Bibhuti Pattnaik is an Odia novelist and columnist. Entered as a college lecturer in the Dept.of Odia Language and literature in the year 1970 and retired as a Reader, in the year 1995.

ଏ ସଂକଳନ ରେ ଥିବା ଗଳ୍ପ ଗୁଡିକ ମନଛୁଆଁ ହେଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସ୍ମରଣୀୟ ନୁହନ୍ତି। Dr Pattnaik ଯେ ଜଣେ ଉଚ୍ଚକୋଟୀର କଥାକାର, ସେଥିରେ କାହାର ସନ୍ଦେହ ନାହିଁ । ଯଦିଓ ଏ ବହିଟି କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସାହିତ୍ୟ ଏକାଡେମୀ ପୁରଷ୍କାର ରେ ସମ୍ମାନିତ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଭାବୁଛି ବୋଧ ହୁଏ ଏ ସଙ୍କଳନରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ କୃତି ନାହିଁ ।
