Saint Merle is a fast-paced stoner comedy that takes a look at marijuana culture in Texas, a state where it’s still highly illegal, while also examining the medical benefits of the once taboo plant. Our hero, Merle Ferguson, a warm hearted, goofy stoner, still has a lot to learn about life. Known as the trailer park weed man, Merle’s black market marijuana grow isn’t going as well as it previously had. Not to mention, his arch nemesis Garrick McNally in the neighboring trailer park has his own illegal grow that is out performing Merle’s. Now struck with the news that a loved one has cancer; Merle’s world is further turned upside down. Finding guidance in an unexpected place, his former high school agriculture teacher, Merle is exposed to new methods of growing and eventually, an underground clinic where marijuana is illegally processed into a lifesaving concentrate called RSO for cancer patients. Along the way you’ll hangout with an eclectic cast of characters that will take you on adventures including trailer park beefs, pro wrestling, Vietnam stories, Nair balloon bombs, and hallucinogens. Will Merle be able to put his antics and ego to the side and absorb the lessons of cultivation and life in general, in time to make a difference?
