Elvis Presley and Oprah Winfrey. Mahatma Gandhi and the Dalai Lama. Albert Einstein and Nikola Tesla. Harry Potter and Star Wars.
What do they have in common?
The They all have been directly or indirectly influenced by Helena Blavatsky — the trailblazing woman who indelibly shaped our world and changed the course of history, “being as much talked about as an emperor” (The Sun).
Now, Ukrainian-born Madame Blavatsky returns with a long-hidden book.
She took a vow of silence not to reveal during her lifetime the place she had visited.
She cleverly hid her secret story in plain sight by giving it to another writer.
What long-lost, timeless wisdom did she conceal in her wonderful narrative?

Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (Russian: Еле́на Петро́вна Блава́тская, Yelena Petrovna Blavatskaya, often known as Madame Blavatsky; 12 August [O.S. 31 July] 1831 – 8 May 1891) was a Russian occultist, philosopher, and author who co-founded the Theosophical Society in 1875. She gained an international following as the leading theoretician of Theosophy, the esoteric religion that the society promoted.
It started off slow going into too much detail about the property but around about 40% through it started to surprisingly pick up and got quite intriguing. She talks about alchemy and the process for creating change along with other interesting subjects such as internal transformation and how we all have an 'animal' entity attached to us but the higher our vibe gets, basically, the less it is likely to control us. Around the 40% to the 80% of the book are the best parts. I'd likely read this again later, especially focusing on the middle parts the most.
I am mesmerized by the Adepts that are visible to those who embrace the truth of our Souls. So much was beautifully described that I wanted to be a student myself! I remain inspired! Thank you so much.
When we finish a book that leaves us feeling inspired, there is also the slight feeling of wishing we hadn't finished said book so that we could continue enjoying feeling inspired. If anyone would like to find an alternate perspective for "being" other than the hamster wheel 9-5/ M/F uninspiring existence, this book just might start you off in a more positive direction with feelings of having some real and actual purpose and perspectives. An easy, enlightening and enjoyable read that I Am certain that I will reread again and again. I Am glad to have "accidented" upon this and recommend it to everyone.
Upon reading this book I couldn't help but sense that it's very important.
On several occasions I've tried reading Madame Blavatsky's most famous works to include The Secret Doctrine and Isis Unveiled, always falling short of completion. Not so with this book. I literally could not put it down.
It's accessible while communicating deep wisdom and truth.
This book is a must read for anyone interested in alchemy, Rosicrucianism and Shambhala.
I chose this rating of five stars because of the pros and the magic that it entailed it provided throughout my imagination. Being one that does believe that this place does exist as Marco Polo I discovered, I believe it still exist to this very day, but it’s very very hidden. Now that we are entering a new phase for the human race, going into five deer, it may just be as time goes on over the years perhaps the next 10 to 15 at this place will be open once again to those who are worthy of heart I love reach the higher level of consciousness .
This is a book that should be recommended to those that have not read her Book before and those that might’ve read the one under another man’s name. This does give it great credibility.
I wouldn’t be surprised she’s there this, at this time now in The Author, enjoying her life, writing new books, and then putting her wisdom .
Take the journey take this book and purchase it, watch it on your iPad to your iPhone or purchase the book the hardcover, of course .
If you believe this was written by Blavatsky in the late 1800s - a long lost secret book - then I have a great waterfront property you might be interested in buying. But we have to do the inspection at low tide ... in order to see it in the best possible light. Now, it doesn't really matter who wrote it but a book that begins with such an obvious 'exaggeration' is not off to a good start. For the record check out the writing style, the content and several glaring anachronisms. Things don't get any better. The writing style hovers between childishly naive and smugly unctuous. The content is all of the standard dribble. Vast pompous ontologies completely unprovable, weak self deceiving epistemologies (where of course proof doesn't matter - you just have to feel it, and any idiot can convince themselves of that) and also platitudinous simplistic moralities. And for the record I abhor the strongly elitist strain where a few have 'real knowledge' and the multitudes don't matter. Any cult that ever existed including the few that successfully morphed into powerful religions adopts that bit of self deceiving self serving deeply immoral nonsense. In hindsight I really don't know why I bothered. Maybe I had misguided hopes that I might find something genuine. But the odds were always slim.
As I got into the book I was at first put off by the author's overly detailed description of the scenery as she hiked up the mountain. Yes there were some interesting observations and analogies, but I was looking for insights into teachings of the mystery schools. I'm currently exploring the concept of consciousness in metaphysical terms, as a form of Eastern mysticism and in relation to modern physics on the notion of "reality" and perception. Later in the book my wish was granted as the author began discussing the concept of Universal Mind. Given the time period in which the book was written, the focus on organized religion takes a very west European bias vis a vis charitable works of church institutions and also came before the time of general awareness of modern physics. However there was a foreshadowing of a time when scientists would become more open to intuitive thought and that people would also become less dependent on "fashion" and material pursuit to the exclusion of spiritual.
A beautiful little gym of a book. I listened to it as an audiobook at 2 × speed, so I finished it in one night. I like that it's a record of an out-of-body experience, considering that I have so many out-of-body experiences myself lately. That made the book really come to life for me, and the masters she met on her trip spoke esoteric wisdom and explained many truths like a true teacher of The Fourth Way might.
I love the way fantasy and reality blend to show you just how the facts about our universe may be stranger than fiction. An astral flight to Shambhala -in a book. This one might leave you questioning your worldview.
I was super excited to read this book as Shamballa has always intrigued me, so finding a book that talks about this place and its inhabitants is a dear find. Unfortunately my excitement did not remain till the end. Some of the teachings conveyed are great and certainly deserve a further contemplation, however, there is a lot of judgement and separation themes. It lacks love and compassion that I’ve felt from beings who remember the truth of the One. So although it’s dressed up as teachings of Adepts, the material lacks the core frequency of those who remember.
This is an interesting story about HP.’s early induction into occultism. Tho it reads like an adventurous fairy tale, since studying the work of Peter Caddy and his wife with the “elementals “ of nature at Findhorn , I believe they do exist but on such a higher vibrational level than we humans, that most of us are incapable of seeing them. An enjoyable and eye opening read regardless of what you believe.
I did not read this all at once. Quite a lot of depth, but all said, there are many books that speak much the same that are written today by profound thinkers and writers. Many, I have, both digital and hard copy. So much truth of what life is and if we trusted our inner being (soul, spirit, etc.) could be radiated in our outer being. Organized religion aside; we would be so much happier and fulfilled. I may likely read more of her writings.
Simply the best book I have read! I am not one for reviews, but this book was breathtaking and enlightening. It helped me open my mind to the world we live in and enforced some of the thoughts I've personally had on existence and consciousness but never been able to explain in such amazing words as the author and the Adepts do.
A fun little read written with a lot of imagination and by an individual with a clear cut understanding of her own ser of morals. Sadly, if you are not that into moralising a viewpoint to the reader, it’s gonna be a little annoying from time to time.
But I liked it for what it was to me: an exercise in imagination of what practical spirituality and the realm beyond could look like.
I just could not put this book down. I stayed up all night reading. What an extraordinary book. Wish we all could meet the Masters of Wisdom, but, alas, we are not in tune with the Holies. Interesting concept.
Too crammed with messages lacking a developing story.
Something about the translation was really off for me, at times it was quite sesquipedalian and others completly unnecessarily verbose. I could not get into the imaginary world nor connect to the protagonist.
The vocabulary was challenging, but I enjoyed the challenge. I found it best to read a chapter, and then take some time to digest it. Very spiritually complex. I found myself questioning my beliefs frequently as I digested the philosophy.
It shows a lot of what we should be interesting obout.
"If this method were taught and practised, real knowledge would soon occupy the place of mere learning, certainty the place of belief, conviction the place of opinion, and true faith the place of creed."
I found the content absolutely fascinating! However, I thought it was a bit difficult to read due to word choices used, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
