No place sparkles like Paris at Christmas time — complete with roaring fire, a little mistletoe and a touch of murder.
When expat and private detective Claire Baskerville sets out to make this year’s holiday the most memorable one yet, she hadn’t counted on tripping over a dead body virtually on her doorstep. The charming array of Christmas market booths that line the Champs Elysées is the setting for this holiday who-dunnit that will have you reaching for a hot mulled wine in between gasps of shock.
This season, step into the Christmas spirit à Paris and get ready to enjoy the magic—and the shiver!—with this page-turning Christmas mystery. This book is a clean no graphic violence, sex or strong language, includes one adorable animal (dog)
This is a quick little novella in the Claire Baskerville mystery series. It’s right before a Christmas, and when a man is killed in the Christmas market, Claire gets involved and finds out the truth behind it. With many potential culprits, her dogged investigative skills get this one solved.
I've read a number of books by this author, all of which I found interesting and entertaining. This one, for me, was a "meh" -- too short, too predictable. Not awful, but not one of her best.
I love Claire Baskerville. She is a gutsy American 60 something expat living in Paris, and she is good with her taser. This is the 9th book in the American in Paris mystery series, and I have loved all of all nine of them! Now I am eagerly awaiting number 10 scheduled to be released in January.
