Jazz is living her best life after getting the opportunity of a lifetime. She took a chance and moved across the country for a one-in-a-million shot. Now time has passed and a shot has turned into a career that’s flourishing.
Liv dropped everything when Jazz asked if she would join her on her journey. Now, behind the bright lights and photo ops, Liv is struggling to make it through the days and find her place in this new world. Instead she finds herself face to face with something far more dangerous.
Jazz and Liv are best friends but they’re on very different paths, each finding their own way through the fame.
Will they succeed together or lose each other along the way?
Ivy Love most definitely takes you on a journey with Addict. Reading each POV of these fantastic characters has you immersed in their story from the beginning and with every turn you are surprised where she takes you. We meet Liv a woman who will do whatever it takes to make her friend Jazz a success but what she doesn’t want people to know is that she struggles each and everyday to keep it all together. Jazz is an up and coming star and with her best friend by her side she can’t fail but every thing is not what it always seems to be. Brad is a man who has been burnt in the past but when he meets Liv he knows that his life will change for the better but he knows that it won’t be easy. Brad is a man that will keep you on your toes and do you really know him that is for you too decide. What this story shows that you never know what can happen or even when but what I do know that once you pick it up you won’t want to put it down until you see the words The End.
Ivy Love has written an amazingly unique suspenseful romance.
This book has not one, not two, but three POV. I loved the three different POV's. It kept me guessing as to what would happen next and with whom.
This is not light fluffy romance. This is a walk down a path of a functioning addict and the all that that entails.
Now is it a HEA? Some would say yes, others may say no. I encourage you to read it for yourself, enjoy the friendship of Jazz & Liv, and see which side you land on.
A few things I know for sure: • I will re-read it • it did require tissues • I never in a million years could have predicted that ending 💥🤯💥 • Ivy Love has a unique ability of writing what some may deem as ugly truths and creating a beautiful story while making readers aware that people don't always have sunshine, roses or unicorns in their lives, yet they are still beautiful humans in spite of what they've endured or experienced.
I liked the idea behind the story and for me, the overall story from the beginning to the middle just wasn't as great as I expected. It could be the delivery to the characters themselves but reaching towards the end I was pleased enough to feel that the conclusion was great. This story may not be for all readers and or may be hard to read for some.
What a heartbreaking emotional read this was. Jazz and Liv, best friends since grade school have been the one constant in each others lives. Liv was always happy to live in the shadows of her best friend, she has left everything she loved to support her. Absolutely loved this story, loved the different povs of each character. What a journey, a ride thru the life of an addict and her friends.
