I was given this book by a coworker because it wasn’t her thing. I’ll be honest when I say I only took it because I planned to trade it in at Mckays. Several months later I decided I should read some nonfiction books in between my fiction and this was the only one I had on hand.

I started it as something of a chore (I don’t read nonfiction because I read purely for escapist reasons), however very quickly Greg’s simple writing got to me.

There are no grand words and stories in this book. Simply a man telling how God helped him through his times of trouble and how God can do the same for anyone.

Highly recommend this to everyone no matter what you may be going through!

I found this book to have a genuine tone with an extremely direct yet also extremely kind communication of pragmatic biblical principles. Very interesting stories of faith, trial, heartache, and moving forward no-matter what! I would highly recommend for anyone whether going through hardship, needing encouragement, or preparing your heart for what’s to come, there is good wisdom in this book that applies to all areas of life.

I started reading this book with the ladies in my Bible study, it is so good. If you are going through hard times (which we all do) or been through hard times I feel like this book helps to give perspective of how we should deal with and keep Faith and focus off God! I would recommend this book to everyone because we all have storms we have to navigate!
