Addison Hunter #2

Hunter by Nature

Rate this book
You met her in Hunter By Name, but would you trust a sociopath to capture a killer?

Addison Hunter finds the real cause of death of her uncle and is determined to hunt the culprits and bring them to justice.

But things are not as they seem. Clues left for her in secret notes seem to be nothing more than gibberish, a puzzle she has trouble solving. The deeper she gets into what's happening in Solitude, the more confused she gets.

The only way to make headway is to use the skills she learned in the FBI. The same company that no longer wants anything to do with her, even when she can prove The Ghost is baiting her and is involved in the case.

The more she ignores him, the more the body count rises.

Family kidnappings, underhand dealings, hitmen and land-grabs are only some of the things she has to deal with in her hunt for justice.

Nothing will get in the way of the truth and that isn't what everyone wants.

WOW what another fabulous story in this series, truly you will not want to put this one down until you get to the end, book two follows on where book one finished and Addy and Silas, Solitude’s sheriff are now even more determined to get the answers regarding Addy’s uncle Tony’s death, but brick walls are being thrown up everywhere they turn, but Addy never gives up hunting till she gets her answers.

Addy is a FBI agent on forced leave at the moment after being nearly killed by a serial killer the ghost who is still out and about, back home in the small Texas town she grew up in Solitude, after the fire at her family home Addy and Silas are searching through the notebooks that Tony had left behind they are uncovering clues that go deep into the supposedly honest citizens of Solitude but are really making things more confusing for them.

Her FBI shills and acquaintances are really helping as is Addy’s nature to emotions and feelings, but when The Ghost makes his presence felt in her town the danger ramps up add to that the secrets they are uncovering and kidnapping and murders to keep long held secrets this is getting very dangerous for Addy and Silas.

A fabulously written mystery thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat and Addy works to uncover secrets from the past and keep people she really cares about safe, danger seems to be coming from two different sources at the moment but Addy’s strength and courage and total sheer determination hopefully will solve the case. I can’t wait for book three to see how things pan out in the tiny town of Solitude and see what happens when Addy gets her man or men.

I do highly recommend this one but you really must read book one first to get the full impact of the story, and get to know Addy.

This is the second of three in a series. The plot is interesting and not what you would figure out easily. The main distractions in both books are the continual reiteration of Addison’s mental issues (like we would forget Tharp when it is the theme of the book), and all the spelling/ word choice mistakes. I might get the third book because I want to know who the Ghost is, but the second book was irritating enough to discourage me from spending the five dollars to find out. Where is the editor or proof reader for this author?

very good series

Love the characters and Addison’s affliction. It makes the story to see from her point of view which is generally emotionless. Don’t like that nothing is wrapped up in the book. This is really one long book rather than 3 episodes in a series. Hopefully the story line is completed in the next book.

This is the second book in the Addison Hunter series. I was on the edge of my seat reading this from the very first page until the last. Lots of twists and turns too. I’m still trying to work out who The Ghost is.

Ok book 2. Didn’t think I would read more but I did. Should have stopped at the first one. This whole series is written to make you read the next one. And I fell for it. If I can stop anyone from falling into the trap then I will feel good. Don’t. Just don’t.
