Wow, definitely not what I expected.
This book was gifted to me by a friend. And I am so happy she gave it to me.
This is a new author to me and I will most definitely be reading more of her work.
This story is a bit longer then others I have read but I am happy it is. Unlike a lot of the books I have read, this author did not rush storylines or just introduce a character and then drop them until a few chapters later.
This book has it all. Forbidden love, magic, fights, treachery and strong alliances.

This book builds an excellent world. I’ve read enough books where we split the fire people with the fire people and the light people with the light people it can get dull at times. Instead I actually wanted to know what happened to Elaina when she’s saved by the mysterious stranger. I enjoyed the character development. And I enjoyed the fact that she was able to stay out of the choosing a side after being set apart most of all. Hopefully in the second book we find out more about her powers. Can’t wait for the next book!

I'm very critical of indie author works. Many times I find them full of correctable typos and plot holes bigger than the Mariana Trench. Having said that, I enjoyed this book, a lot. There were a lot of the usual suspects in a light romance, but the story was told in a very engaging way, that kept me interested enough to finish it in a day. Also the ending, left me in a place where I want to know what happens next. I will be getting the follow up, hoping it will be of the same quality.

Well written story with complicated background That will keep your interest from page one. Characters were Great - Full, true and had grey parts in themselves. I will for sure read book 2 of this Series.

This is one of the best books that I have read in a long time.kayla has gotten me back into reading. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a book that they just can't put down. I really loved this book.

I was surprised at how much I liked this book!! It is so full of suspense it keeps you guessing what is coming next. Nathaniel won my heart!! I can't wait to read the next book in this series just sad I have to wait!!! Great job to the author!!!

A must read
I give this book a 5+ star rating because it is a very good book! The author has done a wonderful job keeping you guessing what comes next. The only part I don't like is that I finished it and now I have to wait for the next one lol I am not the best at waiting to see what happens next. I definitely would recommend this book to every one of you!! Great job to the author keep up the great work and for sharing your wonderful work with us all!!

Nathaniel steps in when he shouldn't to save a human that he feels a strange pull to and he doesn't know why.
Elaina is saved by a stranger and she feels a strange pull to him. This one night chances her life more than anyone will know. Will this change be for good or bad.
I can't wait for the next book to come out. The end of this book made me gasp for air and scream "No, this can't be the end"

I really enjoyed the story this book provided. Mystery, testosterone, boundaries, hidden agendas and so much more. Leaves you wanting to find out what will happen in the next book! I thinks it's a must read, so don't miss out!

Amazing job
This book really brought so much light and darkness that really put me in awe of how the author could write such amazing things. I loved Nathaniel, he was dark and dangerous but he had this other side he was showing her and I loved that. Jonathan was probably my favorite character because I liked his personality.
