Author of twenty-six books in six series, Sophie Davis is a pseudonym for best friends turned co-authors. The pair met in law school and instantly bonded over their love of great books and bad horror movies. I feel like this was a hard slog…. Overcomplicated back story if you ask me and just when I was truly hooked again the book finished. This felt like it was written purely to extend the series rather than progress the plot. The heroine is constantly met by fresh challenges at every corner and the stakes become higher and higher but for me it became too much. There was no hint of hope or light at the end of the tunnel, and for me every story with twists needs at least some hope to then balance the twists out and make them more effective. Not really sure if I’ll continue with this series now….. will see how I feel when book 4 is released

I received Gemini Rising as an ARC for free in exchange for my honest opinion. I love this series, it is captivating, funny, suspenseful with some romance and keeps you guessing as to what will happen next. The creative and witty writing transports you to the fantastical world created by Sophie Davis. I feel vested in the success of the main characters and will continue to follow their journey in hopes for a happy ending. Definitely recommend!

This book was okay. When I began the series, I felt like it was inconsistent and seemed like it was being written chapter by chapter. Then I found out it was kindle Vella, and it made sense. It’s just not my thing. I personally feel like kindle vella books just aren’t that great, because there’s no chance for the author to edit the book as a whole and make it cohesive. There’s a lot of inconsistencies, and the book felt like it was going one way, but then (maybe because of feedback on other chapters?) it went a totally different way. And not in a good, plot twist sort of way, but in a “I don’t really have an end in mind, so let’s just do whatever seems popular” way. I won’t bother purchasing the fourth book, but perhaps when I feel like spending money on KU again I’ll finish it.

I LOVED it!

This latest installment is just what the readers needed! I loved learning more about the OGs, especially Stavros. I also loved that our two Vella storylines are merged now. I can’t wait to read about Winter and Zara’s next adventure. I hope to get more dream reveals and lots more of Ewan, of course!. The ending broke my heart, and I’m dying for vengeance. I also loved the tie in with the Fire Fae series. If you haven’t read that’s series yet, buy it now! It’s SO good!

Thought books one and two were Good? Well wait till you read this third book cause it will blow you away! The storyline grabs you from the get go and is full of betrayal, drama, danger and romance. The twists and turns and surprises will shock you and the steam if even possible gets even steamier as we progress down this darker road! We get some back story, some history and that ending! Well let’s just say I am ready for more please!

i got this book as an ARC for my honest review from Sophie Davis. This book kinda pissed me off (in a good way? kinda? lol) I love Zara. I thought this was the end of a series but it's totally not that ending!!! I love sexy shifter books and this one isn't like porn 🤣 it's got just enough spice where it doesn't overpower the story. I don't know if there's gonna be more from this series or if it's going to continue through a spinoff. but there's still so many unanswered questions!!!!

cliffhanger

Aargh! These cliffhanger endings are killing me! And now I have to wait - I know first world problems. The character interactions, action and deceptions revved up in this installment of the Eternals story. It’s going to be so hard to wait to find out what happens to Zora, Ewan, and Winter. For those of you who haven’t started this series yet, do it. Come join me in my “misery”! ;)

What an incredible, twisty and unpredictable story! I am totally absorbed by this series and can’t get enough of the romance, drama, and high stakes. I love the darker tones the story takes and the character history that is revealed. Things also get steamier in the most delightful way. I can’t wait for the next book! If you’re a fan of The Vampire Diaries set in a fantasy world, this is for you!
