Read on Radish under the name Her Mafia Bodyguard. Awesome story of Blair’s friend Mia and her bodyguard Zeke. Love the crossover of Blackthorne and North Woods.
Audible. Didn't like the narrators in this story. Female sounded whiny (maybe that's cuz of the character) and the dude sounded DOA (no fucking personality, reading from a script. AGAIN, it could just be cuz that's how the character is).
I grabbed this cuz of a review on audible that gave it a 1 star cuz "too much sex." I got fucking swindled. This is total bullshit, no development, and no chemistry. The story lagged and was as interesting as getting a colonoscopy on the first date. The male character was, perhaps, the most boring mafia dude known to readers who read about fake mafia dudes. His ass was a goddamn participation trophy, as useless as a knitted condom and enticing as anal with no lube. The female was like a lot of the fmc's, a hole to fuck.
Oh, I DNF midway chapter 20, cuz come the fuck on!
This heroine seemed to be an anti-romance book heroine for most of the book. She kept her spunk, she didn’t stink strange drinks given to her even though she’d never been to a party it was great. She was actually intelligent, which was a nice surprise. The fem MC was smart… until she really really wasn’t. Then she fell into the stereotypical romance heroine trap and had to be saved. Didn’t like that so much. The bad guy also turned into a stereotypical evil, insane person, which was really boring and pretty disappointing. The ending was not where I expected it to go and doesn’t truly make sense when you consider the fem MC’s personality or remember how she reacted the first time she found out what her dad’s business really was. Why the sudden acceptance? There’s also hasn’t been any mention of a public interest in the family. No cameras, no reporters. I know the fem MC said no one has connected her to her father before the end, but come on. A reporters or camera man hanging out outside the house taking pictures wouldn’t have noticed her getting into cars, or that the same guy who hung around her father also hung around her?
It kinda felt like most of the rest of the book was written by one author and the other wrote the ending. The shift was that obvious. Book was mostly good though, I liked it.
The virginity thing was weird. Zeke had no personality. The story had potential but fell short. Mia is apparently book smart but naive and a little ’life’ dumb. The ending was unbelievable given that she was a pushover throughout the book. All of a sudden she wants to be the face of the family and change the image? She just found out about the family two seconds ago!
The synopsis fails to tell you that the female main character is a 19-year-old girl in her first year of college. I don't want to read about teenage angst and immaturity, which is a lot of what she does. The storyline was okay at best, but it wasn't written well. I give this two stars because it at least kept me entertained.
Zeke and Mia embark on a forbidden, dangerous but beautiful journey together. Their chemistry is undeniable but the deep connection they built between them is perfect. I enjoyed going on this suspenseful, sinfully sensual and dark ride. Good story!
Woo! Right out the gate the book starts off spicy and just goes on from there! This book is defiantly a bad boy only good for one girl type of romance. 10/10 would recommend if you like spicy books mixed with bad boy vibes.
Medium length story Spicy 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Romance ❤️❤️❤️ Characters are easy to follow, simplistic. Easy read and nice levels of spice and smut. Romance is sweet but simple. Worth a read for the smut/spice alone. Easy and keeps you reading.
Meh. It wasn’t for me. I forced myself to continue listening to it but by the time I got to chapter 21 out of 37 and I just couldn’t do it anymore. I DNF.
The bodyguard was 25 and she is 18. The book basically followed the thoughts of an 18 year old virgin and 25 year old bodyguard living together. Just not my cup of tea.
The FMC and MMC thought processes were rinse and repeat for 90% of the book. Some sharp turns in the story line didn’t make sense. I will say that the plot wasn’t fully predictable which was nice.
This book was okay, the writing had some mishaps and the MMC could do better with his bedroom talk, but the story was great! I enjoyed the age gap and possessive nature of the character as well as the strong FMC persona.
Yes Mia is immature, but she is also a teenager whose mom died and left her completely on her own. The father she didn’t know comes out of nowhere and swoops her up so yeah she doesn’t ask many questions. She knows she has food, water, shelter and protection without freedom. Like most people with shit fathers she knows he’s fundamentally shit, but she doesn’t know the extent. He only found her so he could use her as a bargaining chip in the mafia game of sell my daughter for personal gain. A virginal college student with no options to go out and meet people she falls for her personal body guard. Who treats her like utter shit.
The first time they show her trying to seduce him like most teenagers would a guy they think is hot (regardless of age gap) seemed normal. I think she was either 16 or 17. It was up to him to be the grownup and turn her down. Which he did do, but he over fucking did it. He berates her to the point of ruining my reasons to move any further in this story. Just because you are sexually frustrated and ambitious to move up didn’t mean you had to do any more then tell her to stop and go to bed. Why try to hurt her? She’s a fucking teenager. It’s a no for me.
4⭐️ 3.5🌶️ Overall this book had many things I love. Smut, a sassy female role, a forbidden love between the mafias daughter and her bodyguard. However I don’t love the fact that the daughter who came into this lifestyle that was a complete 180 from the first 18 years of her life was able to just overlook the fact that her father’s business is part of sex trafficking…. So close to a 5 star read….
