Horde Wars #5

Lord of the Deep

Rate this book
The fifth of the Horde Wars stories.

Tryton, Elder of the Shikar Council, knows the cost of love and vows never to fall prey to its seductive embrace. He cannot, for that way lies madness, destruction and unspoken secrets centuries old.

Niki Akitoye is a woman cursed by love, indeed by any emotion that makes her lose grip on her tightly held control. When Niki loses control, people die. She must never let anyone get too close.

But once these two proud fighters meet, all their rules stand waiting to be broken…and the price of desire could be salvation or destruction.

In a world you thought you knew, pasts collide and futures hang in the balance. For our greatest needs and darkest secrets are kept closest to the heart. And fate has a way of catching up with us…

It is recommended that the previous books in the series be read before this one, in order to fully appreciate and understand Lord of the Deep.

I really love Sherri L King's books. She is an auto-buy author for me. She writes well written heroes and heroines and I believe she develops great chemistry between her characters.
Lord of the Deep is the 5th book in the Horde War series. I have been anxious to read about the Elder-Tryton the most mysterious and secretive leader of the Shikar council, I was not disappointed.
Tryton has been living a lonely existence for centuries. Although his fellow council members are considered his friends, he must keep many secrets from other for their protection. This has caused him to feel unworthy of love. When he rescues Nikki from certain death, he is immediately spellbound by her. He feels things he has never felt before and is drawn to her light and acceptance.
If you are offended by strong language and explict sexual situations, well this book is not for you.
I am looking forward to Grimm's book. He's been tortured long enough..lol

For someone who seemed so put together in the last couple of books was a total batcase. I dont think I have ever read a book that went straight to the point. Refreshing as it was i did not think that their story was complete. I can not wait for the next book.... I also must add that although it was not as good as the first book this one has a lot of steamy romance and sexy men proving themselves. I also enjoyed the juicy secrets that were revealed. I enjoyed this book.

Great read, book 5 of the Horde Wars. Tight plot with page turning action - both in the story and between the sheets. Tryton meets his soul mate and he and Niki become a very hot December/May romance... Secrets are revealed, some serious plot twists occur BUT there is a cliffhanger ending! And there is no book 6! Tryton and Niki are resolved but not his status with the Council [given some of the things that occur:] and Grimm and Raine are left hanging...

There is an ongoing story arc; read them in order.

#5 Horde Wars - Erotic Paranormal

Tryton & Niki

Many mysteries are unravelled by the end of this exciting Horde Wars book, featuring Tryton, the Edler of the Shikar Council.

Sherri L. King is one author on my "Read Everything This Author Writes" list!

Now if we can just get a HEA for Grimm the Traveller! Maybe in Ride the Lightning or Caress of Flame, the two books in the Shikar series, which follows the five books in the Horde Wars series ...
