About 8 months ago I bought a cricut and within hours of unpacking it and setting it up I was so frustrated that I put it all back in the box and returned it! I was so disappointed bc I wanted so badly to make cute crafts. My husband bought me the Explorer 3 for Christmas so I could try again but it sat unopened for 2 months bc I was afraid of it! Lol I researched books to help me on my journey this time around and came across cricut for newbies! This book has made it so much more manageable and breaks down EVERYTHING step by step with visuals! Total game changer for me and I spent 3 days going through the book a little at a time each day. Finally I was able to make my first design and vinyl print! If you’re like me and are crafty but clueless when it comes to computer programs then this book is for you! I highly recommend this to anyone struggling with design space! Just ordered the Design Space for Newbies book so I can dig deeper!

This book asks basically every chapter for a review, so here it is. Disclaimer, I had to read this for work, but that does not affect my review.
Let me start by saying I did learn some things.
However, the things I did learn could have been condensed. Honestly the whole book could have been much smaller. The pages left for notes are unnecessary, and could have been removed, you could even have put a line near the beginning suggesting a notebook. Which I honestly think you already had.
The notes I did take fit on 7 lines.
This is not the worst cricut book I have had to read for work, but it still made me more frustrated than confident. If this is the only book you have to learn your new machine, I implore you to study the website.

Making Cricut more exciting and less daunting!
As a new Cricut-er, I love this book and am psyched to have it in my crafting corner!!
I enjoyed the clear breakdown and comparisons of the machines, tools and materials! And in particular enjoy the step by step clear guidance through using Design Space and using the machine!
My favourite parts though were the tips and tricks, trouble shooting and the “test” projects!
Definitely feeling more one and more confident with my Cricut and loving how my projects are turning out!!!

I would never have thought I would enjoy reading an instructional book so thoroughly. The author writes in such a way that it grabs your attention, and is very relatable. She has reignited my creative side and confidence in using my Cricut. I'm not new to using my Cricut, but there are things I never even knew how to do until I read this book. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about getting a Cricut machine, or has one and wants to enhance their experience and knowledge!

Amazing
I just got a cricuk for Mother's day this year and I have been wanting one for about 10 years now. This book has helped me feel more comfortable with my machine and more confident to try projects that I would not have even thought of trying. There are great tips and I would recommend this book for anyone that has a cricut because even old dogs can learn new tricks.

Great source
I’ve been reading other books on cricut and watched some videos but they have hardly helped. This book has taught be so much that i feel confident enough to actually trying it on my own.
I love the projects in the book that teaches you step by step on how to do; mugs, cards and t-shirts. I highly recommend people to read this book before you even get started.

I found this book very useful as I've started using my new Cricut machine. Chowdhury writes in an easy-going style that is also very informative. By walking step-by-step through how to do a project, she gives confidence (and explained why my second project bombed!)
If you're a beginner with Cricut like I am, I highly recommend this book.

Cricut for Newbies is an excellent introduction to the world of Cricut for beginners as well as for more advanced users who just want to make the most of their machines! This book is easy to follow and full of really great tips and tricks.

good but didn’t cover as many details as I wanted
I’m struggling to use the cricut iron on with a household iron and thought there would be more tips, which there weren’t. Was still a good read though, especially useful for design space

Fantastic reference for anyone considering trying out crafting with a Cricut machine. This is one to buy and keep in your personal library. I’m glad I found this before I purchased my machine because now I know what I actually will need, saving me hundreds of dollars. Literally!
