The Hero: Aiden - he was former military special forces and was held captive as part of Project Arma for over two years and given a super-soldier serum which altered his DNA and gave him supernatural abilities, like speed, strength, fast healing, super hearing and more. He along with the rest of his team, were rescued by another team from the same project. Since then, his team had all moved to a new town, Cradle Mountain, Idaho and started up a private security firm.
The heroine: Cassie - she was dating Aiden when he disappeared. During time, he was gone, she married her childhood best friend, Damien Webber. She isn’t happy with her life or the people her family spends time with. She wanted out of her house and out of that life, and she planned to get out soon. Her, her husband and her sister were part of “the organization”, a cult run by an awful man named Elijah who is always watching her and her family. She had suffered from a disease called NMH since she was young, it basically meant that if she was on her feet too long, if she was under too much stress or if she got too hot, her blood pressure would drop to a point where she would faint.
The Story: One day Aiden gets a job to protect a new client. Damien Webber personally requested him to protect Cassie. He said someone could be watching him, so he only gave a few details. He told Damien that he had to kidnap Cassie and keep her safe for a week. He said that Cassie was in real danger of being killed and it had to look like a real kidnapping and nobody else could know. Damien was very sketchy with the details, and he looked desperate and wouldn’t give any other information.
Cassie’s sister Mia lived at the compound, near Elijah and his brothers. Cassie hated her sister being near those people. Cassie was working with the police and planned to take Elijah and the organization down. Though Aiden and his crew kidnapped her before she ever had a chance to do what she had planned. I really enjoyed the entire cult story, there was a ton of action and suspense. Plus, it is so easy to see a cult leader as evil and wanting him to get what is coming to him.
This audiobook was done in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Aiden Snow and Ava Lucas. This series has had a lot of great narrators, and this book is no different. Aiden Snow is one of my top favorite male narrators because he has a deep, sexy voice and always does a great job. Ava Lucas has a clear, feminine voice and always sounds so expressive and natural.

This is probably one of my favorite books by Nyssa Kathryn. I instantly fell in love with every aspect of Aiden and Cassie’s beginning to end this story kept my full attention, so many lies have been told that it’s hard to come back from and this is definitely a rollercoaster that left me with so many questions but thankfully every single one is answered throughout. Absolutely loved this one

This was another fantastic read from this talented author.
I was not expecting any of that!
Talk about non stop plot twists.
My heart hurt for both main characters, and I wanted to shake some sense into some characters.
This was a storyline that just keeps on giving, you won't be able to tear yourself away.

Is Aidan’s chance at love lost? Or are he and Cassie meant to be, even if she’s got another man’s last name now? And even more mysterious, why is that man begging Aidan and his team to take Cassie to save her? Oh, the questions are piling up, and the answers are taking their time. But it’s a ride I’m so glad I accompanied this couple and their team on, because sometimes the truth is ugly and the sides chosen can cause irreparable damage to relationships.
Cassie and Aidan may have been apart for a while, but their undying love is obvious. And since Damien reached out to Aidan, he’s clearly on board with whatever needs to happen to save Cassie. Aidan needs to know WHY though. Why didn’t she wait? Why does Damien need her saved now? And why didn’t Aidan go after her for answers when he was first free of Project Arma? And I promise, every single answer is one you absolutely need. It’s one that just feels right. And it’s one that makes all misery that brought us to this point worth the pain. But now that they’re back together, Aidan and Cassie have bigger problems. They need to both keep breathing to find their forever, and someone desperately wants that whole breathing thing to come to an end for at least one of them.
Then there’s the betrayal. The one person who should have Cassie’s back after all she’s done for that person. And honestly, I sort of didn’t care for a minute or two if that person escaped unscathed. I was that angry. But Cassie is good and loyal to her core, so she’ll find a way to work through the pain. Maybe she’ll get back to good. Maybe not. Either way, Aidan and his team (and her new friends) are there to support Cassie in any way necessary.
This story has a lot of twists and danger, but it’s perfectly fitting for this series and leaves me wanting more of this team sooner rather than later. We shall see what mystery comes our way next, and I’m definitely here for it.

Aidan and Cassie knew both love and betrayal in equal amounts. They already learned with each other what it was like to give yourself to someone and be cherished to no end.
But neither of them expected to live the hell they endured that forced them apart.
After years of wondering what their lives could've been in each other's arms, they finally had the chance to do it again. But for that to happen, they had to fight evil itself.
The years apart, the distance between them, and the danger that surrounded them both weren't enough to diminish their love and loyalty, despite what appearances made them believe at first.
More than ever, they knew what their love was worth and would stop at nothing to live it again.
Aiden and Cassie fought for their story and they deserved the love they created.
I gotta say, Nyssa Kathryn did it again.

Cassie Webber will do anything to get her sister out of a local cult, even marrying a man to do it. Aiden and his friends received a call from someone asking them to kidnap his wife for her own safety. However, things changed when Aiden realised the person they were saving was his childhood sweetheart. Will they be able to save her sister and have a second chance at love? Readers of Aidan will continue to follow Cassie Webber and Aiden Pratt to discover what happens next.
I love Nyssa Kathryn's writing style; it always ensures I engage with her books and characters. Aiden did not disappoint. I was involved with this book from the first page and continued to the end. I learnt about the problems faced by children who grew up in a cult. In addition, I learnt about running a small security business.
I love Nyssa Kathryn's portrayal of her characters and the way they interact with each other throughout this book. Aidan is well-written and researched by Nyssa Kathryn. I like Nyssa Kathryn's description of Aiden's settings, which allowed me to imagine being part of the book's plot.
I recommend this book.

This was excellent!!! I loved the story and the way everything played out. There was one plot point that I didn't really understand but I don't want to say anything to spoil it. It's not a huge issue and didn't take away from the story. I loved the chemistry between Aidan and Cassie and especially enjoyed their friendship. The way the two of them communicated was fantastic. Another great addition to this series!

Can we take a moment and appreciate, well I will take a moment, you my friend reading this review, needs to pick up Aiden and read it Pronto. I have enjoyed reading this series. Buuuttttt, I really do feel Aiden is probably my favorite of the Blue Halo guys. I mean this can always change. I have said this a few times about the guys so far. However, ladies and gents right here, in this post, I have claimed Aiden as my new Book Boyfriend. Le sigh....
True to Nyssa Kathryn books, this one has Mystery, danger, suspense, heart, so much heart. This has been one of my favorite second chance romance books. The book grabbed me from the start, and didn't let go, I mean how could it not. At the End of Flynn, we were left with a brief preview of what was the start of Aiden's book. We are thrust into immediate state of "what is going on"? Boom... hooked.
I really love how Nyssa writes her couples. Donthey hve issues absolutely, but their issues tend to be the outside issues rather than the couples issues. I do enjoy that in books. Don't get me wrong I love angst or enemies to lovers. There is just something about that insta love that gets me. All of her couples have soul recognizing love that is just simply my cat nip!
So of course, Aiden and Cassie are no exception. I loved this couple so so much. They way Aiden adores Cassie and vise versa. They know they have a relationship that is special.
Cassie. Oh this girl is a complete bad ass. Complete!!!! Her bravery is awe inspiring. What this girl will do for those she loves. Way to go Cassie.
Aiden is .... Aiden.... I know what sort of description is that. My friends. When I said I love Aiden I love him. Hahahaha. There was just something about his character that has me in a puddle. 🫠🫠.

In this fifth Blue Halo story the focus was about Aidan Pratt and his ex girlfriend, Cassie Webber, who’s in dire need of help. The action and drama was almost nonstop and the excitement level was off the rating scale.
Aidan, having thought he’d been forgotten by his ex girlfriend, was a tad confused and understandably so too. However, it didn’t take long for things to be sorted and then the real issue of keeping Cassie safe was foremost in his and the Blue Halo team’s minds. Aidan was such a sweetheart, I absolutely loved his commitment to Cassie and his immediate understanding.
Cassie was one awesome character who didn’t stand around like a limp noodle when her life was threatened. She had a solid steel backbone and some great self defence moves to go with it. I loved her character for this and so many other reasons but mainly because she constantly thought of others.
Together Aidan and Cassie were a dynamite couple and at every twist and turn in the story I was cheering for them. Likewise I was also wishing the baddies would get their comeuppance too. You can’t help but become emotionally invested in this fantastic story.
The suspense element was sensational and had me on the edge of my seat in many scenes. This series, like this author’s Project Arma series, is first rate five star all the way.

Another great addition to the series! Cassie and Aidan have been through so much and it was sad and heartbreaking to learn everything they’d had to endure over the years apart.
While Aidan was fighting for his life trying to survive a madman and their evil counterparts, then starting a new life in Cradle Mountain with his Blue Halo brothers, Cassie was fighting a different, just as deadly battle for her own, as well as that of her sister and her best friend who became her husband.
Having barely escaped cult life when she was young, being pulled back in to save her sister was walking a very dangerous line she didn't know if she'd escape the second time around. There were many nefarious goings on and she was going to do her best to bring down their psycho leader and his minions once and for all. And save herself, her sister, and her husband in the process. When her husband reaches out to Aidan with a cryptic message to save Cassie, everything quickly turns complicated for Aidan and his team. They are all in for the fight of their lives as they try to rescue Cassie and bring down the cult leader and his followers for good. Blue Halo and Aidan fight hard to help him and Cassie find the happy ever after they were due years ago.

Will rekindling their relationship offer them the answers they sought…
Aidan since the beginning of this series is the one man waiting on the sideline, watching his friends fall one after the other. When he, can not, as his heart and soul already belong to someone. Someone who did not wait for him, someone who was his world and now he is left with not even crumbs of what was.
Cassie after loosing one too many person could not bear to lose her sister, her last remaining relative. So she did what she had to in order to protect her and be able to rescue her if needed.
Now more than two years later, she is close to an exit path, if everything follows the tracks.
Both are people who love unconditionally, and while life tore them apart, the feelings are still there, waiting in the shadows, just holding out for the spark to ignite again. Why when she became his next mission, just a touch reawakens everything. But Cassie is set on her course, with Aidan as her protector, they have to adjust to their new reality, with at time Aidan struggling to send her back on the frontline, and Cassie to accept he will do more than rescue her.
Together they are so sweet, their love for one another shinning for their hearts and every actions. Both accepting the other’s changed self, Aidan standing for Cassie’s goal.
A lovely second chance romance even if there never have been any real break between them.

Cassie after loosing one too many person could not bear to lose her sister, her last remaining relative. So she did what she had to in order to protect her and be able to rescue her if needed.
Now more than two years later, she is close to an exit path, if everything follows the tracks.
Both are people who love unconditionally, and while life tore them apart, the feelings are still there, waiting in the shadows, just holding out for the spark to ignite again. Why when she became his next mission, just a touch reawakens everything. But Cassie is set on her course, with Aidan as her protector, they have to adjust to their new reality, with at time Aidan struggling to send her back on the frontline, and Cassie to accept he will do more than rescue her.
Together they are so sweet, their love for one another shinning for their hearts and every actions. Both accepting the other’s changed self, Aidan standing for Cassie’s goal.
A lovely second chance romance even if there never have been any real break between them.

Elijah, the leader is not going to let her out so easily this time, and Mia does not want to go! Aidan receives a strange phone call from Cassie's husband that she needs help and is in danger. Kathryn captures all the feels, the danger, the frustration, the passion, the fierce protectiveness, leaving me wondering and wanting to know more. I just had to keep going. Aiden Snow and Ava Lucas. I don't need to expand further, as everyone knows, they are both favorites of mine. Snow captures Aidan with a strong, alpha voice ready for action. It's easy to feel his pull to Cassie and the way he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Lucas is Cassie and she leaves no question as to the strength of this woman.Cassie's determination to achieve her goal, her hate of the cult, her love for her sister and her passion for Aidan are easy to feel. I could not get enough of this team and enjoyed their performance.

*Sigh* - Aidan Snow
I am biased because I love these narrators but I entirely adored this story and thought the narration added a whole new dimension to it for me.
How does this series just keep getting better and better..
So what do we know…Aiden kidnapped and held for a time being experimented on. Cassie was his one true love but 6 months into his disappearance she married someone else (her best friend 🤨) and since Aiden came back she hasn’t reached out (though neither has he, stubborn oaf!) Then said best friend/husband asks Aiden to kidnap Cassie…. And so on we go
Well I have to say on the face of it this wasn’t going to be my favourite trope, but I am so happy to say I was wrong and the author totally pulled this one out of the bag, then the powerhouse narration duo really brought this to life and engaged me even more in this series. Aiden narrated Aiden (well that’s weird to type..) wonderfully and you could feel the hurt in the first parts of this book then the gentleness coming though as the truth comes out.
Cassie is one of the strongest female characters in the Blue Halo series so far (and if you’ve read the preceding books you know that’s saying something) Nothing is as it seems, everything you think you know is turned on it’s head and for one of the medically weakest in the group Cassie has the biggest heart and it’s so easy to understand why Aiden adores her so much. Powerfully performed, the characters determination is really brought out by Ava Lucas, as well as the love she has for Aidan.
Action filled as well as odd deeply romantic moments where we see the old Cassie and Aiden shine through, this book has everything.
Eagerly waiting to watch Tyler fall over Emerson next

Aiden and Cassie’s story is one of my favourites!
Sometimes it’s not the past of our super-soldiers that comes back to haunt them!
In putting together this military and second-chance story of Aiden and Cassie’s, Author Nyssa Kathryn has put the fifth book in her Blue Halo series pretty much up there as one of my favourites!
AIDEN was missing for two years, and when he and his team finally returned, they’d found that life had moved on without them. And in Aiden’s case, the love of his life had moved on without him.
What is a man to do when her husband, her former childhood best friend and a man that Aiden had trusted, asks the team, and him especially, to kidnap her and protect her?
And from what?
It seemed that Cassie had kept a secret, and her childhood had come back to haunt her.
Aiden was the gorgeous, growly alpha super-soldier that I love reading about, while Cassie is trying to run a rescue mission of her own, never imagining that her best-friend-now-husband would go behind her back to keep her out of it.
Importantly though, have no concerns about plot content because Ms Kathryn has you covered. She had a couple of twists up her sleeve that happened before I even realised and I loved every word.

Aidan Pratt lost the love of his life when he was taken hostage and experimented on with Project Arma (if you want to know more, check out the Project Arma Series) but things aren’t exactly what they seem. The book opened with Cassie Webber’s husband asking for Adian and his Blue Halo team to kidnap her and get her away from a situation that tis going to kill her. Aiden has reservations because this is the man that Cassie married instead of hi. But as the book unfolds, you find ou the truth behind their relationship. The truth behind why Cassie made the choices she did, and some truths of Cassie’s past that Aiden wasn’t aware of. Nyssa Kathryn has created this amazing world that she continues to build on with alpha heroes that are soft at the same time. They will burn the world to the ground for their heroines, but when it comes to their heroines themselves they are gentle in the most profound ways.
There were a couple of twists that happen, one I thought was coming but didn’t know if it was goin gin the direction it did or another thought that I had. But the second twist that happened… I did not expect that one. This entire series stands alone extremely well, but you would remiss to miss out on the amazing work that Nyssa Kathryn continues to put out.

But the second twist that happened… I did not expect that one. WOW happens a lot before, during and after each book from this author, pulling me in and not letting go, making me fall for each new character introduced and weaving a story that keeps me glued to every single page.
A second chance romance mixed in with suspense and danger, with Aidan and Cassie as the main leads. We know that Aidan still loves Cassie, but she married another man after he disappeared and he hasn’t had the courage to confront her. But when her husband calls and asks Aidan to kidnap her, to save her life, he doesn’t hesitate and when the two are alone….he may just get the answer to his question….WHY
Cassie has never stopped loving Aidan, she knows she messed up after he left but she is determined to see what she started years ago to the end with or without Aidan’s help and maybe, just maybe they may get their second chance….if the threat doesn’t take them out first.
WOW…not one word, sentence, page was wasted, suspense, danger, action, bad guys, steam, and amazing characters that will have you falling head over heels for them. Add in the twists and turns, surprises and the love between Aidan and Cassie that never died…..WOW

Aiden and a Cassie were in love They had a plan and a future. Then Aiden is kidnapped and his DNA is altered in an effort to make the perfect super soldier. When Aiden is finally free from his imprisonment , he returns to find Cassie married to her childhood best friend. Seeing her happily married, he leaves her be and returns to Idaho and the business he helped start, Blue Halo Security. Then Cassie's husband contacts Aiden and asks him to protect Cassie. What will happen when the two reunite and will Aiden be able to keep her safe?
As usual, Nyssa Kathryn writes a great book with plenty of suspense, action, plot twists and amazing characters. I had a hard time getting things done because all I wanted to do was read this book to the end. Kathryn has a way of fleshing out her characters that makes you feel like you know them and know what they are gong through. This book captured my attention from the very beginning and held it all the way through. I enjoy seeing how the characters have changed and grown over time. Love Cassie's perseverance and strength. I definitely recommend this book and any book written by this author.

Once again, the author delivers another wonderful story in this much loved series. A series about former military men that were part of Project Arma , had their DNA altered and later were kidnapped . Men who have now created a business to help others.

This suspense romance is another great addition to the series and I for one, can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for us.

She is married to her best friend and needs to be kidnapped by Aidan, the love of her life until he was taken, in order to survive.
He is willing to do anything to protect the love of his life, but her need to go back regardless of her safety has Aidan's every nerve ending on edge because he was born to protect this woman.
This book gives us everything in terms of feelings and the emotional roller coaster is something you'll never forget.
How after Project Arma and four books of the Halo series, this author is still able to not only surprise but bring us relatable and lovable characters we just want to cuddle with and take home is beyond me, but I can't get enough and this action-packed, unputdownable, fast-paceed, heart-wrenching, heart-warming book has become one of my favorites. I can't wait for the next one and the next one.

Aidan is the fifth book in the Blue Halo series. This is Aidan and Cassie’s book.
Earlier books in this series have let us know that Aidan had been dating a girl he planned to marry when he was kidnapped by Project Arma. We also learned that Cassie had gotten married while Aidan was being held prisoner, but it turns out that not everything is as it seems.
There is a little more action in this book than some of the others. I love how once Cassie and Aidan are face to face, neither one of them can hide how they feel. Their feelings pick back up and it was so sweet that Aidan had the love of his life back. SPOILER ----> Cassie might be married in name, but that was ALL it was and ALL it had ever been. The truth comes out rather quickly, and Aidan and his team promise to help in any way they can to save Cassie’s sister and shut down the cult.
I wasn’t sure about the true intentions of a certain side character, but I again loved how Aidan’s team had his back and also had Cassie’s. I like that the girlfriends of the guys all become friends. They offer advice, but they're not pushy or nosy. They seem to genuinely care and are supportive.

Aiden has loved Cassie since high school. If Aiden had not disappeared they would be together right now but they can't be together because Cassie is married to another man. Cassie is married to Damien her best friend and one Aiden always trusted with her. He never saw it coming.
When Damien needs Aidans help to save the woman they both love Aidan and his team are in, especially after Damian said if they did not help she would be dead soon.

This is book 5 in the Blue Halo series and is my favourite to date. You don't have to have read the previous books as each one concentrates on a different couple, but you should start at the beginning to avoid spoilers.
Cassie and Aiden had an amazing relationship but then he was kidnapped by Project Arma and Cassie's life started to fall apart when her sister returned to a life their mother had helped them escaped from. She's now on her own and fighting for the only person she has left. Aiden has been miserable after finding out Cassie got married shortly after he was taken, but hadn't contacted her to find out why.
This book is non-stop action from beginning to end, just when you think things will calm down, something else happens to keep the action going. I was biting my nails a fair few times.
I loved Cassie, she was so strong and independent, she fought for what she believed in but also accepted help when offered.
I loved all the twists this story has, as well as the re-connection of Cassie and Aiden. They really were a perfect match and miserable without each other.

Aidan and Cassie
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. After reading the first four books in the series, I didn’t know how I would get over Cassie marrying someone so soon after Aidan was kidnapped by Project Arma. I knew there would have to be a lot of explaining and I’m glad it wasn’t drawn out. Both Aidan and Cassie had never stopped loving each other but neither knew how to reach out and fix things when Aidan escaped Project Arma.
Finally, Cassie’s husband fixed the problem for them. He hired Aidan and Blue Halo to kidnap Cassie in order to keep her safe. When they’re forced together they are also forced to ask the tough questions they need answers to. I’m glad Aidan was so understanding and forgiving. I loved that Cassie always planned to return to Aiden after her own personal mission was complete.
This was a perfect addition to this series. It was a second chance romance with a lot of action and a lot of questions answers. It was pretty low angst for a second chance romance and the suspense kept Cassie and Aidan on their toes.

Aidan ( Blue Halo)
Aiden is my favorite character in all of this series. He's the type of man a woman could love forever. He's not cruel to Cassie because she married someone else. He never stopped loving her. In this book is a lot of action. The writing is as usual is excellent. I do have one question though. How does Blue Halo make money . I don't believe that the government paid them a huge amount of money for these super soldiers ordeal. They seem to spend all of their time protecting women they love and not go out on other assignments. Where's the money in that. I understand the story is about their love life but other assignments are not mentioned. Surely there isn't a need to go into too many details but almost no mention is made regarding how they stay in business. Just saying. I'm really not interested in the details of their business. A mention of how they stay in business would compete the story. Once again Aidan is my favorite character and this is my favorite book!

NOTHING is more EVIL than evil in the name of religion.....Cassie Webber and Aiden Pratt find that out the hard way! Cassie is such a strong heroine: raised in a psychotic cult, escaped with her mother when she was ten only to have her mother die, spent years in foster care, then lost the love of her life when he's imprisoned by another crazy megalomaniac who thought he could create supersoldiers!

What a read! As always Nyssa Kathryn knocks it out of the park with another one of the mega hunks from Blue Halo Security Group…Aiden is introduced in a previous book as man broken not from being stolen and held captive by Project Arma….but by the love his his life marrying someone else just 6 months after he disappeared. He could never move on from her.
