The Beginning

Rate this book
My name is Sky Waters. I am a half-breed--half Fallen, half watcher. I was given simple orders: to observe, watch, and protect but to never intervene. I have kept to these orders for centuries, but now I can't. Everything is changing, and I am changing with it. Mother Earth is trying to hold on, but the darkness is consuming everything

Daniel is a human who is not meant to be a part of my world. He keeps popping up everywhere. It has been written that it is forbidden for humans to know that we exist, but Daniel is kind, gentle, pure, and, not to mention, downright hot!

Damon is the very opposite. He is as far from human as you can get. In fact, he is the prince of darkness--the devil I have been fighting wars on opposite sides for as long as I can remember. Damon is cruel, rough around the edges, and pure evil, but there is something about him that is sexy as hell.

I am drawn to both of them for reasons I do not understand. I can't run nor can I hide from the truth--a truth that has been hidden for centuries, a truth that might cost us everything.

Nothing is what it appears to be. And so, it begins.

Sky Waters is a half-breed. Half fallen, half watcher. For centuries she has been given strict orders to protect and observe without intervening which she has completed flawlessly, until now.
Something big and dark is on the horizon. Many changes are occurring and Sky needs to adapt and accept that she can no longer sit back and watch it all take place.
A very strong bond and connection is between her and two others. A human named Daniel and shockingly, the Devil himself, Damon. The connection that started is out of her control.
Together, the three of them set out on a journey to battle the darkness, with a special weapon in hand that takes away the powers of the worst demons.
Throughout the journey, Sky learns more about herself and the bond that has been created between her and two others.
Will Sky, Daniel, and Damon escape the darkness and leave the battle unscathed? Will Sky find out the full truth about herself and the bond she shares with two others? Are there secrets hidden within these three that are yet to be revealed?

My Review:
This novella has a great twist on how good and evil are perceived. Portrayed by the characters. Daniel is good and Damon is evil while Sky is a mix of both.
The author keeps the reader interested as more details behind "the bond" are slowly revealed.
Unveiled is part one of this series, I am not sure how many stories are to follow.
Part one leaves off on a cliffhanger, inviting the reader to pick up the book to continue the story and see how the relationships, battles, and future turns out.
The true battle is good vs. evil. Not only within the storyline itself but within the bond of the three main characters.
I'm eager to read part two, to continue the story and see how the choices and battles play out.

This is a fun way of writing about the moral dilemma of good vs evil, right and wrong, etc. The added love story component made it an enjoyable read.

I will say that I struggled with how it felt like she was leaning more toward one person than the other the entire time. I didn’t feel like the other person was ever given a fair chance. I hope that that changes in the sequel. How can she make a real decision if she isn’t giving them both the same effort. I honestly felt so sad for the man who felt like the underdog to me throughout the whole book.

With that said, Sasha did make me really like the other option a lot. I found myself feeling that I would be happy if she chose him and I could see them being very happy together. I just think that that could be true in both relationships if given the opportunity.

I enjoyed the Barbas part a lot. I, at times, felt like it all came to easy for them, so it felt more real for something to not ultimately work out in their favor every time. Struggle can also strengthen relationships and I think we will see a lot of that in book two.

The parts with Michael felt like some of the realest moments in the book to me. He’s someone who wasn’t in love with her so there was no BS and just straight facts and consequences. I respected Sky so much more in those moments in the story.

I enjoyed the quick pace of this book and found myself thinking about it when I wasn’t reading it and wondering what was going to happen next. I really look forward to seeing how the rest of the story plays out!

This is book one from the series
I went for this book not really knowing if I’ll like it because I’ve never heard of it. This wasn’t the type of read that I would go to but If you like Angel vs Evil type of book you would really enjoy this one it’s a super quick and fast passed read.

The book got me interested really quick, I liked how even when sky was bonded with two guys a humans and the prince of darkness they both learn how to work together to protect each other specially sky.

I didn’t really liked how she just bonded with Daniel and Damon I wanted to see more of the story behind their connection…but other than that it’s a great fantasy read with great mystery and secrets.

In the beginning there was so much happening in the chapters that it was hard to keep up with but as I went on, it got harder to put the book down! By the middle of the story I found myself lost in the fantasy and ended up finishing this book in just a couple of hours! I definitely see myself reading the rest of this series!

I feel like first books can always be tough because they are responsible for setting up the characters, the world, the storyline.

This book had a lot of the elements needed for a great series. I was hoping for more spice but I enjoyed the read overall. It went by quicker than I wanted and I wanted to read even more.

It was a bit of love triangle, a bit of fated mates, and a bit of of angel/demon mythology.

Be warned, it leaves on a cliffhanger so you will need the second book for sure!

This is Sasha's first debut novel!
How exciting?!
So I love the idea and concept of this book. It's a why choose. Hot guys. A mystery. Maybe a curse? Secrets. Good VS. Evil. Duo point of view.

The reading read very simplistic.

Though I did feel like the "adventure" they were going through was very convenient. But there are supposed to be more in the series so hopefully the author threads the story and executes this perfectly.

In book one the love interest(s)-we were not really shown a great connection between them. They just kind of were. As stated above hopefully it is rectified in the further books.

If you love a more simple easy read, then you would love this.

I can't wait to see the author grow.

This is a late review! If you like Angels, Demons, fantasy, battles, romance this is the one to read. This book gives so many details about how they came to be with the humans “watchers”. This is a battle of wrong versus right! So many emotions In this book!
