Lots of low lift, practical ideas for learning outdoors - even in nature-poor environments. Excited and hopeful to try many of these ideas next school year 🍃🪺🪵✏️
Very useful book - written with lots of background research done but presented in a very handy and easy to use manner.
We all know that it is very important to bring our children and students outdoors - not just to have the lesson for that day but also to mould long term skills in observing, being aware and being curious.
This book gives systematic approaches as well as usable one-off ideas to learn outdoors - the school yard, a walk through a park or sitting on the steps of a church or a picnic bench. We don't have to travel miles and miles for outdoor learning.
The learning should ( and very likely so) be interactive and fun. The suggestions of doing math and fractions are novel and attractive.
On e-book, there is a useful appendix that will link the reader/user to ideas and hacks.
