•We all want to have contentment in our life but people around us can make us fragile in making those decisions. Just to save innocent people there have been so many wars and the soldiers fighting must sacrifice everything. Let us read a novel where they have to fight to save everything, introducing THE BROKEN HORN (THE STORY OF RAIN BOOK 1) by DON ELLIOTT. The cover page is dedicated to the protagonist and the virtual world. The book is a brilliant combination of action, adventure, and romance.

•The book is about the life happenings of two protagonists, whose lives are complicated and they are trying their best to make it calm. DJeodi, who has fought wars for centuries, now when found contentment in his life by meeting secret mountain people. Time is again testing him, as an enemy from ancient times has risen. To save his people, he must accept his older version again. Similarly, Roan, who has a bounty on her head and runs in the sand, got a job moving a mute girl through the desert.

Will they both be able to complete their task? How will Roan react when she will know that assassins are following her? Will they unite and fight for each other? Read and get to know all answers!

•The book is full of attractive creatures present during the journey of our protagonists. The character sketches are strong with an intriguing mystical plot. Readers will enjoy the determination, power, and sacrifices shown in the story. The storyline is very compelling and creates excitement during the read. The author's description gives a lively presentation of the characters. The plot is adventurous with nice twists and turns.

This book was fun. I started reading this book and was immediately captured by the characters and the excitement. I wanted to keep reading it but school and life got in the way. I was finally able to finish it over a holiday break and loved it. As soon as I ended, I immediately picked up Book 2, Sand Runner.

3.5 The author does a good job keeping you reading with cliff hangers at the end of chapters, though switching off between main characters in each chapter is evil when you want to find out what's going on. There definitely are tense moments and a character that made me so mad (definitely intentional on the author's part).

I'd also like to add that despite the back cover mentioning "a woman's struggle to love" there is definitely no love story. It would be better to say a struggle to accept others into her life.

Great Read!

A fast paced story with wonderfully colorful characters. It has monsters, lots of fighting, false gods, a magical child, evil elder races exterminating human cities, betrayal, lots of fighting ....dud I mention the light up talking plant and tree people?

If I'm not mistaken I believe this is the author's debut novel. As such, I was very pleased with how well written it was. I think Mr. Elliott is off to a great start and I'll definitely be picking up the second book when it hits the shelves. The pacing of The Broken Horn was good, the characters are unique and believable, and I'm invested in seeing what happens to them. I'm eager to learn more about the world of Nan'kadur, its gods, and the various races that inhabit it. :)

Gripping, fast-paced, and full of heart!

I loved this story. The characters were unique and compelling, and they pulled me into the story. The plot was fast-paced and packed with adventure, but with emotional depth. I loved the little details that made the world come alive. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
