He rejected me coldly all those years ago. Now I’m forced to marry him. Our mafia families are old allies, and we grew up together. But when I offered him my heart, he stomped all over it. Now the don demands that I marry him to make me a top protection priority.
I’m sick of being controlled like a powerless little girl with no choice. I hate it that I’m being forced to share my life with the mobster who broke my heart. But it gets worse: he and I have to go on the run together. Which means spending extensive alone-time together in hotel rooms.
You know what the most twisted thing about all of it is? I’m still not over him. I hate how safe I feel when he gets dangerously close. I hate how my blood turns hot when he’s playing it cool. I hate how I want to forget this cruel world and give myself to him even though I shouldn’t.
How much longer can I resist giving myself to the mobster?
The Sorvino Mobster series takes you to the streets of New York, where ruthless Italian mafia dons rule the world. These are not the hero’s from your old story books. They are arrogant, rich, brutal and whether you want it or not, they will break your heart only to ultimately heal and love it.
Veda Rose loves getting lost in the intense, dark and suspenseful universes she creates. Although her characters can often be complicated and twisty, at the core of it all is deep and profound love.
Born and raised in Portland, Veda Rose has always been an introvert who could often be found deeply engrossed in a book. Or multiple books. So it was only natural that at some point she would embark on her own journey as a writer to bring to life her wild imagination.
When she is not writing or thinking out her next tormented love fantasy, she enjoys hiking and exploring unfamiliar places with her furry companions.
I really wanted to like this book…. BUT was a waste of time.
H- Frankie-younger brother of Alessandro h- Amelia You can easily read this book/story in 1 day. I read Alessandro & Katya story 1st & was excited to read this one. I couldn’t finish it, I stopped at chapter 27. I didn’t like Amelia. She was just too dumb for me. With everything that went on with her being abused by her mom, she is just too naive & dumb. I like Frankie but to some extent! I couldn’t take the back & forth between them! Very annoyinh
First book was so much better than this one. Tbh you can skip this I skimmed through some of this book it just wasn’t as book as the first. Amelia acted literally like a juvenile than a grownup I think the author was going for a bratty attitude and missed it by 100 football fields
I am being forced to marry a man that broke my heart along time ago.
Amelia hates being treated like a child. But she definitely acts like one. She makes a lot of bad choices that show how immature she really is. Frankie is going to be her husband and broke things off before to keep her out of his life stile, to protect her. He really loves her but she doesn’t know that. She make things difficult with her attitude and running her mouth which could get them killed. I really enjoyed this book. It has a lot of twists and turns. Keeps you interested. If you like Mafia romances you will enjoy this book.
Book 2 if the Sorvino family series has all the ingredients for a Mafia story: pretty girl, hunky guy, arranged marriage, sex, danger, a little violence, the girl’s life is at risk, and is saved by the mobster. It was a good read, but not nerve-racking, edge-of-your-seat thrilling as most Mafia stories. Hopefully the rest of the series turns up the heat.
If I could give it zero stars I would ☹️ Sucks because the first book was 10/10 *chefs kiss* 🤌🏻 The fmc in this book was just so unlikable.. she was whining and complaining the entire book. 😭 She acted like a bratty teenager. Not giving up on this series though, hopefully the next books makes up for this one! 🤞🏻
I enjoyed this story. It had a moderate amount of drama but all things worked out in the end. I felt this was a second chance romance with and arranged marriage. I definitely enjoyed this story.
This one was nice, love second chance romances but don't like how it ended lol. Hopefully I know what happens in the next one, but Frankie and Amelia are made for each other
Another good story continuing the Sorvino family saga. Lies, love, treachery and ruining for their lives. What more could you ask for from a Mafia romance.
