Rate this book
The secrets to changing Hannah's past, lie in her future.

The terror of being captured by her enemy throws Hannah into the distant future. But it is a future that holds secrets.

As the closely guarded secrets unravel, so does the mystery of Hannah's life. Now her entire existence hinges on her actions.

With time on her own life running out, Hannah is driven by an obsession to travel back in time to save her husband and family, righting the wrongs from her mistakes. But in order to so do, she must control her time traveling and then somehow save a dead man.

Along the way, Hannah faces life-altering secrets, heart-breaking betrayal, shocking surprises, and a final encounter with a villain intent on destroying her. Can she save herself before time traveling takes its final toll? Though Hannah believes God has a plan for her life, can she trust that the author of time can also use her sin for her ultimate good?

And in the end, can she finally leave time in His hands, even if it doesn't include her happily ever after?

'The Promise' is book 6 in the 'Yesterday' series. While each book tells its distinct part in the story, readers should start with book 1, 'Yesterday,' in order to fully appreciate Hannah's journey.

What a great ending to Hannah's story! I went into this book thinking it was the end to the "Yesterday" series...little did I know, Amanda Tru would have a twist in the story and there's going to be another book!

I loved how The Promise tied up the questions from earlier books and how not everything happened the way you would expect it to. The characters were enjoyable and I really liked the book. It was a great read, even for this reader who doesn't read that many time-travel novels. I plan on reading the next book in this series when it releases.

Book 6

While the last book was full of conflict and ended on a sad note. This book ended on a very high note. Well mostly…but I wont spoil anything.

This writer continues to pen her words beautifully, and causes the reader to feel as if they were there. The series only has a few books left and I honestly don’t want them to end.

I have loved all the books in the Yesterday series and The Promise was no exception. Such a touching story of love and sacrifice. I would highly recommend the entire series.

Compared to the previous five books I struggled getting through this one. I would say this book answered a lot of questions from the series, or tried to. I am still left scratching my head on a few things.

There are a couple plot twists in this one but i felt most of the suspense and built-up anticipation that was included in the previous books were anti-climatic in this one. Lastly, Hannah seemed to be coming to the same epiphany numerous times so that became repetitive. However, since I’m invested so far into this series I’ll finish it and continue with the last two books. (I co-read with a friend and she said they pick back up!) so off I go.

Amazing book

As always, another amazing book that has caused me to lose even more sleep. Lol! Even though I'm not a fan of time travel stories I did enjoy these, though I have to admit it was getting very hard to follow along in this last book.

This is book 6 in the series if you haven’t read the others I suggest you do that first. Amanda Tru has an amazing skill in writing. These books are full of twists and turns in Hannah’s timeline and things that she encounters and changes in her past and her future. I was very interested in how Hannah’s story would come to an end and how Amanda would be able to keep things straight and tell a good story. Amanda never disappoints, she is an excellent Author! I do not want to comment too much on the book in fear of giving away too many spoilers but I love how Hannah’s story comes together and she is able to find out things about herself, her life and God’s plan for her. Things in our life aren’t always something we can control and they don’t always have the outcome we might want but in the end everyone can find the silver lining and their happy ending and that is what happens here. I highly recommend this whole set of books!!

Note: I was gifted this book by Amanda Tru from on contest I entered. All opinions of the book are my own!

The Promise is book 6 in the yesterday series. Even after reading all of Amanda’s books she can still surprise me. I highly recommend reading all the books in this series. The plot twists will mean so much more to you if you read them in order. With book 6 now released you have all of them at your disposal and will not have to wait for them like we have had to. This book has a strong Christian undertone about understanding God’s purpose in your life and trusting him. We have followed Hannah and her time travel journey and her desire to control it. In The Promise she is broken and ready to rely on God. She travels to the future and realizes her whole life is in jeopardy. The author does and amazing job of tying up loose ends and explaining how everything ties together. I highly recommend this series.

If you like suspense, action, romance, and excitement all together in a book, this book and series is one you will likely love. Time travel is fascinating to me and Amanda Tru has done her homework in this series. The Promise concludes the story for Hannah and Seth and their family but there is always a new story to tell based on this one, so I am eagerly anticipating the appearance of a new series. While time travel is still impossible for us, it is fun to imagine what it would be like to time travel like Hannah does. Christian principles are woven through out the book and did cause me to wonder about whether we would be "playing God" if we could time travel and alter events, such as life and death. What do you think? Read the book to see how the characters resolve these ethical issues. I rate this book 5 stars and highly recommend it to readers.

Love love love this book!

I love this series and this was the best one! It answered all the mystery of Hannah's time travel and had some surprising ways Hannah's story came to an end. I am so glad I decided to try the Yesterday series after reading the author's Tru Exceptions" series. I normally would not choose a time travel book but this was well worth the read. It is actually my favorite book series! It was so hard to put down! The author does a great job of holding your interest and having many twists and turns in her stories. She also does a good job of incorporating a message of trusting God and leaving your life in His capable hands. It is not preachy but reminds all of us to put our trust in our Creator . I can't wait for the next book she writes! I completely recommend this author and this series!

This is a fantastic series!

Oh I love this series!
I started it just a few days ago and I was spell bound until I was able to finish the while series!
Amanda Tru had a wonderful way of twisting and turning time!
I REALLY couldn't put it down! 6 books and I loved EVERY SINGLE ONE!
Hannah and Seth's lives are so connected and intertwined you just have to see how the end plays out!
I really LOVED how Amanda brought God and His plans for Hannah's life in this. How she needed to put her trust for her life and future in God!

A really good wrap up of the time travelling Hannah's story. Since there is something just a little bit sad about the ending of a good tale, I was pleased that there were hints of possible spin off story lines dropped in this one.

Really enjoyed my re-read of this series to refresh my memory before I proceed to reading the two new book releases that tack on to this series.

I usually can tell where the concluding book is going and can predict the outcome, but she twisted me around again. I now know I must not be good at seeing this books conclusion. Great book, best one yet.

The promise

It's a good book but I think Amanda should have put everything in five books instead of six. But everyone had a happy ending so I guess that was worth it
