Time for Me is for any woman who feels stretched too thin, burnt out, or ready to find a better work-life balance. Helene helps women figure out if they're doing too much, asking readers to reflect and journal on different scenarios in their life, such as: Then she provides four power keys for what she calls the Time for Me Program, an easy plan to help women nourish their spirit and find contentment in their lives.
Public television host, Emmy Award winning executive producer, and workplace consultant, Helene Lerner has covered a wide array of women’s issues, including relationships, self-esteem, breaking barriers, and work-life balance.
Whether you are married or single, have kids or no kids, there is something a lot of women have in common. We struggle with time for ourselves and we commit to too much. This book helps you to slow down and look at your time so that you can commit more time for self-care. I also like that there is space for journaling and reflection in the suggestions. The book is also filled with examples from the lives of real women.
Some of the lessons I particularly enjoyed in this book include: 1. Be more, not do more 2. Say no and let go of guilt 3. Don’t take it personally 4. Remain flexible
These are all things we know, but are good reminders! Thank you so much to Sourcebooks for sending me a copy of this book/journal! I can’t wait to pass it to friends!
Thank you Sourcebooks for the advanced electronic review copy of this great book. This is a wonderful guide focusing on self-care for those who tend to put themselves last. The book explains how to prioritize time for oneself and has journaling space to respond to built-in prompts as well as note taking.
While I was searching for new books to read, I stumbled upon this book and decided to pick it out. I think the message of self care is an important one but not one that people remember too often and this book definitely reminded me of that. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to any lady who needs a reminder, or believe they are doing too much.
I really enjoyed Time for Me: Self Care and Simple Pleasures for Women Who Do Too Much. We often get so busy taking care of others, we forget to take care of ourselves. This book contains four Power Keys for women along with journaling prompts. I will be putting this practical book to good use.
Helene’s book was really enjoyable to read and I loved the overall message and advice given. Everyone should take a moment to read Time For Me, as it will really benefit you day to day.
