Hello!
Thank you for stopping by.
The short story is I was born in Toronto, Canada. When I was 16, my family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and that is where I met my wife, Bev.
We've been married for 43 years and share our home in Southwest Missouri with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 8 chickens, a herd of goats. We have 3 sons and 12 grandchildren that keep us hopping.
I've been known to ride my motorcycle in nice weather, play golf in nice weather, and tend my garden in nice weather. In bad weather, I prefer to stay inside. :)
Thanks to the support of you, our readers, I've been able to devote full time to my writing. Bev does our cover designs.
We hope you our books are enjoyable and you'll let us know.

Intriguing!

This was another riveting nail biting, edge of your seat story. A brutal murder with no apparent motive and few leads. Trying to get to the bottom if it all is like pulling teeth without novacaine for the detective assigned to the case. Persons of interest are on his radar but they all seem to have solid alibis. One lead that might pan out deals with the boyfriend of the victim's niece, but trying to find enough evidence and anyone willing to talk isn't going in the Detectives favor.

Fast paced, well written with interesting characters and vivid details of the Charleston area landmarks. Also interesting is the side story dealing with the personal life of Detective Shawn Mitchell who feels he may have just found the One, but she has mixed feelings about anything long term with a man who works homicide. Another enjoyable and entertaining read, and as per usual I didn't have a clue as to the real culprit. And another pleasant surprise was the fact that there wasn't a long detailed description of the autopsy which I always have to skip over. I have 2 more books in this very intriguing and highly addictive series. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed!

Dalglish does it again

Another straight forward whodunnit with solid police work, believable characters and interesting locales. A quick, enjoyable read. Will keep reading the series.

Another great read from this very talented author. This storyline is written so "cleanly" from start to finish. No stuffer distractions or digressions, just "the facts, ma'am." So easy to read, get into the characters, how the process of detecting goes, and we are led down a dynamite path to a very satisfying conclusion.

Nice to see new location. The detective and the characters were interesting and as usual good to read without bad language and sex. Just too much of that these days in so many books. I like the Police Procedural writing too. Giving the info on where he or she is whether it is at precinct or at a person of interest home or business etc. and the time of day which day etc. Yeah I like that. Wish some of the City Murder detectives would get another visit. Some of them were really good. This one I really liked but it did come to an end rather quickly. Maybe could have been fleshed out a little more? Or Not. Nicole the character did make me feel for her but also know she has............ well no spoiler here so just read it. My next read is a true story and account of a plane crash that happened here where I live and one person on board the plane I had known/met at a college and the woman and daughter in the house it hit who is the real writer and telling the story and about her husband and family and others. The Title: One on The Ground. Here is what it says on Amazon's store page for the book. I am now about 1/2 way through it. It has touched me personally and I know all the places and have been to the Memorial site myself and known the people. Lived in the area and it was National News. Still I think it is very good read and she will be writing more books in future. It is miracle she and her daughter survived this and can now share and go on with life after that tragedy.
From Amazon;
One on the Ground: The Story of One Family Before, During, and After Continental Flight 3407 Crashed into their Home. I hope you will read this moving encouraging painful but also joyous story. I admit I cried a few times reading this. My personal connection to the story or just because it is TRUE. Their fight to make changes and has made changes in aviation history and how pilots are trained and other things thanks to these families through their losses those changes affect everyone today who will fly on a plane again.
John Dalglish is one my favorite reads. Read almost all of his books and like any author there were some so so and others that were awesome but most are really good reads and all of them clean stories. The book, One on the Ground I will write a review of that when finished. Wish you all and Great Day and a peaceful safe night.
Peace.
