Steele by Sherri L. King After a year long coma, Marla has returned home from the hospital. But something about her has changed. Something unbelievable. Brian Steele, a vigilante and ex underground boxer, has come into Marla's life to protect her and help her understand her strange new abilities. But before long, he also has plans to seduce her down to her very soul. How will Marla, still weak and confused, cope with such a virile man as Steele? She doesn't know, but she's ready to learn. As soon as possible. Vicious by Sherri L. King People are not always what they seem. This old adage is especially true of vigilante Johnny Vicious. After Saving Enya from assassins, Johnny and Enya know an immediate and tense attraction. But a beat cop, John Spada, has come between the two star crossed lovers. And now Enya must choose between sane, sensible John or wild and untamed vicious. It's too bad she can't have them both. Fyre by Sherri L. King Mia is a fire starter. Desperate for a normal life, she's never been able to control her abilities, often finding herself back under the care of the scientists at Sterling. Ryan, the director at Sterling, has loved Mia since they were young, but he's never had the courage to tell her. She associates him with Sterling, after all, and an endless string of tests and doctors. When a dangerous assignment comes up, one that will place Mia in a very perilous position, Ryan knows he must act quickly to save the woman he loves and prove to her his devotion - before it's too late.

I love Sherri L King books! She writes about such HOT heroes, I literally need a cold drink beside me when I read her!
This is a 3 story anthology.
The stories are are related to one another. The backdrop is all of the people that Live and Work for a company called Sterling are special. They all have some special power that is studied and used for the greater good. I found the premises of all three very interesting, and was anxious to see how it would all turn out.

Steele

If someone tries to shoot Brian Steele, the bullet will bounce off of his body. Having great strength and being tall as well as built, he was often used and abused as a child by his father. When he was rescued by a mysterious man at Sterling, he learns what family is and uses his special ability to protect and guard others.
Marla has come out of a year-long coma. She has been through some tough rehabilitation, and in the process of healing her body, has learned she now has some new amazing abilities. When her life becomes in danger. Brian and Marla have a very sweet relationship. The attraction is immediate, and their love comes quickly and pretty intense...I didn't want the story to end!

Vicious

Johnny Vicious is a man of mystery. He moves with the speed of lightening, and keeps his face hidden in the dark...
Enya is running for her life. A star witness in an upcoming trial she is running for her life. When Vicious saves her she is spellbound by his mysterious ways. As he takes her to the police to be protected, he slips her his card and then slips out of her life.
John Spada is a handsome, reliable Cop assigned to protect Enya. He is strong, funny but there is something very familiar about him that Enya can't quite figure out what it is.
This had some sad moments in it. But, the attraction between the characters was sizzling, and it was a very fast-well paced story.

Fyre

Mia is a fire starter. She once was protected and studied at Sterling, but with her determination to live a normal life, she left and got a job at an aquarium. When her fire-starting abilities get out of control, her old friend- Ryan the man she has always loved and desired, brings her back to sterling to help her, despite her protests. Soon, she realises that she can no longer fight the attraction and her ability to heat things up.
Ryan runs Sterling. His father started this haven for the Unique people and the resposiblity went to him at his father's death. Ryan himself has the ability to appear and disappear from one room to another with ease. His feelings for Mia have always been strong, and once he is with her again becomes determined to bring them together forever.
This story has all of the characters in the previous two stories working together to fight of the bad guys. So, it easily wraps the book up, plus you get to see what happens to everyone.

If you are offended by strong language and explict sex, this book is NOT for you.

This was a quick and easy read. The sex scenes were intense and graphic and all the characters were very likeable.

Erotic Paranormal

Three stories set in the same world of unique paranormal and supernatural powers. I'm a big Sherri L. King fan ... while I enjoyed these stories, I would have enjoyed them more with additional plot and development.

Steele

Marla awakens from a coma with special powers. Brian Steele, vigilante and ex-underground boxer, leads Marla to the covert Sterling group which will help her understand her new condition. Steele must protect Marla from a different group who wants to study Marla's powers ... but they are bad guys.

Vicious

Vigilante Johnny Vicious has a secret. After saving Enya from assassins, Johnny and Enya have a strong attraction. John Spada, a cop, is complicating the situation. Something is very strange here. [Reader Note: I was distracted by the spelling of "Vicious" ... and found myself wondering if Black Dagger Brotherhood Brother V (Vishous) was making a cameo appearance in cognito.]

Fyre

Mia is a fire starter, unable to control her abilities. Ryan, Sterling's director, is secretly in love with Mia. A dangerous assignment forces Ryan into action.

Overall I enjoy King's writing. She's more literate than many I've read in the erotic romance genre. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this paperback which is a compilation of three of her e-books. I thoroughly enjoyed the first story, but think that the second one was my favorite-it had a plot twist, that while alluded to, I wasn't quite expecting and was pleasantly surprised. Also the hero was damn hot. The third story was a disappointment. It felt very rushed like she was just trying to finish a third one and be done with the series. It also didn't seem like the relationship aspect was developed worth beans. In other words, I didn't believe the characters loved each other, not even close...there was nothing substantiating their attraction. So while I like her writing, over all I like my erotic romance to have a bit more emotion and depth than I found in this volume.

Contains books 1, 2, and 3 of the Sterling Files. Think a small time version of the X-Men, saving the world or least the mean streets of Cleveland. This is not her best work but it is readable. Compared to the quality of the Horde Wars books I just read, it suffers. The heroines and heroes were only mildly interesting - although to quote another review on this site "They were all 'obnoxiously endowed' (all I can say is, OUCH!) well-meaning 'good guys'." That about nails it...

For me, "Sterling Files" by Sherri L. King read more like a graphic novel. In fact, I think I would have enjoyed it more if it had been a graphic novel. Three stories of individuals with paranormal powers who become associated with a special government agency. There's not a lot of relationship building, but there is a lot of hot, erotic sex.

I think a 3 is a generous rating. I like the first book, Steele, though not as much as I did the first time I read it. The other two stories just seemed silly and rushed to me.
