I got pregnant from a one-night-stand with my worst enemy Then I walked into the office to find out he was my new boss...
In my defense, I hadn’t planned on having anything to do with Hunter Whittington again. So what if his jaw can cut glass, his gaze is piercing and he has a body that haunted my dreams. Our values are contradictory. Our principles are contrasting. Our upbringing couldn’t be more different. He’s the Oxbridge educated billionaire on track to become the leader of the country. I’m the daughter of a shopkeeper, who by sheer determination rose to become a PR specialist.
We hated each other on sight. Couldn’t spend time in the same room without getting into a fight. Until we find ourselves double-booked... ...in the same house over Christmas.
What’s worse there’s only one bedroom. And a snowstorm brewing outside. Then the electricity goes out... Only the chemistry between us takes off.
Unable to keep our hands off each other we make a pact... ...to spend one night together. We wouldn’t speak about it afterwards. Not to each other, not to the world. We’d pretend it never happened.
Except for the pink line across the test in my hand...
This is Zara and Hunter’s story. A true enemies to lovers stand alone romance. Features a feisty, determined-to-stand-up-for-herself beauty and the grumpy billionaire who’ll tame her and lose his heart in the process. Guaranteed to give you all the feels, along with the grand gestures and the HEA you crave! 1-Click NOW
Tropes: Enemies to lovers, Boss – Employee, forbidden romance, one night stand, Growly tattooed hero, strong female lead
L. Steele loves to write romance novels featuring powerful men and strong women who bring them to their knees. When she's not writing she enjoys trading trivia with her filmmaker husband, watching lots and lots of movies, and walking nature trails.
Ok. I don’t normally write reviews for the books I read but I couldn’t get past this one.
I loved the premise. Enemies to lovers. Accidental pregnancy. I didn’t even mind the political aspect.
Sadly, the book didn’t deliver. For starters there was one minute absolutely nothing going on to BAM the characters are having sex.
Swear to god there were ten (10) consecutive chapters of just them having sex.
I’m not one to spoil shows, movies or books, but this needs to be spoken about. Having alpha males who absolutely love their significant other in books is a must most of the time. Psychopaths disguised and presented as alpha males is not. It was one toxic action, thought or spoken word after another.
Hunter (main male character) and Zara (main female character) are so hot and cold - but not in the building tension and sexual chemistry, more in the I don’t want to keep reading way.
*I’m not using H and h to describe because I don’t think it fits who the characters are.
Hunter has Zara investigated to get to know her. Instead of, I don’t know, actually talking to her. Hunter full on records them having sex to force Zara to work for him. Hunter plants listening devices and cameras in all aspects of Zara’s life to keep tabs on her. Hunter leaks a photo of the two of them being touchy feely so that he can force Zara’s hand in marriage. Especially when she didn’t want that to happen as it would impact her career and reputation in the industry. When Zara reveals to Hunter that she’s pregnant (so far in the book, when I was wanting it earlier in the book), was he surprised??
Of course not. He’s been listening. Through the bug on her phone. That he had put there. Like a psychopath.
Zara was so wishy washy. One minute “I hate you don’t talk to me” to the next “why won’t he contact me”.
Why on Earth are we meant to find these “Alpha Males” (of the Hunter variety) attractive?! The amount of other reviews talking about how much Hunter cared for Zara has left me dumbfounded.
Not sad to say, DNF 80% (I’m embarrassed I made it that far).
Ok but I absolutely loved this! A complete opposites attract Romance👏🏼
For starters may I say Hunter is a PERSISTENT man, like my god he would not leave our poor Zara alone. Once he gets an idea in his head he will not stop, and he did not stop till he got what he wanted and that was Zara as his.
Our book begins where Zara finally agrees to give Hunter a chance for to convince her he’s likeable. Like she literally cannot stand the man but decides to give her two hours of her time. Hunter who basically out rightly tells her it was a date, I must say planned it to perfection. You want to know why? Because he basically investigated her and got information on every aspect of her life HHAHAHAHAHAH. A man who is dedicated I like that😂.
There was a lot of back and forth in this book - which I loved as it only added to the tension between our two characters and when that tension finally snapped oh wow (did it get hot in here 🥵). Yes that tension finally snaps when their friends trick them both into spending a cabin for Christmas.. and what happens in the cabin definitely didn’t stay in the cabin much to Zara’s dismay.
Zara is absolutely badass, I love that she took absolute no sh|t from anyone especially our MMC. And Hunter I swooned the entire book for this man - ugh another book boyfriend to add to the list..
Overall if you like a badass FMC, Possessive alpha MMC (who will constantly make you swoon), with plenty of banter then you should definitely give this a read.
Thank you to the author for providing the arc for an honest review
"★★★★★ A delightfully delicious read, with the perfect blend of tension, entertaining banter, wildly explosive chemistry, and intense steam that made for a riveting page-turning story." - LynnStifle
"★★★★★ Holy Hotness! This is a must-read!" - Aner
"★★★★★ Absolutely delicious. A decadent blend of taut tension, fiery sparks, wicked intensity, and sultry steam. This book was potent and addictive." - Aunt G
The premise of this sounded so good and I was excited about reading it, but it just didn’t deliver for me. Which I’m really sad about! In the first chapter I feel like things went from 0-100 in like 10 pages. It was just way too fast for me. I need that build up between the characters before I’m supposed to believe that they have this serious connection/tension between them.
Loved the banter. The characters were good and there were so many side characters, I lost count at one point, though I am thrilled to be reading their stories as well. Too tired to write a full review.
4 Star Review The Christmas One Night Stand (Big Bad Billionaires # by L Steele
Having read several books in this series I looked froward to reading Hunter Whittington and Zara’s story. The Christmas One Night Stand was an entertaining read that ticked a number of boxes for me.
Hunter and Zara on paper should not work and yet they do. From the moment they met the sparks flew and not in a good way. However there is one thing that they cannot ignore and that is the intense chemistry that sizzles between them; they may not like one another but neither can deny the tension.
Hunter is such a dominant, determined alpha male who knows what he wants and goes after it, no matter the cost. When Hunter finally wears Zara down neither of them expect the results.
It was entertaining to watch the push and pull dynamic of their rocky relationship play out and was a good addition to the series.
The Christmas One Night Stand (Billionaire Christmas Series) is Hunter Whittington and Zara Chopra's enemies-to-lovers romance and a fabulous read that you don't want to miss out on. The writing style is captivating and sets the tone for the story. Oh my, spending Christmas in a cabin, what could possibly happen. Off the charts smexyness, witty banter, a shero heroine, a hero that will make you go weak at the knees, and a secret revelation. Supporting characters, including some of my favorite people, along with new characters and breathlessly entertaining moments. Zara and Hunter's story is a must Christmas read this chilly December.
The characters definitely disliked each other in the beginning. Their back and forth had me laughing at how fired up they could both get. Working together has them in close proximity and it was fun watching them fall for one another but before that even happened they got into some nice steam and of course after one night anything could happen.I enjoyed these two and I loved the ending. The narrators did a wonderful job . They made the characters more vibrant .
Secret pregnancy didn’t happen until this point. And she announced it to the journalists and a major secret of her as well instead of the MMC but the entire book was her not wanting to be on the public eye. Not really forbidden romance since the MMC was okay with making their romance public and she wasn’t. Their “banter” got old very very fast because it happened every time they talked and he was constantly just talking about fking her instead of really getting to know her….
I was really excited for this book since I loved the others before this and I love Enemies to Lovers but it just fell short for me.
An enjoyable holiday romance with plenty of heart. Hunter is a genuinely nice guy thoughtful, kind, and generous but his issues with boundaries definitely add tension to the story. Watching him navigate those boundaries while opening up more was an interesting arc.
Zara is a strong, independent woman with hidden secrets, but beneath it all she has a kind heart and a resilient soul. Her strength and warmth balance Hunter’s guarded nature, and together they complement each other beautifully.
This book blends festive charm with emotional depth, reminding us that even in the midst of secrets and challenges, love can shine through.
This should have been a captivating story of what happens when Hunter pursues the office of Prime Minister, while also pursuing Zara, Public Relations Guru. They both had super interesting as well as supportive "ride or die" friends. In addition, that shocking altercation between Zara's brother, Cade and Hunter is hilarious.
Unfortunately, the story soon slid down into bacteria laden, raw and down and dirty sex scenes. Those type of scenes should enhance the story not smother and overwhelm it. So unnecessary!
Nothing special, just the usual. Lots of verbiage for a story that is okay, but not very memorable. May read other books, but still on the fence about that.
Enemies to lovers Forced Proximity One Bed Surprise pregnancy Billionaire romance
***I received an ARC for The Christmas One Night Stand in exchange for an honest review***
My, oh my! When I tell you the tension between these two was palpable! I was hooked from the very first chapter and could not read fast enough.
Our female protagonist, Zara, is a well-known PR spin doctor who specializes in salvaging high profile reputations. Due to the chaotic, time consuming, crisis managing, nature of her career, Zara is adamant about keeping her private life private and her client relationships strictly professional. Our male lead, Hunter, is a heart throbbing billionaire whose in the running for prime ministry. You’d think with all the pressures and rigorous demands that come with running a campaign, Hunter would have no time to spare on anything, or anyone, else. Fortunately for us, after one enticing dinner with our feisty heroine, and a steamy car ride home, Hunter is left wanting so much more.
As I said previously, these characters had me on a chokehold from the very first page. The English banter was deliciously entertaining and their intimate encounters were HOT HOT HOT!!! Especially their Christmas night snow shut in…*blushes intensely*
For the most part, I thought the storyline was evenly paced. However, because I was accustomed to there being many months in between their previous run ins, I did feel that things happened a little too quickly at the end.
As the tropes listed above specify, there is a surprise pregnancy in this holiday romance. The majority of this book revolves around Zara’s denial of her attraction for Hunter, and Hunter’s unwavering persistence to show Zara how good it could be between the two of them. The pregnancy doesn’t play into the storyline until about the 70% mark. So, I would still recommend this book if you’re not particularly fond of the surprise pregnancy trope because those spicy scenes are worth it!
Being that this is technically book ten in the Big Bad Billionaire series, the side characters in this romance also have storylines in previous books. After getting a satisfying taste of L. Steele’s writing, I will have to make sure to go back and read this series. There appears to be an ex boyfriend’s dad romance in the midst of all these couples and I simply can not resist. I can confidently say, although this was my first ever read by this author, it most definitely will not be my last!
Audi0/eBook Review: I can’t believe this is the first book I have read by this author but it certainly won’t be the last because I really enjoyed Hunter Whittington and Zara Chopra’s enemies to lovers romance and I will be playing catch up with the Big Bad Billionaires as soo as time permits.
Shane East and Sasha Mia Khan did a great job bringing the characters and their story to life. They were spot on with chemistry and the emotion. They were also very easy to listen to.
This couple couldn’t be more opposites, he is rich and entitled, looking to run for prime minister and she comes from a middle class background but the one thing they do have in common is the friends they both share. From the moment these two entre a rom sparks fly and not always in a good way, the attraction is obvious, the chemistry sizzling and one dip in a hoy tub over Christmas is about to change both their lives…… The Christmas One Night Stand is an entertaining read that ticked my boxes, the characters are strong and their story believable but it was the push and pull dynamics of their rocky relationship that drew me in and didn’t let me go until the final word had been read.
When I read the synopsis for this book, I was so excited. I thought it’d be something that I’d love but that wasn’t the case. I just couldn’t get into this. I didn’t feel the tension between Zara and Hunter that was supposed to be there. And I didn’t like Hunter at all. I typically like hero’s that have his vibe but there was something about him that just didn’t work for me. Also even though I only got 12% in, I felt like things were already repetitive in terms of conversation. And I have a feeling if I were to continue with the book it’d stay repetitive.
*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.*
I loved this stand-alone story about Zara and Hunter. It is a wonderful, hot and spicy enemies-to-lover’s story. My favorite kind of sexy troupe…growly MMC and smart, feisty FMC… So much fun! I highly recommend!
The premise of this book was intriguing and I found this book pretty entertaining too! Hunter and Zara’s relationship was one that was full of tension, the two are opposites, but the chemistry between the two was sizzling. The writing was captivating and the push and pull dynamic between the two drew me in!
Shane East and Sasha Mia Khan were exceptional as Zara and Hunter and their voices were perfect to bring these characters to life.
What to Expect: 💗 Forbidden 💗 One Night Stand 💗 Accidental Pregnancy 💗 Enemies to Lovers
The Christmas One Night Stand is part of the Big Bad Billionaires series by L. Steele. This is a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers, spicy romance story. There's entertaining banter, swoon-worthy moments, fiery chemistry, off-the-charts passion, humor, suspense, secrets, and so much more.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
This was just ok for me. Spice was great, the tension between Hunter and Zara super hot, but I failed to connect to the characters and everything felt kind of rushed. Still an entertaining, spicy read for the holidays, though. *I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This is another book in the Big Bad Billionaires Christmas series and while it is a stand-alone which would make sense if read as such. However I would suggest you read the other books Ms Steele has written in this as well as the Mafia Arranged Marriage series as there is a lot of crossover of characters and plenty of backstory in these books which would enhance your understanding of the characters and where they fit in the whole L.Steele universe! This story focuses on an Enemies to Lovers romance between Hunter Whittington a prominent MP vying for the Leadership of his Party and his Country and Zara Chopra, the ultimate PR and fixer. If she can’t come up trumps for you then no one can and she gets roped into working for Hunter campaign.
While this romance does indeed hot up 🥵🔥 over Christmas on the whole this is a fairly slow burn romance taking place over several months. Zara is a self made woman who has had to work hard for everything she’s achieved. On the surface she presents herself as a self sufficient no nonsense kind of person and she totally owns that BUT thats not all she is. Zara is as insecure as the next person and she has dealt with such terrible trauma and grief the walls she has built around herself are heartbreaking. While she had a good relationship with her brother her parents are a whole different story. Although she is drawn to Hunter she knows what a catastrophe a relationship between them could be. Her job demands impartiality but if they get together….well that goes out the window.
That being said she and Hunter have an undeniable connection, the chemistry between them well wowsers they are in fire. So begins a slow dance of push/ pull between them. Can Zara put aside her fears and embrace a future with Hunter.
Initially Zara does judge Hunter quite harshly and views him as a self entitled prat and alpha hole (which he totally is). He’s been born with a silver spoon in his mouth and everything seems to fall at his feet. It’s fair to say that Hunter has all the right connections with the Seven and the Sovrano’s on hand and despite reservations does want to embrace his destiny in following in his family’s footsteps to Number 10. But Hunter is a complex man who while he’s determined and focused on achieving his goals he’s equally determined to ensure Zara is by his side. He can be devious in getting what he wants and knows how to manipulate things to his advantage…so a total politician! But I love how focused he was on Zara, she was his be all and end all they make a great team and when revelations come to light well is Hunter going to stand up and be by Zara’s side.
All in all this was such an enjoyable read, I loved all of the other characters popping up and especially loved the push Hunter and Zara’s matchmakers gave them to go to the cabin. A little bit of subterfuge well it’s all for a good cause…even if it did have long lasting repercussions….This was one very hot story with very creative use of desserts, nothing is off limits.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy and I loved this story it was full of ups and downs with lots of witty banter and secret’s coming to light the characters were well written and I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next one.
So, I'm on the fence about this one as to what to rate it. I'm thinking it's more like a 3.5, but I'll round up. It's one thing to be an alpha male, but it's another to be a psychotic obsessed stalker. Hunter leans towards the latter.
While I liked their banter, he was a bit over the top and a complete stalker. If he wasn't running for Prime Minister and if he was a poor man, she would have been calling the cops for his stalking behavior... which would have been a whole different story b/c then she could have fallen for a protective cop. However, since he's rich and in politics, he got away with it. And for some reason, she enjoyed it as well. Though she was surprised whenever he turned up.
Well, honey. when someone plants a bug in your home, your office, and your phone, there's little they don't know about you. *Insert the eye roll here*
Overall, it was a pretty quick read that I just didn't love. The typos in the book did not help the cause either. Some were to the point where I was like, huh? Did they really use the wrong word here?! Yep. they sure did! I was actually kind of thankful the story ended at 90% in the book (the rest is just book promotions for other books).
This was also my first book by the author. I downloaded the four Christmas books that were written because I love Christmas. The Christmas aspect was meh. and the timeline seemed odd at the end too... She's pregnant and a week late for her period, but it's a bit after that before she takes a test. So let's say even 5-6 weeks post period for sake of discussion. Then they forward 8 months into their future and she's still pregnant. Um, by then she's definitely past her due date, but it didn't seem like she was past due in the book. It read as if she was right on time still. I'd hate to be her and pregnant for an extra week or two. lol
So yeah, the inconsistencies and typos and his stalker behavior was just too much. And then when she disclosed her little brother was her son and apparently her own brother didn't even know... how is that even possible? I mean, really? And then when she has her son with Hunter and she's like, "I didn't know I could love someone else so much"... another "really?" moment. She knew how much she could love someone because it's not her first child! *where's my eye roll emoji on a normal keyboard* Sigh.
Hmm. Maybe it's more of a 3 stars book?
Oh and the book blurb is misleading too! It's not even a one night stand and on top of it, she doesn't even know she got pregnant at that point because she hooked up with him several times after that. If she did get pregnant from that, then her "due date" was waaaaay overdue! Yeah, I just talked myself into 3 stars. I already submitted my Amazon review and it's processing so I can't change it. But it's missing this last paragraph too of my remembrance of the blurb part. So yeah. Definitely misleading all around.
3 stars Spoilers: I'm at 60 percent and the FMC has just thrown a book at the MMC. So far, the FMC has also thrown a glass of wine in his face, slapped him several times and thrown pool balls at him. Violence is not okay and this behavior is not cute. Would it be okay if the roles were reversed and it was the MMC slapping the FMC and throwing shit at her? No. So far, the FMC is getting on my nerves. Not only is she violent, she doesn't own her behavior/words. She tells the MMC to leave her alone and then gets mad at him for not calling her or messaging her. Actually TELLS him she's mad at him for not reaching out. But if he had reached out, she would have been mad he ignored her wishes. There was also a scene where she wasn't eating her breakfast. He asked why she wasn't eating and she said she wasn't hungry. He didn't fight her on it and got up to leave. Her first thought? He could have asked if she meant it. Excuse me? Don't act like a baby and say things you don't mean! The FMC is supposed to be a strong, independent woman. Strong women say what they mean and mean what they say. They own their actions. This FMC can't control her behavior to the point she resorts to violence and expects the MMC to ignore her words because she doesn't really mean them. Ridiculous. I just started reading again and the FMC has now thrown a paperweight and a mug at the MMC. I understand suspending disbelief for fiction, but this behavior is abusive and is not being used as comedy. "I launch the cup at him. This time, he swoops out his hand, catches it, and places it on the table." If instead of placing it on the table, he hurled it back at her, would that be okay? Even in this book, I doubt that's the case. I think she would accuse him of trying to hurt her or abusing her. This behavior is making it hard to enjoy the book. I should have kept reading: "I grab a book from the table and chuck it at him. Then snatch up a pencil, a pen, a stapler, and throw them at him, one after the other." And then, of course, when the MMC grabs her wrist to stop her from throwing something else, she demands he let her go. I've finished the book and have no idea how to rate this story. The story was engaging and I enjoyed lots of aspects of it, but the aspects I didn't enjoy (see above), I despised. There's so many dumb moments in this book, but there's also sweet, romantic and sexy moments. I don't know whether I am angry at this author for keeping me engaged in these ridiculous stories or for ruining what could be four or five star reads with truly awful storytelling decisions. I wasn't going to read the next book in this series, but I want to give this author one more chance since there ARE aspects of her books I enjoy despite there also being aspects I can't stand. I'll give this one three stars- 5 stars for the parts I like and 1 star for the parts I don't.

Oh WOW, yes, Hunter and Zara have a huge hate/love "relationship" 🙈 They meet because both are founding members of JJ Kane's new "club". A club where only members are allowed to join who have to give the others something. It's not just for billionaires, but yes, most of them are. Not Zara, but as a PR manager and "spin doctor", she knows her business. I would say for Hunter it was love at first sight, but for Zara? No. I mean, he is a politician, he is going to run for prime minister... We all know how politicians are. And Hunter also comes from old money. Nothing Zara is personally a fan of. But Hunter is OTT obsessed and OTT possessive. OMG, he is really extreme. This one scene when they are at a ball 😱 I surely expect a lot from Hunter, but this. And yes, he is a bit mortally grey, too 🙈
But then it happens... I got a bit of a déjà-vu 😎 I'm just saying "A Christmas bride for the doctor" 😉 A cottage in the countryside during Christmas. Snow. And two people who have a very 💥 chemistry. Yes, this chemistry is more than just 💥 I can't find words to describe it. The two are just so perfect for each other. But Zara just doesn't want it. And sure she has her reasons. And was a bit shocked by one of them. I didn't expect it.
I again love the friendships in this book. Zara's friendships with Solene, Isla, and Summer in particular. But also Hunter's friendships with Sinclair, Michael, Declan, and Liam. Sure all the other women and men too.
And of course, the book ends (as always) with a cliffhanger for the next couple. I think it's not difficult to guess who it will be, there are just two couples to choose 😎 And because it's already published... It's Zara's twin brother Cade and his best friend's sister Abby. And the cliffhanger 😱 Ohohohoh, I think the two will be fighting a lot 🤣
Well, written stand alone slow burn romance . book or series or as a continuation of the combined 3 series I love Laxmi’s books. This book Is about Zara And Hunter
Well, written stand alone (sorta) a very slow burn romance . This book is a new series and a continuation of the combined 3 series trilogy Billionaire fake wife series Dark mafia romance fake fiancé series Enemies to lovers romance series
There is smex, anal, D.P, D.T oral, You do not need to, have read the previous connected BILLIONAIRE’S series, to get into or keep up with this current series but it does enrich the stories in the Dark Mafia/ Billionaires series. Trust me. Billionaires fake wife SINCLAIR & SUMMER’S STORY and ALL “THE 7” on to 9+ books. Or MAFIA KING, MAFIA QUEEN, MAFIA CHRISTMAS, MAFIA CROWN, MAFIA VOWS, MAFIA OBSESSION, then MAFIA BRIDE & MAFIA LUST. But no worries if it’s not your thing you will enjoy this slow burn romance Some of the conversations and inner monologues Just drag too much. And you lose momentum. I’ll still read upcoming books that continue the series.
this review is for THE Christmas one night stand, Zara is a PR manger hired against her choice to manage the campaign of Hunter… a rich entitled Prat, connected to “The 7” who is planing to run for Prime Minister of the Uk, Great Britain. That’s all well and good it’s her dream job, however One problem….She had a one, or Two night stand with him over Christmas. Opps. How to navigate her feelings of attraction coupled with her very blatant disdain for his power money and entitled upbringing and perform her Job Without succumbing to his constant overtures of seduction and obsession with her. (Don’t worry he is not violent it’s not one of “those stories”) Hunter is a mostly nice guy but still a complete Alphahole. Just how you like ‘Em.
This book was a total win for me. I’ve followed the whole series and interconnected books and characters and it just keeps me invested and following with bated breath. I love the supporting cast and how well the characters are all inter connected. It flows so well.
Zara carried the last book and now we’ve had her story and it feels so good. This story had me on the edge of my seat with my jaw on the ground in a few parts where one shocking surprises came to light.
Excellent character growth. I loved our guy fell first and fell so hard. I hated it took them forever and ever to actually come together. They would have months and months between meetings and with no forward motion.
I wish we got more of an ending, I wasn’t ready to see it end and even with the bonus chapter I needed ….more of them.
The spice as with all L. Steele book was perfection. The conflict could have been squashed earlier but … it was a great read. And like all her books this story ends at around 90% so you think you still have time and content to devour but the last 10% are excerpts from her upcoming release and then the rest of the books in the collection. Thee is nothing sadder to be o engulfed in the story and you track that you have 10 to 20% left of the story just to turn the page and the story is over. Gets me every time! This seemed shorter than some of the rest but maybe I just enjoyed it so much. Anyways definitely give it a read. It’s a deep true love soul mate connection told beautifully.
Hunter Whittington is used to getting everything he wants - especially now that he is the lead running candidate for Prime Minister . Except one of the things he wants most in life, he can’t have . Zara Chopra is the exact opposite of everything Hunter is . But no matter what he does he can’t get her off of his mind . And there is no lengths that Hunter won’t go through to make sure that Zara is his . So when divine intervention forces the two of them together in a small cabin, with only one bed + a massive snow storm on the way .. Hunter just hopes they can both make it out with exactly what they wanted .
Zara Chopra has worked endlessly to make it in this cut throat world . The daughter of a shopkeeper is now the most sought out PR Specialist in the game . Which is why nothing can get in the way of Zara’s career or in any way tarnish her reputation . Everyone seems to understand that except Mr. Hunter Whittington . The same Hunter that is running for Prime Minister, the same Hunter that has completely different beliefs than her + the same Hunter that she wants more than anything . Everything is starting to blur, lines are becoming easier to cross + one snowy night everything has aligned perfectly for the two of them . Will Zara be able to keep things separate to protect her career + heart or will the desire become too much to deny ?
There is nothing better than forbidden love, forced proximity, one bed, complete with opposites attract . The chemistry between Hunter + Zara is sizzling hot ! So much tension, so much banter, so much back + forth that when it came down to Christmas in the cabin .. it was game on . I’m so excited to see what happens next with Cade with his champagne loving dog, Abbey, and the rest of this crew .
This is book two in the Morally Grey Men series . It can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading in series order .
PLEASE CHECK THE TWs !!!

Book review and audiobook review follows: Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️½ "You heard me. You’re magnificent when you’re angry. Your eyes flash fire. Your cheeks turn a gorgeous color that makes me want to close the distance between us and lick you up."
Book Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I devoured this book! The Christmas One Night Stand is Hunter and Zara’s love story. The politician, Hunter, posed to become the next prime minister, and Zara, the political fixer who avoids any scandal that might ruin her reputation.
It’s a tame enemies to lovers, forbidden romance, with a MMC who is completely obsessed with the FMC, and a surprise pregnancy.
Is it possible to be both an alphahole and have golden-retriever vibes? If so, Hunter is the perfect example of such a man. He is determined to break down Zara's walls and has no qualms about pushing the boundaries of propriety to force her hand. His love language is background checks, blackmail, and stalking. And I was all about it!
This book is fast-burn and incredibly spicy, with multiple chapters of straight-up smut covering their one-night stand. Can I just say 18 orgasms? Zara is a lucky lady.
Audiobook Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I thoroughly enjoyed the narration of this book. Both narrators did an excellent job bringing their characters to life.
Shane East has become one of my favorite male narrators. His accent, his deep growly voice… absolutely sinful. The way he says “good girl” makes me want to be his good girl.
Genre: Contemporary Romance Tropes/Features: enemies to lovers, forced proximity, one bed, forbidden romance, boss/employee, one-night stand, surprise baby, billionaire politician MMC, strong FMC, obsession, he falls first, morally grey MMC, OTT J/P Narrator: Dual 1st Person POV Narration Type: Dual Narration Style Narrator(s): Shane East and Sasha Mia Khan Relationship Type: MF, fast burn, high spice TW/CW: Surprise baby, pregnancy trope
Zara and Hunter’s book was the hardest of the books, so far for me to get through. I think it was because it was more of a mind game, as well as a set of two strong wills they each possess. When you bring in their sexual escapades, it becomes tedious at times. Then it's an endless play at whose the baddest ass on the playground. Him running for prime minister of a country and her running the most successful PR firm around. They both are like two chihuahuas who like to circle one another making tons of noise, and then tattle on each other to mutual friends and their significant others.
