A sly fox (is there any other kind in kids' books?) steals Christmas items one by one throughout town until Santa makes him return everything, similar to How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The text is very simple, similar to Goodnight Moon, with "Hello tree" and so on in rhyming lines. Christmas is better when it's shared together.
Very cute but there's a lot going on in this picture book, with split pages and tons of detail: shop windows, bookshelves brimming with books, neatly decorated cookies, etc. It's a lot to take in. Would be more suitable shared in a small group than a large storytime unless using a projector & large screen.

This is a fun rhyming book w/ re-readability. Parents will have fun reading it out loud and kids will love the sassy fox who grinches his way around, stealing Christmas items until he gets caught by Santa. Perfect gift for under the tree.
Spare text, hilarious illustrations, tell the story of one sneaky, naughty fox preparing for Christmas. You'll want to turn the page every time to see what he's going to steal next...and to see whether Santa and the other town animals forgive him or not.
