If you could time travel anywhere and have zero consequences, what would you do?
Noelle McAllister inherited her mother’s ability to time travel, but she didn’t inherit the side effects. She can visit anywhere in the past or future as easily as a snap of the fingers, and there’s only one thing keeping her feet in her current time—her mother’s warnings of what could happen.
But she is not her mother.
Just a few trips through time won’t hurt. She can fix a few minor details and no one will know the difference.
But, when a mysterious man from Hannah’s past come to ask for a simple favor, Noelle’s curiosity wins, setting in motion events that complicate her entire life. With medical school and her mother’s expectations shadowing her, maybe she can vacation for a few hours somewhere Hannah will never follow—the past.
This is the highly anticipated 7th book of the 'Yesterday' series. It is not the kind of book that you want to read as a stand alone - rather you want to read the whole series to appreciate the nuances that are contained in this book.
I first read this series when it was written and while it's been a while since then, I truly think it was worth the wait. I also recommend having book 8 'The secret' ready to go as this book ends on a cliff hanger.
All in all, I feel that this was an excellent book, well written and I have (and will continue) to recommend it on to others. I'll also probably read the series again myself as I suspect I will pick up even more things! I got this book in exchange for an honest review.
I read the first six books in this series a while back, but I didn’t have any problem getting right back into the story. This book was just as intriguing and captivating as the other ones. To think that a person could time travel is huge, but then to realize all the ramifications it could have, can be even more mind-boggling. In this story, we meet Nocelle who is the daughter of Hannah and Seth. We find out she has the ability to time travel just like her mom, but Noelle doesn’t seem to understand all the responsibilities that come with it. Her viewpoint is too self-centered and that causes all sorts of issues. In this book, we are taken on quite the journey and find out just what Noelle’s parents have feared. Amanda Tru is really a wonderful author who brings life to her characters and their struggles. She weaves so many emotions into each of her books. It was exquisitely written and flowed smoothly. I felt my heart pounding. I laughed, I smiled, I wanted to scream at the characters, and I cried, throughout the book. There were so many emotions in just one reading! She also weaves wonderful life lessons throughout this story. Lessons regarding family, friends, and the love of God. I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend others to pick it up. Now I’m off to get the last book in the series. I truly can’t wait to see what will happen! I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I love the series, but I don’t like this book because of the main character, Noelle. She is selfish, a liar, and a narcissist. She even acted put out about having to go back and save her father’s life. I could have enjoyed the book if the book hadn’t been written in first person from her point of view. Having to read her egotistical, immature thoughts was too much. I finally stopped reading and skipped to the next book. I hope she is more bearable in the next one. I think this is a great series and a talented author. I wish the book hadn’t had such an unbearable main character. I’m sure she’ll transform into a better person in the next book, but in real life people like her never do and just go on to make everyone’s lives miserable.
Time-Travel Adventure “If you could time travel anywhere and have zero consequences, what would you do?” I’ve asked myself this same question while reading this enchanting story. Ingenious and entertaining! Noelle is a rebellious heroine. Would she find what she is looking for? I received an ARC of this book for review. I was not required to write a favorable review. All opinions in this review are my own.
I didn’t want to put it down, even though I completely abhor her behavior. Her attitude towards time travel is ridiculous. I’m excited to read the next book in the hopes that she realizes what she needs to do.
I love all the characters in her books, they are so genuine and real and make you want to help them. Anyone who enjoys reading fantasy and time travel will love this series.
