Just west of Atlanta is a quiet upper class community of black women who believe they are the superior sex and are taught that having multiple husbands in a household is the way to build their race and community. Following a brief appearance in The Perfect Sister novel by Desiree, we take a brief look inside Stacie Newman and her three husbands, Alpha, Omega and Deuce. How each came into her life.
This Kindle Vella season 1 is now ready to binge. Enjoy these throw away chapters and stories of this hidden cult of black women and the men that submit to them.
What on EARTH was this masterpiece I just read!!! My book buddies have yet to steer me wrong in the recommendation department and I will forever follow them over a cliff when they give me a book suggestion. I slightly knew what to expect from my BB’s review but nothing could have prepared me for this actual story. If you don’t bump this to the top of your TBR list you are seriously missing out! This was sooooo dxmn good! I meannnnnnn wow!!!
Desiree!!!!! Is this how you coming with your storylines?! Seriously?! Whew!!!! I don’t want to give too much away but just imagine a world where black women are worshiped for the Gods that we are! Well there a community in the affluent part of ATL and these black women live a lifestyle that I definitely am not mad at. Men pretty much worship the ground their women and walk on. They can’t speak unless given permission and must be submissive to all women.
Stacie was considered the ugly duckling that no husband wanted to choose. Despite this her confidence and self worth remained intact. The journey to how she changed the game with her 3 husbands by her side had bxtches looking on with awe and envy!
Baby!!!! This story was sooooo good! It was originally a Kindle Vella that was later combined into a book and this was a story that I never knew I needed. I am COMPLETELY invested and cannot wait to see how their world further unfolds!
There were grammatical errors but not enough to take away from the story! Go read NOW!!!!!
I had to come leave a review because I read this as a Kindle Vella series and initially I just wanted a quick read......but baaaaby when I tell you I was wrapped up in this story I was wrapped up. This story takes place in a community where Black women are looked upon like God. To me though they were looked at as head of the household, the providers but almost like royalty. Like men couldn't look at or speak to them without permission. The main family consists of one wife Stacie and her 3 husbands Alpha, Omega, and Deuce whom she renames upon marrying them😯 and they take her last name. This season introduces you to each husband and how she chose each one of them and the role they play in the household. This story is unlike anything I have ever read. I mean I was ultimately here for the way each of them catered to her needs. She had a special relationship with each man. With Alpha they were like typical husband and wife in that they both worked and took care of the household financially. He was her companion. Omega was whom she could be soft with. Emotionally she felt safe with him. He cooked and cleaned and took care of home. Deuce was wild, but he loved her fiercely and was her protector. He allowed her to be unguarded especially in the bedroom. There was some misspelling, but definitely an interesting and different story line. I also enjoyed season 2 which has not yet been published as a book but you can find in the Kindle Vella series.
Desiree! Your mind! If I was in a reading slump this is the type of creative storyline that would bring me right out of it. I was not prepared for this little community in Atlanta but I am not mad at it! In this community, men WORSHIP Black Women. I mean…no looking at her unless she gives you PERMISSION. The men have to be totally submissive to the Women and I loved it 😂 The Women are also allowed to take on multiple husbands 🤭 This follows Stacie Newman and her THREE husbands - Alpha, Omega, & Deuce. They were her Holy Trinity - heart, mind, & soul. Honestly, my jaw was on the floor sometimes because can you imagine being a husband who has to stand by while your wife is intimate with not one but TWO other husbands?? Yes, there were disagreements, fights, drama but these 3 men formed a Brotherhood. I loved the commercial breaks within the story and the interview segments.
Who is my fav husband? I’m going with Alpha. He was rebellious from the beginning and even though he ended up submitting to Stacie- he still let her know he was a man. He didn’t always just fall in line.
There were errors but it didn’t take away from the story for me. I was still very much entertained and curious about this community 🙃
I’m ready to move to Atlanta now and become apart of Black Women Separatists, only if I can have a trinity like Alpha, Omega, and Deuce. This first book started off too good. On to the next 🤎
Ms. Stacie Newman? I am not mad at your game, at all! I was so curious to find out how my girl ended up with three husbands. This story took me for a ride that I did not want to get off of.
I knew I wanted a backstory on Stacie when we first met her in "The Perfect Sister". It's so crazy to me how the BWS are supposed to be one, but Stacie is DEFF living different than Pandora, Raven & even Princess. But I love this for Stacie ☺️ Especially after the way her family tried to play her & made everything about Marsha Marsha Marsha ! My sis was about her business & got not one but THREE fine ass black men who want war behind her 💪🏿 I love how this book is essentially about the men, but we get to see Stacie be a different version of herself with them. & It really shows the many facets of her as the head of the household as well as how they operate.
With Alpha, she had a traditional type of relationship where they both equally contribute to the house & he allows her to lead with respect to his manhood. & He dominates her in the bedroom. Omegha allows her to be super feminine. Always catering to her, being affectionate with her, taking care of her from the time she wakes up to the time she goes to sleep. He is truly her soft place to land. & Deuce is obsessed in a good way. He worships the ground Stacie walks on and has no problem submitting to her. He gets pleasure from pleasing her & he doesn't mind her using him for whatever she needs.
I loved Season One & can't wait to dive into Season Two. & Also let's get into the creativity that is ATL Diaries. The fact that she broke the walls on her imagination & brain to INTERVIEW her characters 🤯 we are not worthy sis.
You are a genius this book opened up my eyes to a new reality of life, love, and lifestyle. What works for one may not work for another, but respect , love and communication is key in very thing. I love this writer, how her inner brain works to come up with the storyline and characters. I wish one day I can meet her and pick her brain.
Giiiiiiirl, I never know what to expect when I download a Desiree novel but I'm never disappointed! Sometimes, I wonder if you'll tie this series to your last... I can't wait until the next installment!!!
After reading The Perfect Sister series I was left wondering how Stacie met her husbands. Desiree had me ctfu in the first book in the series, The Brother Hood, which gives us the background of how they came to be.
Alpha was wild! Hell, let him tell it, he ain’t want to be there anyway. 😂 He had the displeasure of growing up outside of the community so his views on how things were supposed to be differed slightly. Women were the center in the community, but Alpha said play with somebody safer. Chile he gave Stacie a run for her money, and reminded her that he has never been the safe choice, but come to find out he was the safest choice of them all.
Omega. Gosh I love me some him. He wanted parts, and he didn’t care if Alpha didn’t agree. He was all good with it until he too had to face the same type of devastation that Alpha had to live through when he showed up.
Deuce. The big one, not the little one 😂. This baby was just lost, and thank the most high that Stacie showed up when she did. It was rough goings with him, but Stacie refused to give up. He turned out to be an excellent addition to the household.
I loved this story and can’t wait to get into part 2. They all loved her differently yet equally. This type of relationship is not for the weak, but it all worked for the greater good.
In the eyes of the community, Stacie is always being compared to her "perfect" older sister. However, Stacie has a plan. One that includes her three husbands: Alpha, Omega, and Deuce.
I was a little skeptical about getting into Kindle Vella, but this one has been on my list for a while. I was intrigued by the idea of a quad relationship, but ultimately it was the premise of a Black Separatist Matriarchal society that got me to start it.
I honestly enjoyed every bit of this first book. Getting to see everyone's point of view was great. Having the drama be a little messy, but not irretrievably broken was a good touch for me. I definitely enjoyed knowing that things would work out, but also being able to witness how we got there.
If you like realistic quadruples, dystopian societies, and palatable drama, then this story is definitely for you.
I liked that this is the back story of Stacie and her family. I did not like the interview section, I felt like she could have wrote it into the story.
This book also had a lot of grammatical errors in a way I had a hard time following the story. So not spelling but saying he went it should have said she type errors. But I got through it.
This takes us through how Stacie came about her 3 husbands, and also the possibility of a fourth. She is currently pregnant so this is set after Perfeect sisters.
She as 1 husband who was raised in the community up until puberty (alpha), one who is born and raised until adult hood (omega), and one who had no idea about the community in the slightest outside of the evil of it (deuce)
I liked it. I will be reading the rest of the series.
Okkkaayy! This book is so different. I know the characters aren't real but they are so well developed they seem real. Even though she goes back in forth it does not get you confused or feel all over tge place. She is provided different layers to the relationship and developing the chatacters in a deep way. My favorite husband...the one and only Alpha! Excellent read.
The Brotherhood: Season One (The Brotherhood Series Book 1)
A unique storyline. A world where the Black woman is respected as the mother of all nations. The guys were different things to Stacie Newman. Alpha was into her mind. Omega was fulfilling her body's needs. And Deuce was her soulmate. Mind, Body & Soul. The author Desiree can do no wrong when it comes to writing books and holding your interest word for word. Truly a gifted writer. IJS...
Desiree, I thought I wasn't gonna enjoy this read. But I found this very interesting. It's been done in other people seeing it n women of color. I love Stacie she is a woman after my own heart. In their living situation it seems to work for them. I think the organization is a little bit cultish. But this read is full of love, loyalty, lust, happiness, forgiveness and understanding.🤗🤗🤗🤗
WOW! THE BETRAYAL WAS CRAZY! I did NOT see the ending coming. I am so attached to them ALL. Stacy had me cryingggg when she was reading the text messages and going off..I FELT her heart break. I cannot believe she really decided to leave. I also wasn’t expecting the community to be as psycho as they were!! the twist and turns came nonstop!! Per usual, let me move to the next book because I need to know what happens.

Stacie and her men!! This book was everything I needed and more when it comes to understanding Stacie and her relationships with her husbands Alpha, Omega, and Deuce. Learning more about these characters after their appearance in the Perfect Sister was chefs kiss. Stacie really found her mind, heart, and soul in all her husbands and I love that for her! Desiree’s mind is spectacular and has had hooked with her catalog.
This book is cool, and I’m glad I read the Perfect Sister books first because I feel like it made this story even better. I also liked how short and easy to get through this book was.
What I appreciated most was that it answered a lot of the questions I had about the relationship and the dynamics of the marriage. It added more depth to the characters and helped connect everything together.
Overall, this was a solid read, and I’m looking forward to reading the next two books in the series.
ok, so it wasn't all smiles, but they did have some funny moments! It's a very nice novella. I especially liked how the author did a "Q&A" with the characters. unlike The Perfect Sister, they allowed men in their vicinity as a roles reversed type thing. Now that I remember, they did have different factions under different beliefs/teachings!

I enjoyed this book! The Brotherhood I had in my mind wasn't the one I read in this book! I’m sure a lot of women would love to join a community like the one in this book.
Great story and concept. The grammatical errors were noticeable but did not take away from the story. I like how the description of each character was given and not long and drawn out. I like the interchange in stories, which, added to the main story.
I like the reality feeling of the book as if it like a movie playing in your head the details the author gives make the character come alive ..I always enjoy all her books.
Desiree, thanks so much for this book. I was really curious about the husbands and now have a better picture of them in my head. Poor Deuce! I’m not sure if he or Alpha is my favorite. I like both of their energy.
This book was not what I expected after reading the the sisterhood book. I enjoyed the interview part of the book. It was nice to have the back story behind each person.
