so much yap in this textbook bc tell me why the author was sharing personal lore like pls im just trying to pass😭 very good course though, nervous for resultsss 🙏
10/10 AP Psych textbook, love John Myers- although he yaps too much but has so many fun examples that make the info stick longer pls i hope i get a 5 on the exam
there were some good jokes the parts on drugs felt very preachy (like "students you should absolutely never blah blah blah" for like 5 pages) and not about how drugs really worked but whatever
the chapter on how sleep deprivation ruins your brain hit hard as i was outlining it at 1 am and i thought, "wow i am shortening my life for class"
overall good interesting material but was overly wordy on some parts
Covers the new 2025 CED with the new vocab terms, unfortunately there is too much "fluff" in this book which seems to "pack" and enlarge each chapter, with constant "rambling" and dwelling upon several singular concept that could be explained with a sentence or two. Felt good on the AP Exam, however would prefer a more straightforward textbook with more brief, specific examples.
3.5/5 ⭐. If I get less than than 5 on the ap exam, I am coming back and changing it to 2⭐... But for now, it was an okay textbook. Much longer than necessary as a whole, but too short in certain chapters, where I wish it had delved deeper into certain topics. One positive about it tho, is that it is very comprehensible. So, if you struggle with textbook language, you may find this worth reading, since it uses very easy language and explanations.
