Weston Ryder is a lowlife alcoholic barfly who's content to spend his nights drinking, fighting, and fucking.
But during one of his blackout nights of drinking, Weston's ex-girlfriend goes missing, and West immediately becomes the prime suspect.
As the small town of Matchstick quickly turns on him, he sets out to discover the truth and prove his innocence to both the town and himself, and to find the person framing him for the crime.
But the more questions he asks, the darker the answers become.
"In a small town like this, how many secrets can you really keep?"
Any book that brings me to tears gets a 5 ⭐️ rating from me. This book will put you through the wringer of small town drama and emotions. Toxic on again off again relationships, alcohol, affairs, drugs and the all too infamous bar scene. Everyone knows everything about you and your neighbor and there is no where to hide Any lie and rumor will be believed because that’s how people in small towns are - and when it comes to murder, you better hope you weren’t in the wrong place at the wrong time. Some of these topics hit so close to home, it brought me to tears. Definitely recommend
