that things will get better. The book explores different areas of life from body, relationship, home, work, mental health. It is simple but very beautiful.

The last two letters at the end of the book ("to my younger self" and "to my older self") are very moving as they are really universal and something we would all tell ourselves.

The design is also very good and a plus. I will keep this book handy and reach out to it again in future troubled times when I need some encouragement.

Let me first say I absolutely adore @missgreedyshome … her home account is brilliant and her Lapland holiday if you’ve not seen it, life goals right there …brilliant! 🙌 This book is such a fun self help book in true Charlotte style it’s funny, it’s wise and it’s honest. Loved it!

It’s so hard being a woman in modern life because there’s so much social pressure to be a certain way and even if you tick every box there’s always going to be someone out in the world who’s going to judge how your living life. The only way to live is exactly how Charlotte suggests being true to yourself and knowing in your heart your working on your path. 💕

This book spoke to me so much being someone who’s not a career woman, 33 without kids and a little bit of a nerd it’s sometimes challenging finding my place because other women my age often can’t relate to my lifestyle.

Instead of trying to understand that I’m just a bit different I’ve often felt like I’m seen as a bit unusual, felt a bit misunderstood or I’ve wondered myself if I’m doing life a little bit wrong.

But ultimately the daft thing is we’re happy 😂… so why do I care? Others don’t need to understand and the way life is for Adam and I works for us, so my insecurities are daft.

Being an Instagramer as well she totally gets why I use Instagram … for me it’s a positive tool which I use to be creative and celebrate the little life wins, it gives me goals and focus like a form of self care that works for me. If that ever stops I would delete just like I did FB. Some might think I’m a show off but that’s their false narrative not understanding my purpose. This is why the worlds a mess in my opinion the bad stuff people love hearing (nosey gits!) but god forbid we say when something good happens, that means your a show off apparently… I disagree personally 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love what Charlotte says as well about your younger self too. So much about my past I still hold on to but like Charlotte those low moments got me to where I am today… so thanks to my old self for fighting them battles and getting through! You’ve survived 100% of your hurdles … you can do life!! 💕

I’ve followed Charlotte on Instagram for years and so pleased about the changes and happiness that have transformed her life.

But so disappointed in this book, I read it in 2 nights not because I enjoyed it so much but, but because there’s so little content. It’s very repetitive
I really think there should have been more support and guidance on book contact, penguin is a name we trust in book publishing. Surprised this got through editing to be honest.

I love self help, inspirational books but feel disappointed with this one. Too simply written and as much as I can swear with the next person I didn’t feel the need to be reading it in the book, I’m no prude but just didn’t read well.

Lots of clearly unresolved resentment mixed with repetitive quotes that were in no way original. Very one sided and from a self confessed bully who hated authority and was a very difficult person to deal with. It just felt like an attack on the people who tried to help her. No real recognition of what people tried to do, only what she felt they didn't.

Not a recommend read from me, but continue to wish Charlotte well in her self help journey.

I absolutely love Charlotte, so it really pains me to give this book a low score.
I felt like the book was a bit of a muddle of genres and the target audience changed repeatedly throughout the book. It was a mix of self help, memoir, and DIY tips. It felt very much like the the advice parts were aimed at young teenagers, where as the diy tips were aimed at an older demographic. It was a little confusing. I did however really enjoy the last part of the book where Charlotte looked back at her life so far and wrote a letter to her younger self and one to her older self, it was very endearing. I really wish I could have given this book more stars.

I LOVED it. At the time of reading this book, i have had surgery so i am currently recovering and to read a book so positive & so bubbly and refreshing to read, it brought joy to my heart.
It is a book that everyone needs to read and keep on their shelf for a time when they just need a little advice or a pick me up.
Thank you as well to charlotte because this book, was exactly what i needed, it is like a big sister book. Everything she wrote about i could relate to so much & it is so refreshing to know that i am not the only one who struggles and has the same thoughts as she does.
I loved loved loved it.
Would highly highly recommend.

I loved this book! Honestly I have so so many quotes from it saved and marked off with little tabs! It was such a lovely read and I read it so quickly! I follow Miss Greedy on Instagram and she really is an inspiration. She has the life I aspire to have and this book made me feel for the first time it really could be possible. It touches on difficult parts of her life which she has pulled through but at the time didn't think she could so just shows how we can do anything we dream off and life can get better!

I was brought this as a present, I was not a follower of the author. However, I think if you have followed the authors life and Instagram journey, you would enjoy it more. I love reading self help books, this one was not it for me. The writing was basic, and it’s full of pictures that just repeat the words written on the page. It offers no real advice or guidance, and the little advice it does discuss, is nothing that hasn’t been written before. It’s more of a book of her life, which was nice to read - but I possible could have got more into the book if I knew who she was before hand.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s not a memoir nor a self help book. It’s a reminder of who you are and what you can achieve. Really easy to read and beautifully written, it made me sob in places and belly laugh in others. Charlotte has been through the ringer but doesn’t make you pity or feel sorry for her. She is strong and brave and this book is a testament to her journey.

Extremely pretty book and I really love Charlotte! What a lovely lady and a Lovely read! Really enjoyed the autobiographical parts because her life seems really interesting and inspiring but there just wasnt enough of it. So I just wish it had been more of a memoir than a generic advice/self help book!

I love the author but this book was.. meh. There are too many full page quotes and weirdly aligned text - made it feel that she was trying to bulk up and fill more pages for the sake of it. It was a combo of an autobiography and a self help book but it didn't quite master either? It was all very generic, the author's personality wasn't there sadly.
