Who killed The Raggy Men?

DCI Ben Pitt and DS ‘Jaz’ Khunkhun arrive at the Shropshire village of Upper Egginton to investigate the macabre murder of Tom King, the licensee of ‘The Green Man’. Suspicion falls on members of the local Morris dancing group, ‘The Raggy Men’ of which King was a member.

As an outsider and a womaniser, King is disliked by many villagers but has this grown into murderous hatred?

The pub was named after local legends of The Green Man but there is nothing supernatural about further murders which occur in the sleepy Shropshire village.

A feared London mobster arrives in the village and Tom King’s dark past is revealed giving further motive for murder.

As the number of suspects grows, Pitt and Khunkhun search for answers.

If, like me, you enjoy Morris dancers, micro-breweries, real ale, crime fiction and you happen to live in, or like visiting, Shropshire then this book is for you. Well, you don’t have to like all or even just some of those features because this is a well-written tale worthy of your interest. Anyway, I heartily recommend this volume and will be searching out more books by the author. Congratulations to all involved in its production.
