Chasing Success follows the first twenty years of the organization Every Child Succeeds under the leadership of their former Executive Director turned author, Judith Van Ginkel. Every Child Succeeds is a regional nonprofit located in Cincinnati, Ohio that focuses on home visitation and support for parents from pregnancy through the first one thousand days of their newborn’s life. The organization was born in the 1990s out of widespread scientific evidence about the impacts of early childhood on development across the lifespan.

This book, authored by Judy Van Ginkel the founder and leader for two decades of the non-profit "Every Child Succeeds" in Cincinnati, Ohio, provides a clear, comprehensive, "in the trenches" candid description of what it took to create this organization, the life changing results it is achieving for mothers and children, pre-natal to age 3 and, in hindsight, the opportunities and goals it has not yet achieved.
What makes Van Ginkel's book especially important in this reviewer's view in that it positions the lessons to be drawn from the history of "Every Child Succeeds" in concrete terms applicable to almost every non-profit and for that matter every organization, profit or non-profit.
