I should never have kissed her.
Not ten years ago.
And absolutely, not ten minutes ago.

But now that I have...
All I can think about is how soon I can kiss her again.
To hold her in my arms and never let her go again.

I should have known better.
Because she’ll never be mine.

The unforgettable Sofia Burke.
My sister’s best friend and the woman I’ve loved since I knew what love was.

When she ran away ten years ago, taking my heart with her, I forced myself to move on.
I tried to forget her.
Impossible.

Now she has slammed back into my life after all these years, filled with grand ideas for her new bakery.
The problem?
I’m the architect working with her to design her dream bakery.

A constant emotional battle begins, and a simmering passion awakens.
When we both finally give into the blazing hot desire between us, thoughts of a future begin again.

More than anything, I want forever.
But I’m a fool because I didn’t learn my lesson ten years ago.

Forever is impossible with Sofia.
Especially when running away is her specialty.

When the project is complete, how long will it be before she breaks my heart again?

He was heartbroken so now ten years later she is back with her sister and plan on opening a café/bakery and has asked Oliver to do the architectural design according to a draft she has drawn. She won’t say why she left but shows signs of fear and had suffered greatly. She is fearful that if she tells him what happened he won’t want anything to do with her anymore. You will find there is trust issues, but you can see the love they have for each other. Sofia Burke & Oliver Gharett were friends by association, Sofia has been friends with Oliver’s younger sister since they were adolescents. As such, Oliver was always around the girls as he’s very protective of his sister, Bev.

Sofia’s reason for leaving the Burke family at the tender age of sixteen is finally revealed in this hard won romance. And I mean hard… Oliver had to chase, chase, chase Sofia, until he finally gave up, but then once Sofia found her voice and her strength she finally went after Oliver.

Loved the relationship as it matured and developed; and it’s always great to see how the Burke siblings all support each other now that their abusive, vindictive, and mean father is behind bars (still causing trouble).

There is a happy ending for Sofia and Oliver and a glimpse of all the previous happy couples and the next couple to be featured.

You could tell the relationship between Sofia and Oliver had a lot of love between them, but they had a lot of pain too. I'm not sure about Oliver's plans to disagree on Sofia and Carmella's store plans, but it was a plan worth trying. I loved that Oliver didn't give up on Sofia even though he believed he was the reason for their estrangement. I loved that the two had to spend time in close proximity and with shared loved ones while remembering the past, good and bad.

Want a good old happier ever after? Well that is what you get in this beautifully written novel. All the ups and downs of a fairytale; but with modern-day twists and in depth characters. All make this one to curl up with on a good stormy day. Once you start you won't want to put it down!

Even more comes out in the storyline, I love reading these books in the series they are so raw in feelings and problems happening within the family and each individual person. There are so many things coming out to hate Jameson the father even more.
