Summer 1923 - PARIS
Camille decides it's time to make her promised visit to Paris to see her old friend, Madame Tatou. She, Ottilie, and Cecily travel to France by aeroplane, a new experience for them all. They have a purpose in going to Paris, one that they hope will end in joy, but their plans are somewhat waylaid when Madame Tatou finds the body of her maid in a cupboard at her 7th Arrondissement apartment. The intrepid Camille, and her loyal maid, Cecily, set out to discover why Madame Tatou's maid was murdered, who wanted her dead...and why!

Amazon Review - THE CHRISTMAS TREE MURDERS - A really lovely book set in the 1920's. Camille and her maid plus other acquaintances have the murders of three women and a horse to help the police with. Then there is also a missing ladies maid to be found. Camille has a few obstacles to get past including men who think they know best. I really enjoyed reading this book.
MURDER IN PARIS is the fifth book in the Camille Divine Murder Mysteries series, a mystery that tests Camille and Cecily to the limit, a story of intrigue with a French flavour, and of course, our girls, Lady Camille Divine and her loyal maid, Cecily.
The Camille Divine Mysteries Series will appeal to fans of Agatha Christie, Agatha Raisin, Downton Abbey, Father Brown by G K Chesterton, The Miss Fischer series, and the contemporary series, Midsomer Murders.

Cecily is really the star

I do like Camille Devine but Cecily is the best. She really comes into her own in this volume. Looked my forward to seeing if Knolly is ok, and what the neck is Chief Inspector Richard's secret?

I have enjoyed many stories like this one, set in just after the turn of the century. The characters are interesting and tightly knit with each other, The plot is easily followed, and the premise is finding her ward's parents and an old friend kidnapped for ransom. It is all sorted out in the end, but the story is how it was all done. I definitely recommend this book.

Visit to Paris

A holiday to Paris leads to murder, kidnapping, searching for French parents and lots of coffee and pastries. Will Richard reveal his secretive past? Fly to Paris and find out.

Crime Really Doesn't Pay

Great read. The women of Duke St. are at it again. This time they are on holiday in Paris. But, of course, where they go, trouble follows. My favorite book in the series.

Interesting novel set in Paris with Camille, and Richard and a whole cast of characters. It involves murder right in the first chapter and continues on to an interesting conclusion. I’m enjoying the series and look forward to the remaining books.

Oh I did enjoy this! It's probably the best in the series so far. I realise that as books go these are quite light and even frivolous but I am enjoying them!

The Camille Divine series started off really strong with 'The Christmas Tree Murders' and usually seties draw me in for a few books, but it is rare for me to get addicted and looking forward to every new release! (Full disclosure, the other series I collected were Adams, Rice, Holt, Rankin, Self, Boyne & Wilbur Smith so it's varied)

Camille was my first cosy mystery and I was immediately hooked. It's a new genre for me and I was already drawn in by the historical aspect but as soon as I started reading and getting to know the characters and wriying style, I was abdolutely entranced

Paris is my favourite so far (although it is really close) and you get to see a different side of our heroines and indeed Richard! Cecily and Elsie play blinders and Camille heads the charge! Absolutely fantastic!!
