I was provided an ARC of Realms of Peace in exchange for my feedback and honest review. This is my attempt at that.

Realms of Peace is Teanna Lynne’s debut novel and she did not disappoint! It’s the first novel of 5 within the Sovereign Sisters series.

🔥 Sisterhood/Found Family
🔥 Magic
🔥 Spice and steamy bits
🔥 Characters you’ll love to hate and hate to love
🔥 Multiple POV
🔥 World building

The characters come from different realms, all of which have different magic and beings within them; whether that be mermaids, orcs, dragons, sirens, elementals, vampires, succubus, etc. She doesn’t overwhelm you with them, though it seems Iike it would. The author takes her time giving you details about the realms from the POV of the FMC that are from them. Giving the reader the opportunity to see the realms through the eyes of those that know and love their home. She showcases their own magic while giving you breadcrumbs that leave you on bated breath for more.

The author masterfully brings you 1000 years in the passed where a prophecy is foretold to have dire consequences if things are not drastically changed. What happens when you tell a group of powerful faes that? Shit hits the fan… real fast!

In the present she introduces you to Eve, Mar, Cay, Oak, and Rose; some are sisters, cousins, but more importantly the closest kind of friendship that makes you family. You get each of their point of you in the moments they are all experiencing separately whether they be together or not. When they travel to celebrate Rose’s birthday they (and you) have no clue what could possibly happen next and the mending that some of them must do together.

Things get real and the author’s pacing is perfection. Nothing is too fast or too slow, it all felt as though I was a fly on the wall witnessing as everything unfolds. I don’t want to give away spoils as this was a beta read but wow. Oh but let me not forget that there is delicious spice and steam between a couple of the FMCs and their love interests. I mean, hot damn! Both FF and FM - chef’s kiss to Teanna does it beautifully, I needed a cold shower and an iced tea while I urged her to have a drink for me. You ever read something and need a smoke after? Yeah! I cried, I yelled, I screamed, I threw my Kindle, and yes I blew up the DMs of the author while reading the entire book. Aside from a few grammatical errors, which I expect in Beta/ARCs I have no complaints or reservations about Realms of Peace.

THE ENDING!! Oh the ending had me yelling at the author in her DMs since I couldn’t talk anyone about it. I don’t know what to say other than it was a ride and I am ready to get hurt again! The ending is not something I was expecting but it lines up for a hell of a beginning for Realms of Secrets and I cannot wait.

Realms of Peace pulled me out of an incredibly difficult slump. I hadn’t read in a month maybe and I had a pretty heavy mental health load going on but wow. I’m so grateful for my amazing friend for sending me the beta app and basically telling me to apply. Also, I’m incredibly thankful to the author for choosing me as one of her Beta readers. I understand how important having those are and I feel incredibly honored each time I am allowed to read an ARC. Now, give me Realms of Secrets or I’ll give you no peace 🙃

RATING: 4.5/5⭐

Realms of Peace is Teanna Lynne's debut novel and it is the first of 5 in the Sovereign Sisters series.

I was lucky enough to be chosen as a beta reader for Realms of Peace and it is exceptional! This book is a fantasy novel with an elemental magic system. There are fae and other species such as vampires, dragons, succubi, mermaids and so many more. There are 4 different realms within the world and 1 realm that has long been destroyed, or so is believed. Each realm has its own elemental magic and species.

We are introduced to 5 women: Eve, Mar, Rose, Cay and Oakley. Each of these 5 women have their own POV which I absolutely LOVE! I am a big fan of multiple POV books and this definitely did not disappoint, it is done beautifully. These 5 characters have a bond that is deeper than family and the relationships they have with one another are unique and emotional. The characters are also super relatable in their own ways which I love!

This book has a little bit of spice and a lot of sexual tension. There is also excellent banter and humour. I laughed out loud many times. There is also LGBTQ+ rep 🏳️‍🌈 which I was very happy to see.

Realms of Peace made me feel so many emotions and the portrayal of the characters emotions in the book is amazing. I cried and internally screamed a few times. There is happiness, loss, grief, sorrow, guilt, regret and just about everything in-between.

Besides the main characters, the side characters are also so well done!!! I especially like Nat. I can't wait to see what happens between one of the FMCs and a certain set of brothers. I'm already so invested in these characters and their story!!

I can't say enough good things about the world building! It is unique and intriguing. There is just the right amount of information given as to not overwhelm the reader but still in depth enough to get a good understanding of the world. I also really love the elemental magic system and how their magic is linked to their realms.

The pacing of the book is great! There aren't any parts that I thought dragged on too long or that felt rushed. The only thing that I would have liked is more spice, but I know we will get more with book 2!

THE ENDING!! I was not expecting it, and it is a huge cliffhanger. I cannot wait to jump back into this world with book 2 (Realms of Secrets) and discover more about this amazing world and it's characters.

If you are a fan of ACOTAR and Zodiac Academy, you will love this book

This was my first beta read and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Eve and her sister, Mar, are known as the Wild Sisters. They party hard and make split decisions that are not always wise. Being the daughters, one being the heir, to the king and queen of Vulca gives them the luxury to be this way. Even when the king wishes his heir, Eve, would start taking her role more seriously.

Cay, the heir to Rayan, is quiet, reserved, and quite a bit sheltered. Even as heir, she is not privy to the more serious dealings in her kingdom. Though this starts to make Cay question how ready she is to be queen someday, she fully believes her parents know what is best and doesn’t push the matter.

Rose, third in line in the kingdom of Sena, and her cousin, Oak, have always been reminded of their duties to the kingdom. Oak has secretly been acting as a spy for the high lady, Rose’s mother. While Rose has been taking more of a diplomatic role. The secrets Oak keeps leaves her standoffish and feeling guilty for all the lies she tells. Rose notices a change in both her cousin and the others in her family, and begins to believe she may not actually be anything but an expendable place holder in her family.

The five girls are thick as thieves. Growing up together, they feel more like sisters then friends or mere acquaintances. Their love for one another is strong and Goddess help whomever comes between them. When an attack on one of their kingdoms is announced, all of the girls decide to go help without much consideration as to what the severity of the attack could be. Truths start to come to light. Dynamics within the group and those just on the outside of the circle start to shift and blend. New paths must be taken and harder choices must be made.

The story is told from all five POV’s. This is a great way to get a bigger picture of the events taking place. Though, there were some events that left me to wanting just a little bit more. Mostly for my own selfish reason. Also, some of the creatures are new to me and it would have been nice to get even just a short summary of what they were and what powers they possessed.

I was so happy to be selected as a beta reader for this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was such a great start to this series and I can't wait for the story to continue. The story focuses on 5 female characters - from 3 different Realms within this world. The focus on elemental magic was fun, and I love how many different magical "creatures" were in this (I mean, vampires AND mermaids?! Come on!)

The world building slow and steady, which is good for me personally because I get confused easily. I was hesitant about the fact we get 5 different POVs but each character has their own voice and its very easy to follow. The multiple POV is especially great during one portion of the book because the switch between each POV when something intense is happening keeps you engaged and needing to keep reading to find out what's happening.

My favorite part of this book is the relationships between the 5 main female characters. They each have a special bond with every other member of The Gal Group and they each have their own strengths, and their own struggles. I was so pleased to find such a beautiful fantasy world with a story that focused on females supporting each other and making each other stronger platonically, rather than relying on a love interest.

Not to say there is no sexual tension because there certainly is some in here. Not a ton of spice as to be expected in the world building book of a fantasy series, but I feel like it definitely leaves you with the promise of more to come. I cannot wait until this book is published so I can purchase and read it again!

Okay so I just finished this. Let me tell you something, I very much enjoyed this ride! I love that we are presented with so many different creatures such as mermaids, vampires, Fae, freaking succubus! (You know it’s gonna get spicy 🥵🔥) I loved the world building and the development. The spice was at a minimum but seeing as it’s the first book and a lot of world building and “getting to know characters” is involved is completely understandable.

Also. OLIVER AND RIAN. AHHH. I love them. Oliver is just this cocky motherfucker that everyone dislikes but believe me, you’ll love him 🔥😅 Rian is the righteous guard who is sarcastic and grumpy that you’ll love too! They’re edible and sassy and funny, and I’m here for it!

From the girls, Eve and Mar and Cay are my favorite so far! I want to get to know Oak more and definitely need to see more development on Rose. But overall they are all pretty badass and I am excited for their own storylines and to see where the story will go!

As the first book in a fantasy series I already expected the world building that comes with it and I was fine with it. I can tell that this world is complicated but that’s what makes this so fun! I really enjoyed reading this, I loved that we get to see all five POVs from all the girls.

I am very excited for the next one and I can’t wait to read it!

Realms of Peace is a brilliance fantasy book that has Fae, Dragons, succubus, vampires and Magic in this masterpiece. Realms of peace is a story that show love for family even though some aren’t blood. It does have a LGBTQ component it and I love that the author included it in the book.

One of my favorite paragraphs in the book is “What the hell did you do that for.” “I shove him in his chest pushing him back half step. I do it again, shoving him hard enough to knock off his balance. He bares his fangs in warming before moving forward but that only make me angrier.”

The story also has an character to bodyguard romance. The language of the story transport me into the book, I felt like I was walk with the characters, but it’s does start out slow. I really enjoy this book and I can’t wait to read more from this author. This book is the first of the Sovereign Sisters series. I was one of the beta readers for this story.

I was able to beta read this for Teanna Lynn. I am not normally a fantasy reader, but this story had me hooked.

The bond created between and with the characters made you need to know what happened. The suspense of multiple POV made you keep reading so you could feel situations through other characters. For me, fantasy sometimes comes across as “magic focused” and I loose sight of the realness of the characters that makes it hard to relate, however the magic these characters has was used as a necessity in the story that wasn’t overused and made you not relate to the the characters.

All in all, Teanna Lynn wrote a fantastic first book, and we need the second book pronto! I cannot wait to reread this story!

Realms of Peace by Teanna Lynne
“No, you’re not okay. Don’t try and pretend you are. Feel it. But don’t let it consume you.”
~~~
This is my first ever Beta read, so thank you Teanna Lynne for the opportunity.
There is a lot of different diversity in this story with the main characters; along with some great lessons in finding oneself. I think everyone is going to be able to relate to one of the main characters. The plot was amazing and great to follow, great detailing. I’m really excited to see what she does with the feedback from her BETA team and how the story comes out.
I very much enjoyed reading the beta for Realms of Peace! It was an interesting, multi-faceted story with relationships made from love, lies, and duty. The people as well as the politics and plots make this a page-turner.
The ending is a perfect cliff-hanger leaving me itching for the next story! There's characters I love to hate and hate to love (they know who they are), and there's some slight but good slow-burn to a few of them as well.
If it's important to you as well, there's great LGBTQ+ representation in this novel too!
I'm eagerly waiting for the next installment
This is now my favorite book! I'm a sucker for the found family trope and the way it was executed in this story is beautifully written! I could feel the love that the five main characters have for each other and exploring that kind of bond reminds me of my chosen family. I'm also a sucker for rivals to lovers and let me tell you this, Oliver x Cay is SUPERIOR! The bantering, snarky exchanges, and TENSION gives me SO MUCH LIFE, I breathe for all of that. Overall, I'd rate it twenty million stars out of five stars <3
I was given the opportunity to beta read this story over the past month and boy was it an exciting read!
This story follows five different POVs of women from three different realms. Despite their differences in status, magic, and kingdom all of the women treat one another as sisters. Their relationships are so lovely and selfless.
Since this novel is the first of five, the beginning is packed full with world building. Not gonna lie I felt like I was getting Crescent City-ed (confused for the first 100 pages before it all clicks). Once I figured it out, however, the book was so easy to get lost in. The magic system is unique, there’s an abundance of magical creatures, TENSION, and LGBTQIA+ representation!
I will say, the ending was absolutely unacceptable. Unacceptable because HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE TO BE WRITTEN?!
I’m excited to see what Teanna Lynne does with all of the beta reader’s comments and suggestions with the final copy 🥳 This book releases on July 23rd!
