Claws and Fangs #6

Stay With Me

Rate this book
The other female gets her happily-ever-after…
For as long as I could remember, I’ve been in love with a male that wasn’t mine. I knew I wasn’t his fated mate, either. I just thought… Ryker Wolfson would one day be the Alpha. He couldn’t take a mate until then, and maybe I could get him to choose me.

I was wrong.

It's no excuse, but love can make you do some terrible things. Instead of supporting my new Alpha and his intended, I listened to a traitor and I nearly lost everything. When Ryker lifted my exile, allowing me to return to Accalia, I vowed I would make amends and start over.

And I did. For a few weeks, I thought things might be different. I thought I might have my chance at forever… and then I was taken captive by the Wicked Wolf of the West.

My time in the Wolf District changed me. It broke me. I probably wouldn’t have survived it at all if it wasn’t for Duke.

A gentle giant of a delta, I never got the chance to know him. I was obsessed with Ryker, and Duke was just another packmate—until he found me and my wolf locked in a cage and he willingly sacrificed his own freedom to keep me company.

Now we’re in Accalia, and the male responsible for my nightmares is dead. Duke has gone back to being a silent shadow who watches me, but I don’t understand why. We’re home again, and while I’m still far from whole, I’m not important enough for my own guard. Not like our new Alpha female.

I’m Trish Danvers. I’m no one.

Except, it seems, to Duke Conlon.

**Stay With Me is a novella (~30,000 words) that finishes up the main Claws and Fangs series. Duke is so good for her, and even though Trish might still be the selfish female who once schemed to come between Gem and Ryker, once she sets her sights on him, the big guy doesn’t stand a chance. And, after what happened to her in the Wolf District, she's earned him.

This book completes the series. I enjoyed the story though after the previous books in the series this seemed somehow simplistic. There were quite a few editing errors, typos etc, which all made me feel like the author was rushing too much to finish it. This all irritated me enough that I lowered my rating by another star.

A sweet, quick read

This novella wraps up the Claws and Fangs series very nicely. We met our FMC, Trish, in the first book of the series, Never His Mate. She was one of the antagonists in that book, and this is her redemption story.

I did like being able to see her turn from a pretty vicious bitch to a remorseful she-wolf who believes she doesn’t deserve anything, even a mate of her own. Of course we all saw this one coming in Forever Mates. But it still did my heart good.

I really liked this series as a whole a do highly recommend it.

Good read

I enjoyed the book. It had a lot of former series in it. It was an interesting set up. The characters were persistent. It is different to see the woman's point of view throughout the whole story.

Sweet short story. Everyone knows Duke loves Trish except Trish. She has such a level of self-hate that she can’t accept that his protection is anything more than pity from when she was imprisoned in California. He sleeps on her doorstep and brings her food. She reciprocates by baking him cupcakes. Finally the full moon steps in and breaks down her barriers.

End for now

Last book there is a spin off series but only one book is out at the moment all new characters set in the same world two of the alpha council is in that series alpha Bishops sister Helena is book two out in February with his best rejecting his mate in book one. (stolen mates series)

This series is interesting and Gem and Ryker are in all books but there story is the first three looks like there might be a book 7 with jace her guard but much later.(There is Bobby two is he mated?)
I was not a fan of Trish after all she is mean wanted ryker even though he had a intended and wolf's should know fated is a done deal if your not all ready in love with another, plus she blackmailed him (they kind of glossed over that) funny thing is she knew gem was a alpha in hiding but she was still a bitch to her she could of snapped and took her head off.I'm glad that Gem didn't just forget, she forgot about forgiving and moved on.I didn't want to see them be friends no need to be enemy's after all gem was the bigger person and went to save trish at great risk.but she put them through hell for a year more for Ryker I would of been ok if she raced of to find gem and tell her the truth after a few weeks of her leaving trying to make it right.
That said, I liked in this story she owns what she did and don't pretend otherwise she was a selfish bitch and it did backfire (karma) she got taken because she told people the alpha chose her (unture) but I guess she saw how wrong and it changed her for the better when she was held prisoner.

Trish and Duke

I loved all of the Claw and Fangs books and I'm so happy I finally read this one. It was a short but enjoyable read!! Trish has put herself threw alot, did very harmful things out of a want that become an influenced obsession over ryker..But she also had some horrible things happen to her and it changed her and opened her eyes (she still is stubborn as ever😁) but she has remorse and wants to be a better woman and wolf. Duke is absolutely amazing talk about a mate who is strong in every sense of the word!! I have always loved Sarah Spades take on the supernatural and I love how Gem helps give Trish exactly what she needs straight up and to the heart of the matter, she is an exceptional female alpha. Trish and Dukes story to me was refreshing and I wanted more. I really hope we get more books on the characters from this series.❤️ It was good for the last Claw and Fang series!!

another quick read

Overall it was a good quick read, some spelling errors and a bit repetitive in other areas but overall a sweet insight to Trish’s story. I especially liked how Duke is this big silent giant type but he’s also so devoted and has puppy love eyes just for her. They both could have had a little more drawn out storyline and it would have made their ending that much sweeter. Like right after the Luna moon. Duke could have made more of an effort to talk to her. But I am glad that she got her happily ever after at the end.

Not as good as the rest of the series

I enjoyed the book but it did not keep me engaged; not much to the story line and no excitement to the love story. I think I enjoyed the fact that it was a continuation of the series. That is why I read it. The intensity was missing in this one, very predictable and a very quick read.

wrapped up the series well

Cute book to wrap up a fun series. I read all seven books in day, they are just that good.
The author builds and world with characters you are interested in and gives them enough flaws to make their humanity believable.
I’ve got a free afternoon so I think I’ll just go and read the rest of her books on KU.

This book was absolutely AH-MAZING! Typically, when I cannot put a book down, I get aggravated when I have to; however, as I waited to finish this book, I just became more and more hooked! 😍😍

I adore plots where the heroine has a past that makes her have a anti hero vibe. It makes the story most captivating for me.
