* The author of this book is one of my dearest of friends and therefore this review is not objective.
Stuck in a job she hoped to have been more exiting, caring for her thirteen year old sister in conditions that aren't exactly legal and with a mother locked up in jail, Sabine has more on her plate then most people. But when she gets the opportunity to interview the lead singer of the popular rockband The Unexpected, Wolf Moerland, she wants to take this chance to improve her job conditions and make a name for herself. But Wolf is notoriously reclusive and even after being stuck in an elevator together, Sabine is not sure he will ever open up to her.
This was a fun, light read full of Emma Zeger's signature sassy and clever writing. Just like the leading ladies in her previous books this leading lady does not disappoint. Even though there is a lot of hardship in her life, Sabine never gives up and makes the most of what life throws at her, whatever it is. The romance was fine, the sexy bits started a bit early for my liking, but in context of the entire story it is working really well. This genre, the rockstar romance, isn't my usual cup of tea, but this was fun and a nice, light read you can finish in a couple of hours.
