When the ruling corporations of Earth’s last free city cover up the incident, Dawn Moriti is hired to discover the fate of a lost researcher.
Her client is her sister, a genetically engineered soldier who threatened to kill her if they ever ran into each other again. The missing researcher? Their kid brother Pascal.
Together, they will have to set aside their differences and navigate the tangled web of a corrupt corporation with a private military.
Dawn soon learns the research station has stumbled upon a secret someone in New Pacific is willing to kill to protect. Between death squads, shady cops, and her lethal sister, finding Pascal may cost her everything.

Gripping, Suspense and action full story! I love this new spin-off series of The Old Chrome series, based on the main characters. This premise is about Dawn Moriti, the mysterious woman who came and went in The Old Chrome series, driving me and Kim the MC crazy! Lol. A strong, resilient, solitary bounty hunter, with her own demons to confront, sees how her past is catching up on her. Mixed feelings, tentative steps, inner conflict, perhaps there is that family love hidden deep within her soul but afraid to manifest it even to herself. “Do the job, get paid…”
This book was scary, dark and twisted and kept me hanging on the edge of my seat, unable to put it down. Sinister operations, devious minded corporations, corrupt officers..it completely blew my mind. Non-stop, gritty, character driven, with great world building, I.O. Adler handles emotions just as deftly as he does the fast-paced plot, and the action filled scenes are nerve wracking. The quasi cyborg style agents with their augments and implants are phenomenal, an outstanding technology that has me so impressed. Adler describes the whole storyline with an artistic realism, very believable. The main characters are so real, it was difficult to control my ambiguous sentiments towards them.
“Breathe steady, walk smoothly, stay calm.” Yeah, like it worked! Not for me, not for Dawn! An exciting, dangerous novel, full of puzzles to decode and bold, perilous actions. The robot sentry dog.. I hated it above everything else!
I’m looking forward to reading more about Dawn Moriti, Eve, Pascal and Linus!
My Compliments to the author on an exceptionally well written book that is both immersive and thought provoking.

This is the beginning of a story that stars Dawn and introduces her crazy family. Basically Dawn is convinced by her sister to find their missing brother. And it was a wild ride full crazy scenes, funny interactions, crazy tech, and lots of action and surprises. It made me laugh and kept me entertained to the end.
My first book from this author and it's really good. I love the main character Dawn Moriti. How she interacts with her family is very believable. The structure of this futuristic world is very interesting. Part of the mystery is resolved in this book. The next book Neon Rogue hopefully resolves the rest. There is a lot of fighting between all the various factions but, not gory or overdone. Turns out Dawn is a minor character from this authors The Old Chrome series. I enjoyed this series also. Like when she appears in this series too. I have now read most of his books. Really enjoy his writing!
This book had great characters and lots of action. There are interesting locations in the world that they visit. There is good dialogue and detailed characters that fill out this world. Lots of action, loved the high tech gadgets, and just enjoyed the book a lot. I definitely recommend this book and look forward to other books in the series.
Set in a futuristic world filled with tech old and new with nonstop action this starts with a bang and doesn't stop for a second. Rescue family and friends no matter the cost and all the while sticking it to the man. A great read with strong characters and a brilliant storyline, not to be missed, Baz
DNF. The writing could use work and an editor. There are character mistakes, like when Dawn’s brother gets renamed Linus and the staff at the agency gets her brothers’s name. In addition, when Dawn meets her sister, they get right into the problems. The blurb says they hate each other, but I got the sense that they were just estranged. I can’t feel the conflict between them. The first four chapters didn’t grab me and say, finish me. I might try one more, but I’m unimpressed.
