This Is the Good Stuff
This is exactly what I was looking for as Nate, Emily, and Aiden begin to find their footing between Dom, switch, and sub. It is tantalizing and rewarding! 🔥💥💦
I received an author's copy of this collection. The narrator is Aleks Esquire. I like him with the male characters but not so much with Emily.

This is the second three books in the erotic short story series featuring BDSM and sharing. The story is well written and easy to read with a fun cast of characters. We get a front row seat on this steamy voyage of exploration which is a lot of fun. Overall, I very much enjoyed these stories and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

This was the sequel to an already hot series of novellas but somehow ups the ante and gets hotter. A nice quick spicy read.

I was so hooked after listening to volume 1 that I listened to volume 2 as soon as I finished it.
Though not a fan of cheating, I liked that it initially ended up making Nate and Emily's marriage stronger. I really liked the way the author made the parallel here between Noah's reaction to a revelation with Emily in a bedroom scene where he lost control and was surprised she'd enjoyed it (volume 1), and in this volume a scene where Emily loses control with Nate in a way that she's surprised that he enjoyed.
However, as much as I liked that connection, I don't like the manner in which she lost control. I think it was out of line, definitely not okay; and if he'd have done that to her and not the other way around I think it would have completely changed the tone and readers would have a different reaction.
Another thing that changed for me in this book from the first is my perception of Emily. Overall I think Emily is a very selfish person, and her refusing Noah a chance to sub himself when he needed it really turned me off after her cheating and him willing to change their whole marriage dynamic to make her happy and give her what she needed. Especially since it would be with Aiden- not like he wanted to bring in another man or woman. She never quite recovered in my eyes after that and I became a lot more aware and critical of her selfishness. She's in a state of arosal in pretty much every scene she's in and makes me wonder what else she does to occupy her time beyond sex.
My only factual nitpick was Aiden's age- I could have sworn at the beginning of a chapter he said he was almost 50. But later in same chapter he said he was turning 54 this year.
Like with the first, I absolutely loved Aleks Esquire's narration on this audiobook! He had very clear, distinct voices for all three characters. Even Nate and Aiden's voices are very different based on the tone and depth they spoke in. I was impressed. And I can admit a big part of my decision to get the two audiobooks in this series was hearing Aleks's sexy Aiden voice. I just had to have it!

Still just as good as the 1st volume!
This is the second volume (#4, #5, and #6) of Emily, her husband Nate and Aiden's story.
I'm not gonna say much about how the story develops, as I can't find a way to do that without at least divulging some information that would spoil your fun. But I'll say this: it was super interesting to see how they came together and worked out their problems. Like I said on the first volume, it was super well done and it shocked me how much I enjoyed this book. In this one we get to see a new side to Nate and his needs. I loved how we still got to see some drama (nothing major, but fun nonetheless). It was so captivating, I couldn't put it down. And Aiden's character, while still being a Dom, was gentle when needed and caring and touchy, it was great! Overall, just loved it!!
Also, I got the audiobook and damnnnn... That guy's voice worked perfectly for both Nate and Aiden. Especially Aiden, the deep baritone in which he spoke had me sweating. I loved it. The story, the plot, the pace, the SPICE (yes, it was even better in this one), and the voice actor.
This book includes the 4th, 5th, and 6th installments of the Illicit Desires series (a 9-book series). I'm already pretty familiar with this author and she has yet to be a miss for me, and this series especially has been great. Can't wait to read the rest! 100% recommend!!! Now go listen to it!

Saturday has rolled around and it's time for Nate to be in the same room and watch the sexy D/S action between his wife, Emily, and her lover, Aidan. Nate is conflicted and with his own submissive feelings he's experiencing, and Aidan find himself trying to figure out their roles too. When the two men find themselves alone together, Nate finds himself saying yes to Sir too. Emily isn't happy that Nate wants to be Aidan's submissive too, and Nate can't understand why she would deny him that. Aidan feels like he's being torn between the two yet still wants both of them as his submissives. The trio began to explore their D/s relationship with one another, though Aidan is uncertain about moving forward with Nate. Emily and Nate are exploring their own at-home D/s relationship where he's happy to say yes Mistress. Aidan begins training Nate and Emily in earnest as the trio's action gets hotter.

First a disclaimer, I'm not into BDSM stories and a little shy about stories involving bisexual activity.
After the first trilogy introduced Emily and Nate to the BDSM and (mild) cuckold lifestyles, this trilogy of books continues the adventure but now Nate wants to become more involved.
Because of the slight shift in focus, Emily is still very much the center of both men's desires, there is some homo-eroticism present. It does not go deep into that territory in this trilogy but it is there if that is an issue. I was able to read through it with no problem.
There are a few stand out sex scenes throughout this collection and at least one within each book.
While the first trilogy was probably a bit more to my taste (BDSM with husband watching), this trilogy was more focused on Emily and Nate being shown (reminded of) their love for each other through BDSM.

Okay from book
I don't like the way they shamed Nate. I think that it wasn't all on him and they kind of made it feel like it was all on him that she wasn't being satisfied. Communication goes both ways is the way I feel about it. I mean, I'm glad they worked it out in the Inn, but I think it kind of listen Nate as A strong man because didn't communicate what she wanted. And sometimes I feel that it's just not about always asking or always knowing and they didn't know and they embarrassed him and I didn't like that part of the book. But overall, it's a good series. I think they're too short. And I'm burning through my audio credit for it, so I'll be returning.

I like this bundle a lot more than the first one. In these stories Nate knows about Emily's relationship with Aiden and is actually a part of it, so it doesn't feel like cheating like the first stories did. I love how Nate realizes that he submissive tendencies and wants to act on them. There is M/M in this bundle which is even more exciting. Can't wait to read the next stories to find out what happens!.

Taking things to the next level, Nate and Emily become Aiden’s submissives. Emily can be a little jealous, and thinks that Aiden is hers. I think she can be a little selfish considering she was cheating on her husband and he forgave her. Emily realizes that she loves both Nate and Aiden. Nate realizes that he loves being dominated by Emily and things get steamy for them!

I loved this book! It had plot as well as spice. I thought that the characters were well written and developed nicely throughout the book. I also loved how hot and steamy this book is, check your warnings! But for me this was one heck of a great read that had me anticipating the next page. Definitely get this book a read, you won't be disappointed.

I bought this series on Amazon by accident(thought it was kindle unlimited) It is spicy and a good read. It is a fast read. I have read 2 in the series in 3 days. I liked it but wish I knew more about Aiden

In this second installment of Illicit Desires, Aiden begins to pursue his interest in having both Nate and Emily as his subs. Emily gets jealous because she wants Aiden to herself, but she comes around (no pun intended) and finds that 1) Nate CAN be as rough a lover as she needs; and 2) it's pretty hot seeing Nate submit to Aiden.
While the story contains explicit scenes, they are described without sullying the characters or the action. This is an especially pleasing quality of Ms. Cross' writing style which draws me back for more and more of her stories.
So glad this series has been extended into additional episodes. Aiden has yet to confess his love for Emily, and I'm anxious to find out what new hijinx the three lovers can get into.
