This was such a quick read. but so well written. The plot was great and so was the spice!
Alexis catches her boyfriend cheating on her & within the same day her friend offers her a ticket to Hell’s Gate. A halloween attraction that is in town for one more night. Despite being scared of what that could involve. She joins her friends.
Which is where she meets Mr. Monster, who distracts her with lots and lots of pleasure.

Thank you to the author for an arc of Hells Gates
Very quick read, it was immaculately written and I enjoyed it. I think I was just expecting more of a fear factor and more descriptions of Alexis’s Mr.Monster but he’s described once and during some of the spicy scenes he’s actually ends up taking off some of his costume. I guess I just pictured this book being somewhat different. I look forward to reading more by this author.

This book made me feel like I was dropped into this novella along with the characters while they were going through the haunted house. This made me giddy with excitement as one of my favourite parts of Halloween is the haunted houses.
So wow! I loved these two and the spooky vibes throughout this novella. The chemistry between these two just clicked right away. Where can I get myself a Mr. Monster? The perfect amount of good and evil.
After Alexis walks in on her boyfriend with another woman, Alexis's best friend convinces her to go to Hell's Gate, a travelling haunted attraction. Where she meets a mysterious man in a monster costume.
Let's just say this is not the place for Alexis, but somehow finds her place with him instead when he helps her out of the Haunted House. This is when things get very interesting 🥵.

A quick and surprisingly sweet read despite its plot - after getting her heart stomped on, Alexis visits a haunted house with her friends. When a worker with a deep voice rescues her from her own panic, they spend the rest of the night exploring their attraction to each other. Lucas reminds Alexis that she deserves to be treasured and pleasured...and they only get this one night together.
Alexis needed to let go, and even though we don't get much at the end (because it's a duet, duh) it's easy to feel that this night changed her, and made her adjust her expectations. I can't wait to see who she is a few months later in the next book.

Whats a better way to get over someone then to get under someone else. Alexis gets cheated on by her boyfriend so her friends invite her to go to a haunted night on halloween night and she gets swept away by a monster in the night who makes her scream in the best way possible. Very quick read to bad at the end of the night they must part ways until next halloween.

DNFd at 59%.
Started off great but the author lost me when the FMC has a panic attack in the haunted house. Followed by the MMC carrying her outside for them to start walking through a corn maze and her saying “catch me if you can”. The pacing through this section was weird and I lost interest. It’s like the author wanted to rush to the spicy part of the story.

This novella was easily a few-hour read that I enjoyed way too much! ۵ It’s definitely perfect for the spooky season, and I didn’t think it would have my heart racing as much as it did! I’d much rather read about a haunted house than actually go to one because I was just as scared throughout this read! Alexis goes through an unexpected heartache, and she doesn’t want to deal with anyone or anything but sulk, yet her best friend manages to convince her to go out and simply enjoy life! Without thinking it’s possible, Alexis comes across a mysterious Mr. Monster who literally turns her whole night upside down...
Lucas is the famous Mr. Monster. He puts up quite a performance to terrify those who walk into Hell’s Gates. Everyone gets the scary side of him, except Alexis, the girl he didn’t see coming and who turned his plans in a different direction. Because Alexis is going to know who he is if he has any say in it, even if it’s just for one night. But is one night enough?
I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again! Pamela literally blows my mind with how much she captivates me with her words! Everyone needs a spooky book this season, and this one should definitely be at the top of your list! ۵

This one had my heart rate through the roof! a Fun fast pace great spooky read for spooky season. The instant attraction these two had for each other was HOT! Alexis is very timid but knows what she wants and Lucus is the perfect monster to give it all to her. The spice had me feeling some type of way ;) and I may have a new shmink about being called "pet" I definitely want more of these two.

Normally Alexis would avoid things like this, but she could use the fair-like food snacks and distraction. Upon arrival she senses eyes on her. Ignoring the sensation, she joins her friends as they make their way through their first excursion. This doesn't end the way she hopes. Finding herself on the floor in the middle of this scare house in a panic attack when the same feeling she got from earlier reappears.
Mr. Monster sees her and comes to her rescue. He takes her outside to get some fresh air, but when emotions are high the two get frisky.
If you have read the Dirty First Dates Series by Harley Laroux, this is the book for you.

While walking thru attractions, getting scared and having a panic attack, she is saved by Mr. Monster (Luca). He gives her an EPIC night, fufills her fantasies but he has to leave town the next morning. This spicy haunting tale was such a great light read! More fitting to read during spooky season because unlike the title suggests, the main setting is during Halloween! 🎃 Which I love. I’m not a fan of Haunted houses just like the FMC so was totally relatable.
I enjoyed getting to live vicariously through the FMC for sure 😂
Story takes us on a roller coaster of emotions in the beginning with a big BANG happening in the first few chapters. Taking advice from her best friend, they go visit a haunted house & the fun really begins!

This was a quick, SPICY read! I typically shy away from novellas due to the fast plot progression but this was so well written I didn’t really notice. I loved the Halloween theme just in time for spooky season. I can’t wait for book 2!

Not for everyone, for sure. It does have some TW's. I am not sure all are needed. There is one for cheating, normally that would have made this a WNR for me but I ignored it (thankfully) neither of the main characters cheated.
Wouldn't say it fits in romance with an ambiguous ending. I see there is a Christmas story to follow so maybe that is the same characters and there will be more? I will read that in the winter.

FAST pace, instant attraction, happens all in one night!! WOW!

When Mr Monster showed up while Alexis was freaking out in one of the haunted houses all I could do was go awww 🥺 but the more & more he kept calling her his pet— 😮💨🔥
These two strangers really made their Halloween night something to remember. & the maze & roof scenes will definitely play on repeat in my mind. 🥵🙈
I hope to get more of these two because they were so fun!

I loved this so much I am going to buy it in the paperback version! Scare actor, smut, halloween, "pet" nickname?! YES PLEASE! This was such a fun and fast paced read for Halloween that was definitely 95% smut and 5% smut, which by now we all know I love! I will say that the ending definitely leaves you wanting more (there is no HEA) and I am so HAPPY to see that there is already a date for the next book on Mr. Monster and Alexis!

Short but all kinds of spicy! I loved Alexis and the way she handled her ex. And her Mr. Monster that she came upon is AMAZING! I want to go find my own monster/Lucas!
As it came to a close I found myself craving more! I can imagine the passion between those two would be even more explosive than it was!

For all my Halloween enthusiasts, if you want a sexy novella to get you through October, you need to run and buy Hell's Gates ASAP.
This book was the perfect combo of sweet and spicy - I devoured it just like Mr Monster devoured our protagonist Alexis (see what I did there *wink wink*). This novella had me feeling some kind of way, let me tell you. I didn’t think I was into the nickname ‘pet’ but now….
If I go to a Haunted House this spooky season and there isn’t a guy working there who comforts me during a panic attack and then proceeds to fulfil all my fantasies, then I don’t want it.
Seriously, go read this novella!!!

Y'all!!! This book was perfect but not!
The book didn't end how I wanted!!!! Like how how could it not end up with them together!!! I was so sad about that!! But I can't wait to read more into this story!!
I loved everything besides how it ended my heart wasn't expecting that!!

This book just wasn’t very good. I could not get into it because there was spelling mistakes, the dialog was horrible, and most of it was just so cringy. The plot wasn’t bad but the writing was just so beginner it was painful. I think this author could grow and get good but right now it just isn’t it.

It was a good little short story… I love Halloween themed books so this was a good one to pass the time with some definitely steamy scenes. The idea was pretty interesting having it at a Halloween carnival of sorts thought it was pretty much the house of mirror scene from haunting adeline lol. If you like this one there’s Scream for Us by Molly Doyle🤷🏻♀️

It was a good scare haunt, spicy Halloween novella. There is supposed to be a second book so I’m super excited!! But it’s a Christmasy haunt I think? So maybe I’ll wait a bit 🤷♀️🤣
