3/17/24: dnf’d at 12 percent. i might come back to it. i downloaded it because it was a free book on stuff your kindle day, but i don’t like the characters or the writing style. the pov switches are jarring. there’s so many commas and run on sentences. i just can’t get into it.

I loved this so much. I really didn't think I would like this book as much as I did. It had 2 problems, the way it was written, like it was her and they put she or they used two verbs when it was just one. And the other problem was that their love happened way too fast, it almost didn't make sense. But alas, I overlooked those two things because the story was so fantastic. It was amazing really. I loved Adalia, she was herself, a warrior first and a princess second. She gave her marriage a chance and ended up falling in love with Archer. Archer too was a good young man, he really liked her from the beggining and tried to do the right thing, ending their marriage until Adalia realized that she didn't want that at all. What they felt for each other was so pure, their love moved them. When he "died" , Adalia was so broken, I felt sk bad for her, she was like a zombie without him. And when she saw him again, she was afraid she was dreaming. Their reunion a little bittersweet with all that was happening but still good. I really liked this book, arranged marriage between fae with a villain thrown in the mix trying to break them apart, it was really what I needed

Interesting book

I took this book because it was free and because it was labeled for age 18 but this is a fairy tale like story and everyone can read it. The heat level is zero and there are no steamy scenes, no even one. The love emotions are strong but I don't remember that they kiss even once. It seems that the story is around a love triangle but there is more than this. It is a story of two kingdoms The characters are not humans. They are something called guardians. They have wings and can fly but there are no magic or other supernatural abilities. The author is talented and writes well but this is not my kind of story because I love magic and steamy.

Badly needs editing

The plot has potential, but it's hard to get through the story because of the result apparent lack of an editor. I would say the story is written at *maybe a middle school reading level. Transitions are lacking, character development is non-existent, and the characters are all very one dimensional. The beginning could do with a bit more exposition mm

Interesting book, it reads a little weird and switches points of view randomly
