Rate this book
I stumbled into the wrong house.

When my car died as I ran from a dangerous man, I never expected to find myself in an even worse situation. What was meant to be a simple call for help ended up being the worst night of my life.

Three men made a terrible mistake when they thought I was someone else. Now I have to pay for their crimes. No matter which way I turn, there's no escaping these hitmen. They know what they're doing and they're not willing to let me go.

The leader of the deadly trio, he's a monster of a man with a gruff attitude and a rough manner.

His deceptive exterior hides a dark, evil interior and he loves to hurt me.

If psycho had a face, it would be Lux's. He's not willing to admit his mistake and wants me . . . forever.

I'm trapped with these men and I don't know if I'm going to make it out alive. Or with my heart intact.

Trigger This book contains dark themes, including SA, violence, knife play, and more. Read at your own risk.

This book needs a bold heading with Trigger Warning flashing in neon lights.
I'm all about dirty things and kinky bedroom styles but even I have a limit.
I can't say that what happened necessarily turned me off from reading because I finished the book, but it did tamper how I felt reading about what was happening.
It put a bitter taste in my mouth, and I wasn't 100% on board with the story playing out happily.
With that being said, here is what I thought.

Eva is on the run from a life she doesn't want.
One that she hadn't planned for herself.
Though it seems the universe has it out for her and causes her car to break down during a heavy rainstorm in the middle of nowhere.
With no phone, she makes the decision to venture to the nearest home to ask for a phone to get her car towed.
That's where her life takes an even drastic unexpected turn and her world is once again flipped upside down.

Meeting the men of the house.
Gaine. Jude. Lux.
All psychos.
Each killers.
And all obsessed with the half-drowned girl who stumbled upon their doorstep.
They had called for entertainment for the night and thought they'd been sent the perfect girl.
Turns out she was there by mistake, and they took things too far.
Because of what they do, they can't let her leave just yet.
Not until they are sure she won't report them.
Thus, spiraling into a whirlwind romance.

This is a standalone novel.
So luckily, we won't have to figure out what comes next.
But this book will definitely have you biting your nails and questioning your morals.
If you can get past the first few chapters that is.
My biggest warning is that if you are not a fan of nonconsensual activities, don't bother picking up this book.
You will also have to deal with violence, knife play, and death.
Read at your own risk.

While the story was interesting in how it played out, I'm on the fence of how I actually liked it.
I think the first few scenes placed a wool over my eyes and I couldn't look passed it.
Therefore, I can't give justifiable reasons for reading it.
A lot of scenarios happen multiple times, like bombs in homes, just involving different people. This has a purpose, but I don't feel like they were executed properly considering who they were supposed to be dealing with.

Overall, I feel eh about the story.
I wouldn't read it again.
Probably wouldn't recommend it either.
Only reason I would discuss would be because of just how crazy it was.

This was pleasantly good. I honestly didn't think it was going to be good.
I liked the storyline, the characters (all MC), and the writing style.
It's 4 stars because I did expect the MFC to have a bit more intense ptsd when it came to their first "encounter". But then I guess her first trauma outshines the second since she's literally running for her life, and she sort of just gives up. Or better yet, gives in.

I would classify this as dark romance with smutty scenes. But because of the authors writing tone, most would say this is smut with dark scenes. And I honestly don't think the author's full intention was to have this as a smut book. Well, I hope not because if they did, they hit the mark. And if it was intentional, then I'm disappointed because it would be a really good dark romance.
I honestly really enjoyed reading this. I would re-read it again.

Eva is on the run when her car breaks down in the middle of a storm, she goes to a nearby house for help, but finds 3 hit men who mistake her for a “club girl” they had called for, and had requested the “club girl” like pain and fight back. They assume she is that girl and ignore her pleas to stop. I do like that this initial part was mainly through their POV, so the reader knows their thoughts about what is happening. The guys realize their mistake the next morning. I have mixed feelings about this debut. While I semi-understood the mix-up, one of the guys is more psychotic than the others and had little remorse, and I struggled with liking him. The story was written well and kept me engaged.

great story

A case of mistaken identity leads to the kidnap of Eva by 3 hitmen. Whilst she’s initially hurt by them they soon become her protectors and the redemption arc worked really well in this.

Whilst there was some OW drama that I wasn’t particularly keen on the rest of the book was brilliant. The spicy scenes were done well. The characters were great, although the motorcycle club aspect wasn’t really explained and was just implied. Lux although seemingly the craziest of the male characters actually became a favourite.

A couple of editing errors but they were easy to overlook.

good dark romance minus…

It was a really good dark romance with your unforgivably infuriating but low key loving it men. The ONLY issue I had that kept pulling me away and debating if I should stop reading (not really a spoiler but just in case) the men basically kept sleeping with other women up until like 50% of the book.
