Brenetta and Her Menagerie is based on real life experiences on a little Caribbean island. Brigitte and her husband Basil tend their menagerie of peacocks, ducks, wild birds, chickens, and Kitty. Brigitte becomes the "bird woman" of Little Cayman Island, British West Indies, with the gift of caring for many creatures that have found their way to her back door. You will never look at ducklings or peacocks, or even your own kitty cat in the same way. The animals demonstrate their personalities, as they interact with each other and "Brenetta."
