Okay .. i have discovered a new favourite author, a new favourite book and a lot of favourite characters !!!
Elaine Romeo spent her life hiding working as a lyricist, all was well for her until she had to drop everything and run across country to save the life of a famous singer.
Running and fighting old friends ( jagger idc if u're bad i wanna f ) and a whole ass cast of back stabbing bitches that have witchcraft to back them, we are running with them on this fantasy filled adventure, AND WHAT AN ADVENTURE
The writing was good ! Kept me intrigued the whole time this was a mix between V.E shwab leigh bardugo and fricking Shakespeare
The plot was simple yet well done.
This ARC has exceeding my expectations ...also ....ROMEO IS THE MOST OBLIVIOUS CHARACTER OH MY GOD lol

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐀𝐑𝐂!

Just finished this book and oh my god. I need to buy this book and eat it page by page until this story lives in me forever.

Read this if you love witches, wolves, roadtrips, and a whole lot of stuff going terribly wrong. Oh, and it's sapphic too :)

The writing is SO BEAUTIFUL, it's so compelling and I blazed through a good 60% of the book in a couple of hours (at night) before my eyes were stinging from my phone's glare. I loved how there was action straight away in the first few chapters, paired with the gradual introduction to the world of Romeo's Card, which I really love. There were so many anxiety-inducing moments in this book (which was strangely enjoyable to read), wlw panic that made me smile uncontrollably, and the descriptions! Oh my god the descriptions in this book was well done and really made me feel like I'm seeing what Romeo's seeing. I do love how much of a dilemma I was in whether or not to trust and like Romeo at the beginning. Oh, and speaking of trust, this book gave me massive trust issues.

I won't spoil this book but can I talk about the final showdown? I'm going ballistic. I am ballistic. OH it's so nicely wrapped together OUGH I'll not shut up about this book.

This was a strange read.

It started out a bit confusing about the card and what it means, but as the story continues it does become clearer.
Romeo, Elaine Romeo, thought she was cursed in live. And it turned out to be true, bit she was a bad person as she thought all along. She met Delilah at the party and things went skew after that. But its only because most people are out for personal gain. I am not sure why Romeo didn't reveal the truth about her being lesbian earlier in the book, but at least it all worked out for her and Delilah in the end.
She was the protector but also the protectee, just like Delilah. They had to protect and save each other.
Great story.

Romeo's Card took me on a Journey into several different Dimensions. Entering thru many Portals within, transforming then, exiting with a fine-tuned Freedom..... a Metamorphosis I'm sure many will find relatable as they feel themselves a part of this thought-provoking story.
