Four books. Four happily-ever-afters. Four couples connected by family ties and friendship. Book One - Love Redesigned When Dani Bishop, a fashion designer in New York City, loses a one-of-a-kind wedding dress she created for her best friend, the only person who can help her get it back just happens to be her ex-boyfriend, Alex. Can she swallow her pride and ask for his help? Without admitting she's still in love with him? A second-chance romance with all the feels and an ending you won't expect. Book Two - Love Unexpected Rosie is a woman who knows her limitations. Easy, casual, in-person conversation with Isaac, her YouTube-famous boss? Never going to happen. But when she strikes up a conversation with him online, she can really let her personality shine. She's witty, funny, relaxed. The only problem? Her boss has no idea the woman he's chatting with online works fifteen feet from his desk. A secret identity, celebrity road trip romcom with witty banter, swoony kisses, and a cast of secondary characters you'll love. Book Three - Love Off-Limits Tyler and Olivia have immediate chemistry when they meet at a mutual friend's wedding, but their lives are way too different to make anything work. They even live in different states! But then a work crisis sends Tyler spinning (and running), and he winds up doing manual labor on the commercial farm Olivia helps run. Olivia thought Tyler was hard to resist before. But now that he's spending his day tending baby goats? She's hopeless. An off-limits, workplace romance full of small town charm and baby goats! Book Four - Love in Bloom Hating Cameron Hunter shouldn't be so easy for Darcy. She's like a golden retriever puppy. She loves everyone and wants everyone to love her. But her rival tour guide running historical tours in downtown Charleston is very good at irritating Darcy and never wastes an opportunity to do it. But behind his shiny (and ridiculously handsome) yacht-club facade, Cameron is hiding something, and Darcy is determined to figure out what it is. The more she learns, the more she begins to wonder if the only thing easier than hating Cameron Hunter . . . is loving him. An enemies-to-lovers romcom full of witty banter and Charleston charm. **The books in the Some Kind of Love series are closed-door, with all the sizzling kisses and crackling chemistry you love in a romance, but with no explicit scenes.**
Jenny Proctor is an award-winning author of more than fourteen romantic comedies and an Amazon bestseller. She began her career in publishing in 2013; her writing has been a constant since then, but she's also spent time as the owner and managing editor of Midnight Owl Editors and the chair of the Storymakers Conference. Jenny was born in the mountains of Western North Carolina, a place she considers one of the loveliest on earth. She loves to hike with her family and spend time outdoors, but she also adores lounging around her home, reading great books or watching great movies and, when she’s lucky, eating delicious food she doesn’t have to prepare herself.

– there is a male/male married couple
Review:
I loved Dani’s drive and passion for fashion! While a little naive when it came to her boss’s intentions at first, I could see Dani’s love of fashion glow throughout all the situations she faced. As well as her loyalty to her friends and family! Dani was conscious of what they enjoyed and what of her actions could affect them and would change her plans accordingly. It did take her a bit to get to that point with her brother, but once they reconciled he was doubly put under her wing in this way. 🥰 Alex was very protective of Dani throughout the whole story. He didn’t always agree with her or be able to tell her everything, but he still did the best he could to protect her and what was important to her. It was cool to see that and then see Dani get the chance to protect Alex. I also really enjoyed when Dani and Alex would think back on their relationship before he left as it added more depth to their continued growing feelings. It also gave insight into why Dani felt as she did about Alex having left her without a word (seeing what kind of relationship they used to have).
Summary: Dani once had dreams that she’d be a designer for LeFranc, but they are all dashed when her boss steals her design and kicks her to the curb. Now Dani needs to go back home to live with her brother and figure out her next steps. Unfortunately, her ex now works for and lives with her brother. So she won’t be able to avoid him, nor the fact that he hurt her by leaving without a word to her.
Alex had to leave New York and couldn’t tell Dani why. But that certainly doesn’t explain why he never contacted her about what it meant for their relationship. Now that he will have every opportunity to be around Dani, will he be able to make things right between them?
Enjoy this fun story full of goals and their steps changing, second chances, and a heist for Dani’s stolen design!
2. Love Unexpected:
Reader’s Notes: – this is told from Rosie and Isaac’s points of view
– there is a female/female married couple
Review:
Anyone else get awkward around or avoid talking with the people you like? Jenny Proctor did an awesome job of portraying this with Rosie! I loved being able to relate to Rosie and laugh about how the two of them interacted with one another. Isaac was so oblivious to Rosie’s feelings for most of the book which was funny since almost everyone else figured it out before he did. I also liked that Isaac’s friends (who were also Rosie’s friends even though she didn’t completely realize it at first) were supportive of Rosie’s feelings and tried to get her to just tell him, but respected her wish to wait and do it a different way.
Summary: Rosie has been in love with Isaac since she started watching his YouTube channel as a high school student. When she gets to work for him, it’s a dream come true, or maybe a bit like a nightmare? With her anxiety going off the charts at times, she can barely get a word out when he speaks to her. And when she is able to speak, she tends to say something odd. To try and fix this/get more comfortable speaking to him, Rosie decides to contact Isaac on Instagram using her old art account which is under a different name than the one she uses every day.
Isaac is having fun talking to a mysterious girl and he wants to see her in person. So he comes up with this idea for his show of a road trip to meet her. He just needs a co-pilot to talk to for the ride. Which is how Rosie ends up on the trip that’s going to go meet herself. But when Isaac starts to fall for Rosie as well as the girl he’s going to meet at the end of the road trip, he wonders who he should choose. And it makes Rosie wonder if a guy like Isaac could ever love her.
What will happen when Isaac finds out the identity of his online pen-pal?
3. Love Off-Limits:
Reader’s Notes: – this is told from Olivia and Tyler’s points of view
Review:
Does anyone else like reading stories with farms because of the animals? This one has some naughty chickens, an adorable baby goat, and a few other animals in passing! I loved the scene with Olivia, Tyler and the chickens 🐓😂. And Tyler with the baby goat 🐐 was so cute! (This is not one scene, but multiple 😍) Tyler and Olivia’s love story was awesome! Especially with Olivia’s family teasing her about her interest in him 😂.
Summary: Tyler and Olivia meet at a wedding for their best friends and have instant chemistry and attraction for one another. As they spend the event talking to one another they both could see the potential for more, but Olivia is trying to be different for her family right now and isn’t looking to have a serious relationship. So she pushes Tyler away and tries to move on.
Until Tyler shows up at her family’s farm looking for a job and a second chance. Though Olivia knows it would be a bad idea, she gives Tyler a job and tells him that they cannot have a relationship per the rules. But seeing him around all the time might make her want to break her rules, especially when he starts to care for a baby goat and it follows him around the property.
While Tyler agrees to not try and start something with Olivia because of the rules she gave, he can’t seem to stop wanting to spend time around her and flirt with her. He is willing to respect her boundaries, but when they do choose to start a relationship he is firm in pointing out that he is all in and wants Olivia for the long-haul. Not just a fling. If she isn’t able or willing to agree to it, he needs to protect his heart and leave.
Will Olivia choose to live for herself or for her family? Will Tyler need to protect his heart?
4. Love in Bloom:
Reader’s Notes: – this is told from Darcy and Cameron’s points view
Review:
I loved all the pranks in this story! 😂 I really liked that Cameron had difficulty opening up to people about himself. It was so cool to see his back and forth thoughts on opening up or pulling back when things got to be too much to process. And Darcy learning to be patient with him and realizing that what he needs is not necessarily what she wants at the time. I really liked the epilogue too 👀 ❤️😂.
Summary: Darcy has hated Cameron at first sight. Based on his looks, she created a mental picture of who he was. This isn’t helped when he changes his walking tour route to begin the same place as hers. And messes with her every day. But when news of a magazine feature circulates, Darcy is determined to beat Cameron and get that feature.
Cameron has a reason for starting at the same place as Darcy, but certainly can’t tell her that. Not when she thinks she has him all figured out and nothing is likely to change her mind. Not when the reason is the exact opposite of what she expects. But with the opportunity for this magazine feature, Cameron might get a leg up in both his relationship with Darcy and his work. Especially since he and Darcy made a bet that will benefit the winner.
With even more on the line than before, Darcy and Cameron are willing to mess with each other to throw each other off their game.
The plan is annoy the heck out of your opponent and hope they slip…
Love redesigned was so adorable and I love the banter of Alex and Dani they are adorable I really love them all truthfully they are so fun to read lots of laughing some crying in spots and lots of oh no iykyk anyways read them all you will love Rosie and Isaac and Olivia Tyler and Darcy and Cameron and think of them as a second family you didn't know you needed but really have to keep coming back to see how they are
Jenny writes the most authentic, realistic, loveable characters! The stories are full of humor and heart!! It's not all rainbows and sunshine as these characters all have trials and tough things to deal with but it's the hope and love they find that's perfection!! Her rom-coms are all clean romance but there's still chemistry and swoon worthy kisses!
I absolutely adore everything she writes and will auto-buy all of her books!!!
Jesus, Goodreads either hates these books or it hates me. This is the third time I’ve tried to post a review & I’m done. The last two books were good enough & the reviews for the first two books are under, “see activity.”
These stories are filled with real complications and adventure in how ordinary people fall in love❤️ This author is highly recommended. Thanks for your stories.
This was my first read by Jenny and OMG so glad I stumbled upon her writing. Witty, swoony romance at its best. Can't wait to dig into the Hawthorne brothers!
