Uncharted: A Salvation Society Novel

Rate this book
I do not have time for a blind date. But that’s exactly what I find myself on, thanks to my meddling friend.

The worst part is that it’s with a guy I already met—and was kind of a jerk. A very hot jerk who works for Cole Security Forces, but still . . . I have much more important things to do, like finding the killer who took my partner on the police force.

On this date, Tyler isn’t a jerk. He’s funny, sweet, and makes my heart race when he looks at me from across the table. Neither of us want anything serious, and we agree to no strings attached.

We both should’ve known better. Nothing in our line of work ever goes as planned. When I get a break in my case, I know I have to tread carefully. Already there are feelings between us, ones we didn’t anticipate. He has my heart, and that’s a danger to us both.

When I go undercover to catch the killer, I have no choice but to keep Tyler in the dark and break both our hearts in the process.

Love is uncharted territory, and I hope we don’t get lost trying to find our way back.

A new-to-me author whom I'll keep my eye on!

This is a story about a veteran and a detective that try the whole no-strings-attached thing only to see it go incredibly wrong - or maybe spectacularly right.

Uncharted was a really enjoyable read. The plot was interesting and the pace was enthralling.
Even though it took me a while to feel connected to the characters, they were delightful. Marisa was driven and fierce, Tyler was protective and so dreamy, and we got to see a lot of the old faces we love that Corinne introduced to us.

Mixing suspense and heat, this book was lovely.

Leigh Adams and the Salvation Society are new to me. And I admit that cop drama books are not my favorite but kudos to Ms. Adams for making the drama scenes intense and the romance STEAMY as hell!

Marisa and Tyler agree to a “friends with benefits” deal in which the both end up catching feelings. I mean how could they not. Tyler is a badass former SEAL who has a vulnerable side and Marisa is a tough as they come police detective who doesn’t mind Tyler’s bedroom alpha tendencies.

Enter the police drama plot which had me on the edge of my seat. I think anyone who enjoys a good romantic suspense will love this book.

Went into this book with Leigh being a new to me author.

I didn’t know what to expect as I have not read any previous work by her, but I LOVE all the characters in the Salvation Society, and I have enjoyed works by other authors in the SS.

Loved getting to visit previous characters from other books, but also enjoyed Marissa and Tyler’s story.

A veteran and a detective, both with history of bad relationships and desires needing to be met, they work out a “friends-with-benefits” scenario with no strings attached…what could possibly go wrong?

So Leigh is a new to me author and I wasn't sure what to expect. I love The Salvation Society so I was excited to see what Tyler and Marisa's story was all about. Tyler is a retired Navy SEAL (do they ever really "retire" though?) who works for Jackson Cole at his security firm. Marisa is San Diego PD detective and a very close friend of Catherine Cole. While the pair had met before at a New Years Eve party it is probably something they both want to forget. Their second meeting was Tyler's chance to redeem himself.

What starts out as a schedule of no strings attached hook-ups quickly turns to more for both, although Marisa is much slower to admit it. I loved that they each were flawed in their own way, but they each "saw" each other. The plot and storyline were great and I have to admit, I wasn't sure where it was gonna end up sometimes. Being back with the OG Salvation Society crew always makes me happy so I was happy that we got to see a good amount of then through the story.

Leigh did a very good job of weaving Tyler and Marisa's story into the Salvation Society world, that it felt very authentic and like they belonged there all along. I thoroughly enjoyed this read.

This was a great extension of the Salvation Society by Corinne Michaels! I had a great time revisiting some beloved characters, and meeting new ones! I loved Tyler from the moment I met him; war hero with a tragic past, but also Uber swoony! Marisa is a strong willed woman; a detective and looking for casual relationships that don’t require a lot of her time and attention.
Tyler and Marisa are set up by a friend and their chemistry is instant.
The intense police action had me on the edge of my seat.
I enjoyed the authors writing, she was new to me and I’d definitely read her again.

This book is fantastic. It is part of the Salvation Society so we get to see some of Corrine Michaels beloved characters in this story. Tyler works at the security agency the Jackson Cole from the Salvation Series created. Marisa is friends with Catherine and Jackson. Marisa is smart and a terrific cop. Catherine sets her up with Tyler. Both Tyler and Marisa where just looking to have a little fun but got way more than they bargained for in one another. Their story is full of fun and flirty moments but also plenty of action thrown in as well. Their flaws make them even easier to like. You will not want to put their story down once you start reading it.

This was the first book I have read by Leigh Adams and it was great! We are introduced to Marisa who is a strong female police officer and Tyler who is was a SEAL that now works for Cole Securities with Jackson Cole. Absolutely love the connection with other Salvation Society books. These two are pushed together through friends and truly become something great. Love the storyline and it keeps you on your toes. I will definitely read another book by Leigh. Highly recommend this book!!

New to me author, but not new to me Society. It's always great to get glimpses of the old gang with some "new blood" mixed in. Marissa and Tyler had chemistry from the beginning, so there are plenty of steamy scenes. But there is also suspense and crime action. Great read!

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this story aside from it being connected to the Salvation Series. Leigh is new to me.

The story was enjoyable and kept you on your toes... I liked the characters and the flow of the story.

There were moments when I wasn't sure which way the story was going to go and I liked that a lot. Not being able to predict what was going to happen is a favorite of mine.

The main two characters have a lot of ups and downs and I enjoyed reading their story.

Uncharted is a part of The Salvation Society world. It can be read as a standalone. I was looking forward to go back to this world. Leigh Adams is a new author to me. I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved her writing style and characters she created. I immensely enjoyed every single page of it, and never wanted it to end. It was well developed, well written, eloquent and thought out.

Tyler and Marisa didn’t start on good terms but by some miracle Tyler gets a chance to redeem himself when they meet for the second time. From the moment they met there is an undeniable attraction and sparks fly whenever they are near each other or together. Soon they start no strings attached relationship that in a blink of an eye turns into more. Their love story is beautiful, emotional, healing with struggles, obstacles, ups and downs and ALL.THE.FEELS., SWOON and the edge of a seat romantic suspense. Tyler and Marisa had an instant, great connection and chemistry. Their build up was amazing and really timed out very well. They both have insecurities and demons they need to confront. Neither of them has everything figured out but I love the way he wanted to be a better person for her and tried to be vulnerable which it wasn’t easy for him. Marisa is a wonderful person and a superb cop/detective. I think they take each other by surprise because neither of them expected that meeting each other could change their lives. They are effortless and familiar and yet complicated and perplexing. They both took a leap of faith and were courageous enough to start a relationship.

This is my first book by this author but certainly won’t be the last. An absolutely amazing book with everything you could possibly want if you love a bit of mystery, danger, romantic suspense, character driven storyline, military romance and second chances. I highly recommend it.

Leigh Adams is a new author for me, Salvation Society though is not new for me – I have read quite a few stories that belong to Salvation Society family. I love dipping my toe into the Society now and then as it is a great way of discovering new writers, like Leigh Adams!
Uncharted is the story of a retired Navy SEAL Tyler who works at a security firm, and Marisa who is San Diego PD detective. How do they cross paths? Well, Tyler’s boss’ wife is Marisa’s close friend so off they go to a blind date which is actually not a blind one as they had met before and … let’s say, it did not go too well that first time, no great impressions … this not blind blind date though, well … it brings along no-string-attached hook ups that turn into something else in the midst of Marisa going undercover to catch a killer …
It took me a bit to get used to Leigh’s writing style but once I was pulled in, I was in and enjoyed the ride that Marisa took Tyler and me! It was a good romantic suspense story, perfect for a summer read!

Marissa is so cool she's a cop who takes down the bad guys and she's good at it. She is so strong and loving and just wants to make sure she does her job right. When her friend nags her to death to meet a guy she gives in. But when that guy is someone she has already met and thinks is a jerk will she give him another chance? Tyler has been through so much that he's just trying to do his job and be there for his friends. When he meets Marissa again something changes in him and he's bound and determined to show her that he is different. There is no doubt that these two have chemistry you can feel it from the get-go. For Marissa, though things hit too close to home and her main goal is to find the killer before he takes someone else she considers family. Can Tyler help her and save her at the same time?

This is a wonderful edition to The Salvation Society World.
Leigh Adams is a new autor to me and she has written an amazing story.
I haven't read many cop romances I'm not even sure why I haven't they aren't my first choice of romances, but I found reading this very enjoyable and entertaining.
A former Seal and a detective, Marisa and Tyler agree to a no string relationship but uncomplicated sex, turns into very complicated,as feelings get involved.
These two characters are a force to be reckoned with, both are strong and powerful and their attraction and chemistry is undeniable.
Their story is super steamy, intense, passionate and suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat.
I LOVED it and Highly recommend it.
I think fans of this world will really enjoy it.
Amazing.

Marisa and Tyler met once before but the timing was all wrong. She isn't sure she wants a date with the broody, jerk she met 2 years ago. Both are married to their jobs so a no strings "relationship" might be what they both need. When sparks fly will secrets destroy their chance at happiness?

Marisa is tough and can take care of herself. She likes to be in charge. Tyler is retired military and a protector by nature. They both battle with the demons from their past and it holds them back from truly trusting someone new. I love that Tyler is supportive of Marisa's career. This one pulls all the Cole Security guys into the mix. It's has just the right mix of romance and suspense. This is a new to me author and I am excited to read more of her work.

I received an ARC copy of Uncharted and as a fan of Corrine’s salvation series this book did not disappoint in reacquainting us with our beloved hero’s. This book takes place in California and follows the story of Tyler and Marissa. Tyler is a former SEAL having suffered an injury that removes him from active duty. Marissa is a detective and is working to solve a series of murders. Tyler and Marissa are introduced by Jackson and Catherine and decide to try a no strings attached relationship.

I loved the connection between Tyler and Marissa and watching them fight to get their HEA. Both characters had strong personalities that often got in the way.

The storyline was well written, however I would have liked to see more details of the undercover work and build that story up a little more.

Overall I would recommend this book and look forward to reading more by Leigh Adams.

The is the First book that I read from Leigh Adams. she is writing in the Corrine michael's Salvation Society. She definitely did it Justice. Several of the main characters that was in the original stories pop up in this story many times and she kept them ture to form. I always think that's difficult but she nailed it. this book was enteraining and had a good story with the 2 main characters and had couple of sideline stories going on that didn't neccessarily wrap up in a neat tight bow but made the story even more in the end. It had emotion, it had laughs what more could you want. Ohh of course a bit of sexy time. I enjoyed this story and would read more from this author.

This book fits right in with the Salvation Series! Tyler, a former Navy seal who now works for Cole Security and is best buds with the OG Salvation Series Men, is the perfect addition to this group! Marissa is a homicide detective who has devoted her life to work and brining down the man who took her partners life. These two met at the request of Catherine and decide to just be friends with benefits. Neither one looking for a relationship. The love story between these two is filled with all the emotions. They have to go through hell and near death to finally realize their true feelings! I absolutely loved this story and think it's a wonderful addition to the Salvation Series!

Uncharted by Leigh Adams is part of This Salvation Society series and was a new author for me. I have only read a few books in the series, but I have enjoyed the ones I have read. The book grabbed my attention in the beginning and was certainly a page-turner. Tyler and Marisa were a perfect couple and understood each other’s job requirements. The plot and characters were layered, and the suspense kept me turning the pages. I loved watching their slow burn friends with benefits relationship grow into love. It was a fantastic book and I look forward to reading more books in the series.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Uncharted by Leigh Adams

Another great addition to the Salvation Society that we all love. I love that we a glimpse at Catherine and Jackson which are one of my favorite couples. I loved what an awesome alpha female cop Marisa was and the fact that she knew who she was and what she wanted and didn’t want a man to change that but to accept her for who she was. Loved her. They are set up by Catherine and we’ll they get more then just a date out of it. We get a lot of witty fun flirty moments yet we get plenty of action filled moments too. It was a great book and I loved that I found a new author to explore her books. Highly recommend.

Overall I enjoyed this installment from the Salvation Society. Marisa is a very busy detective who doesn’t have the time for a relationship. Tyler is busy himself working for Core Security so he doesn’t want a relationship either. When these two are sort of thrown together, they decide on a mutually beneficial arrangement. They would hook up once a week on Wednesday’s and keep the rest of their lives separate.

But once they start to get to really know one another, lines start to blur and they end up getting more than they realized they wanted.

It took me a while to truly feel a connection between these two but once that happened, I really enjoyed the story. I guess I wished we had seen them go out and get to know each other more before they started sleeping together. It felt a bit rushed but they are adults after all. I really loved and got into the last half of the book. It really picks up when a specific case Marisa is working on takes center stage.

And as always it’s always fun to see the original characters come back for a visit in these stories. We get a lot of all of them and I really enjoyed that part.

Wow - what an emotional, suspenseful and wonderful adventure Leigh takes us on in Unchartered.

Marisa is a badass detective for the SD Police Dept. She loves her job but is holding onto some baggage from a past case…her next assignment could prove to be challenging.

Tyler is a hot, confident former Navy Seal who works at the Jackson Cole Security firm. He is a protector of his people and will do everything to keep them safe.

What starts out as a friends with benefits turns into more…however these two stubborn fools take some time before they realize it! And their stubbornness could cause them to lose it all.

I haven’t read all the Salvation Society books but enjoyed learning about the other characters in this book.

Leigh does an amazing job of giving us a heartfelt, hot and wonderful story about two people who finally give into trusting one another, letting go of the past and moving towards a future together.

I received a complimentary copy and I am leaving my honest review.

Let me start by saying this is the first book I've ever read by Leigh Adams, and I am so glad I did! I'm so impressed by her writing style and storytelling, and the story itself was so captivating, I honestly couldn't put it down until I literally could not keep my eyes open!

The minute I realized this was a Salvation Society novel, I just knew I had to read it. All of the books in this series are so beautifully written, and this one was no different.

Tyler, who works for Cole Security, and Marisa, a homicide detective, were so perfect together. It was as if they each had been looking for the other, without even knowing it. I really enjoyed everything about this story, and I definitely recommend it!

Tyler and Marisa are set up by her friend. She was not in the mood for this date and when she saw who the date was even less. But the man she spends the evening with is the total opposite to the jerk she met earlier. So they decide on a friends with benefit relationship as both of them have hectic lives. But this did not go as planned...

I really enjoyed this story. This author was new to me and I wasnt disappointed. Both of these characters were so stubborn, as both of them are alphas, but the chemistry between them was undeniable. I loved the suspense (a killer on the loose) the back and forth banter and of course the romance of it all😊

Good Story

This story was enjoyable. It’s a bit slow. Too me quite awhile to get through.

Also with it being a Salvation Society book and using characters that have established stories but seemingly using their stories out of order was confusing.

I did like having the entire main crew mentioned and having them get together to do something they do best.

The writing was a little choppy but this is this authors third book overall so it’s not shocking.

Leigh Adams is a new to me author and I’m so happy I got a chance to read Tyler and Marissa’s story. Their friends decide that they would be good together, both had met before but Ryler didn’t make a great impression. Both with baggage neither wants more than a weekly hook up until they realize that maybe they want more. I loved the banter between them, the steamy scenes, the ease they had with each other and they accepted each other for who they were inside and out. Really enjoyed this book and will be reading more from the author.

Uncharted: A Salvation Society Novel by Leigh Adams was the first book I have read from this author and I look forward to reading more. Tyler and Marisa’s story is a romantic suspense that has lots of chemistry, mystery and action. I loved that Tyler was an ex Navy Seal who now works for Cole Securities which made it great getting to be back with Jackson and Catherine, some of my favorite people. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

Tyler is a Veteran and Marissa a detective. The first part moved a little slow but the last half of the book really had me turning the pages and intrigued. Overall a great read and I will definitely check into other books by this author

This book was another enjoyable read in the Salvation Society. Leigh Adams did a good job of portraying these characters in this world.

Uncharted is a second chance, friends set up romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I love how fierce and strong Marisa is. Tyler is such a caring, determined character. These two are definitely something together. They make it seem easy and so natural.

I definitely enjoyed reading this and I encourage others to give it a try.

Uncharted had me at military; add in suspense, and romance (some hot romance) made this a book I enjoyed reading.

Tyler and Marisa each had their reasons for making their arrangement a friends-with-benefits; however, we all know how those arrangements end.....love! I felt Ms. Adams did a great job presenting Tyler and his injury to the story.

Uncharted makes a great addition to Corinne Michaels' Salvation Society!
