The Faceless

Rate this book
A young woman finds herself in dire straits. Haunted by dreams of demons and the strife of her family alike, she must endure exile, hardship, betrayal, and loss, all in a dead world bereft of light and life. Yet upon the shores of the Glass Tree, that fabled domain of demons, masked-witches, and doomed heretics, the chance for salvation remains. She must seize it herself. She must deny grief, shed herself of the shackles of others' whims, and decide for herself what shall be her fate. And perhaps she may even decide the fates of others.

He is different. He knows what his path is and what he must do, even if he must travel to the frozen ends of the endless sea. To capture a demon, even with the help of another demon, is no easy task, but he was made for it, has prepared for it for his entire life. Yet, whatever his knowledge and powers and cryptic allies, he will find that his greatest foe is something that he has always carried with him, something he has forever sought to deny—himself. And then there are those who made him, who first set him on this journey; are they foes as well, or the only ones he can ever trust?

The Faceless is a 2-part novel set in a bizarre ocean-world of demons and magic. You might like this book if you enjoy unique worldbuilding, stories about self discovery, free will, and friendship.
