Following the clues of her sister's disappearance to Amarillo, FBI Special Agent Patterson Blake is hopeful she will finally learn the truth about Julie. But there's a problem. The man who might hold those answers has been accused of a heinous crime. One he claims to be innocent of.
When Patterson starts to dig into the case, she stumbles upon a dangerous conspiracy that threatens to not only derail her search for Julie but could also get her killed.
With the clock ticking and her very life in danger, Patterson must unravel a plot bigger than any she has ever encountered, even as forces she cannot control close in around her with one aim... To stop her by any means necessary.

Patterson's quest for her missing sister ends in turmoil. Her contact, Mark Davis is behind bars for rape. Mark asks Patterson to prove his innocence and in return he will help her find her sister. All evidence points to his guilt. Only when Patterson is framed for a murder she did not commit, is she convinced of Mark's innocence. Will she be able to find the culprits and bring them to justice? A death defying task. The fast paced action and the twists and unprecedented turn of events make this book a rivetting page turner.
I cannot rave enough about this series and author. You absolutely won’t want to put the book down. I read them non stop even when at work and it is slow. It’s a fast paced thriller/mystery series and a little bit of romance but not much. It’s more of a mystery and keeps you hopping all through each book. You will love Special Agent Blake!!!!
When Patterson hits Amarillo she has no idea of the difficulties her search for her sister will cause her or the can of worms she is about to open. Fourth in the series and Patterson doesn't seem to be getting any closer to ending her quest for answers. She thinks she has possibly hit the jackpot with tracking down one of the men she believes her sister, Julie, was travelling with ... until it all takes a very bad turn. Patterson is a very intriguing character and I am really enjoying her journey. Should you decide to come along yourself, take a peek at the previous books. You don't have to but it's nice to know what has gone on before. You won't regret it. Strong and Sargent write well rounded tales with plenty of twists and turns and surprises to keep the reader invested in the story. I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest and unbiased opinion of the tale.
As I finish the last page of the book I realized that this one took me less than 24 hours to plow through. Well now I have no choice but to wait for goodness knows how long before the next adventure comes out but that's what we readers do and that's what keeps the authors writing. If you are reading this review Then I assume you have read the previous books in the series. My question is why haven't you started this one yet. Another wonderful story perfectly woven into a solid adventure with characters that you feel like you've known you're entire life. I know very few authors that do what these two can do. So for the time being I I'm going to dig into some stories that have been suggested and recommended by Mr. Strong. And finally I will say thank you to the authors for letting me wander through the worlds that they create.
This is the fourth in the Patterson Blake series. It can be read as a standalone but it does have themes following on from the previous books. Patterson is finally back on the trail of her missing sister. She is in Amarillo to see Mark Davis but he is in prison accused for the most heinous crime! He says he is innocent! To get answers about Julie , Patterson needs to investigate! Patterson just finds herself in great danger more than she ever has before!! The book is brilliant!! Unputdownable! The story flowed nicely and were gripping and interesting! I would highly recommend. I were given a copy to leave this honest review!
Patterson Blake thinks she's caught a break in her sister's disappearance when she locates Mark Davis in Amarillio Texas. When she catches up with him, she finds he is in jail for an open and shut rape case. Mark refuses to answer Patterson's questions unless she looks into his case. And down the rabbit hole she goes...what an insane ride this book was. Will Patterson be able to find out the truth without getting herself killed in the process? Will she get the info she is looking for to continue looking for her sister? Highly recommend you read to find out!

Patterson is framed for murder as she looks into an other rape charge thats fishy.
Patterson is not doing good at find her sister. The only lead is in jail for rape. He says he is innocent and asks her to look into his case. Then he will tell her everything he knows about Julie. By the next morning she is being charged with the murder of someone she has never met. Her friends rally round and help her go through the clues and find who framed her. You can’t believe the man behind it all.
This story is action packed and full of unexpected twists. Patterson is searching for information about her sister, Julie. When the one person who can help her insists that she help him first, her life becomes more dangerous. I like the well fleshed out characters and how strong Patterson is. I would definitely recommend this series to readers who enjoy thrillers with strong female leads. I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Patterson is on her way to Amerillo. She wants to talk to someone who was in the band that her sister was hanging with before she went missing. Hopefully Mark Davis can lead her to where she is. But Mark is in jail and wants Paterson to help him before he helps her. This ends up being a big problem for her as now that she has looked into his case, she is now wanted for murder! Can the truth be found and will Mark help her find Julie? I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
So good and hard to put down! Love this series and Patterson’s quest to find (out) what happened to her sister. The storyline is excellent and the characters are as well. Danger and suspense are here, as well as tender moments between characters. Love that it shows the feelings between characters without explicitly!
Already downloaded and am starting the next in the series!

Patterson Blake is still hunting for information on her sister. Even though she has the backing of the FBI her meeting with the last person who possibly saw her sister puts her on the run as she is accused of murder. Good plot, likeable characters and just enough mystery as to the protagonist to keep me interested and wanting to read more from this author.
This is another enthralling book in this series which can also be read as a stand alone novel. The characters are exiting and likable. The plot is strong and keeps you engrossed throughout. Once you start you will not want to put it down. I received an advance reader copy for free and leave this honest review voluntarily.
A well-written, fast-paced novel with plenty of action throughout. Patterson's search for her sister continues with a clue which leads to unexpected events putting Patterson in a very precarious situation. Will she finally get closure or is it more false hope? I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The pursuit of her sister's disappearance lands Patterson in hot water. Framed for a crime she did not commit she must rely on her former partner for help.
Not bad. Her avoidance of arrest and surveillance was not believable nut it all worked out in the end. Pacing was good and overall it was a satisfactory read.
I enjoyed this book and didn't want to stop reading it until the end. Patterson is on the run for a crime she didn't commit and her hunt for Julie takes an interesting turn. She has help from friends and keeps getting herself into trouble. I like this series and recommend it to mystery readers.
What an awesome story that has plenty of suspense and action. Special Agent Blake is trying to find out about her missing sister. Strong characters as always, well written to keep your interest. Danger for sure is everywhere. Loved it.
Got to say Patterson has more lives then a cat. Somehow she finds her way into some real tight corners. Hope she finds her sister before she uses the rest of her nine lives.
This is the best book in this series so far. I could not put this book down. This is a great thriller. I highly recommend this book. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.
Special Agent Patterson got her self into an awful fix this time. I couldn't put my phone down, I needed to see how she got out of the predicament. I'm off to dig into the next book in this series.
These books are really good. Patterson Blake continues her search for her sister. Its in hill battle with everything she goes through, interesting mystery.
Grabbed me straight away, it’s one of those hard to put down books. Strong characters, twisty plot and intrigue, an unusual situation for Patterson. Well recommended.
It's my favorite of the series so far! I couldn't tell where it was going and I enjoyed how it played out. The beginning was slow and the very end was meh but I liked it!
