Ivy Sparks has a passion for romances that feature kick-ass heroines and the dark alpha males who love them. If not for her demanding cat, she'd probably have even more books out.
This was an entertaining alien abduction story but it differed in that blackmail was involved for one of the gals kidnapped. After being injected to become omegas, the two sisters had roles to play for their abductors. Maddy was expected make the 'brutal' barbarian king fall for her and poison him to allow them to get access to his planet's minerals. Fortunately for Maddy, he wasn't brutal, and Stradus' kindness and caring of her helped spark feelings. Unfortunately, this would not get her sister released... What followed was an intense and steamy romance with action. And yes, you can expect heats, knotting and a very protective alpha ;) I really liked them together ;D
I loved this book right from the very start and kept me spellbound till the very end. Maddie works and lives a hard life while so helps her sister Jasmine go to college and now she is going away for the weekend with friends and Maddie decides to go out and have fun and maybe find a guy to take home and when she sees a sexy as sin guy staring at her and they start to talk and she asks if he wants to leave and takes him back to her house and everything is going well until Jasmine comes home after breaking up with her boyfriend and Kodak decides that he’ll take them both and that’s the last thing Maddie remembers. Kovak is a vow keeper and has been looking for females that they can change into omegas so they can get close to the Drux alpha king who are in dire need of females / omegas before there race dies out for good but the plan is to get the female close enough so she can poison him and he’ll return her home afterwards but he will keep her sister as his guest until it’s done now she is on her way to the castle after he injected her and now she was going into heat and all the males race to her and when the King is told of a omega in heat outside the walls he races out to get to her for himself but knows his males won’t be able to stop from taking her and when he see her he knows she is for him and has to fight one of his guards and kills him while all the others backed away. He takes her in his arms and begs him to take her a make it stop and right there in front of all his men he claims her as his own and afterwards takes her inside his castle to the mating rooms where he takes care of her and stays with her because she will go into heat again very soon and he couldn’t bring himself to leave his mate. When she wakes they take a bath and cleanup and her beauty has him captivated but where did she come from. Maddie wakes after she was claimed by the sexy alien who she finds very attractive but she has a mission to do to save her sister. They talk and tell each other’s names but Maddie already knows his and he tells her that he is King Stardus and is a Drux warrior and cannot believe his luck to find a mate after all this time alone. The more time they spend together the harder it is for Maddie to think about poisoning him and when he sends his men out looking for her sister she falls in love with him even more and then they learn she was taken by another Alpha King Halstead and that’s when she see’s her sister and that she is very happy that Maddie tells Stardus about they came to be on Druxitania. How does it all turn out and do they sister return to earth or do they stay with there Kings. Loved this book and it’s a must read.

I've read a lot of alien romance books this year. I enjoyed the first 65% of Claimed by the Alien Brute quite a bit. However that's where it seemed to be "solved" way too easily and I didn't really get a sense of why (Jasmine explained "how" but the "why" was glossed over) the Voxkeepers bothered to kidnap them in the first place, why it was suddenly fine for the plot between Maddie and her mate to just be ignored and the both of them just lived happily ever after. I would have preferred a different way of the conflict to be solved, or the book to not be a standalone and just go straight into the next book, ostensibly Jasmine's, or the book to be double the length and spend more time on Kovak, and/or how Jasmine got out of her cell and/or her meeting Halstead. This book had a lot of potential but it kind of petered out at the end, and became more about the sex than the storyline after spending a lot of time creating the world. I'm still curious about what goes on with the Voxkeepers and the Drux but I don't know that I'd want to read another book just like this one.

I loved this! I loved how Maddie took the time to get to know the Drux and how despite his appearance Stradus was a kind and gentle being really. Finding out that your boyfriend is cheating is one thing but finding out that you are the other woman and his whole family knew except you is doubly crushing. Maddie is considered a bit gullible but I think she just wants to see the good in people so she takes them at their word even when she should possibly push a little more. Still it prompts her to make the most of a free night where she ends up with way more than a morning walk of shame! Stradus was bored well maybe not bored exactly but feeling like every day is the same. There is no more wonder, excitement or even true happiness in his life any more. He's not really noticed it going but he is very aware of the fact that this might well be the very last of his people. That is until Maddie crashes into his life. He is prepared to make his life over to hers, body, heart and soul but will it survive the reason she is there in the first place?
Maddie finds herself kidnapped by an alien along with her younger sister, Jasmine. Both are injected with a chemical to change them into Omegas. To keep her sister safe, Maddie is sent out into the forest of an alien planet to be claimed and mated by the king alpha who is described by her alien kidnappers as to be a brute.
Maddie’s first heat is triggered when she nears the walls of the alpha king’s castle. He rushes out to claim her from his alpha guards and proceeds to take gentle care of her throughout her heat.
Maddie is conflicted over continuing using her mission as she discovers her alpha king and his people are kind and caring, definitely not the brutes she was expecting.
This is an interesting world created by the author. Maddie struggles with wanting to stay and concern for her sister who last she knew was still held by the Vowkeepers to ensure her compliance with their assassination plan for her alpha king.

Maddie, the female human lead, is captured with her sister, converted into an omega, and given the task of poisoning the male lead and alpha alien king, Stradus, so her captors can take over his assets. But, once she meets Stradus, she finds him not the brute he was described and, as he “tends” her through her heat, she finds him attractive. Her sister is still captive though…
This story is dual POV, well written, and the beginning a new omegaverse series. I enjoyed Maddie’s resilience and her determination to do what needed to be done to save her sister, even as she came to care for Stradus. I enjoyed Stradus’ pleasure at finding and claiming an omega and genuine willingness to do whatever she asked for (and not just in the bedroom).

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story about two earth women who are taken from their home planet and find themselves in a spaceship heading towards a new planet where two species have been at war for many years. Maddie is the elder sister and Jasmine the youngest, Maddie has been given the job to mate with Stradus the Drux king and on the Ceremony of a Thousand Suns, Maddie is supposed to point what she has in her necklace into her mates drink. Things don’t go the way of the plans the Vowmakers planned. It’s a really good story and we learned that both sisters fall in love with their kings and they live happily ever after.

Who are the good guys and who are the bad guys? Maddie just wants to save her sister and go home, but to do that she has to poison Stradus. The more she learns about him the more she questions what she’s been led to believe and the more the connection between them grows, but can she choose between saving her sister and saving him? Can they work together to find a better solution or will her betrayal cost her everything. Deliciously complex and convoluted. Highly entertaining and fast paced. I found that the adversity between the Drux and the Vowkeepers added to the suspense and the complexity of the storyline. Wonderful worldbuilding. Bravo. Loved it!.

I love the single source approach to science fiction as evidenced by Earth females being cross fertile with endless alien races. The idea that a universe of attractive, sexy aliens is possible and that women from Earth are the last hope for their race to continue is strangely appealing. I don’t know if it because of the unsatisfactory state of gender relations in current cultures on our planet, or due to the influence of art and literature on our expectations for relationships. The hope for other options is the theme that resonates through these alien lover stories. A fairy tale where all the people are honorable in ways that the reader can recognize and respect is a satisfying read. The promise of happily ever after is the cherry on the sundae.
"I had to save my sister, which meant I had to complete this mission."
Maddie may not love her life on Earth, but that doesn't mean she's begging to be abducted by aliens? Right? And shouldn't being abducted be the worst part? Not the first hit?
Stradus is an Alpha on a world with no more Omegas... until this lone omega appears outside his castle walls.
This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read is a fun story about going from getting by in a world you understand to trying to understand how to survive in a strange world. Maddie never gives up, on herself or the situation, and by his actions Stradus reveals he is far more than the Brute others assume Alphas to be.
Maddie is desperate to free her sister, Jasmine, who is being held hostage by an alien. The alien plans on using Maddie as a means of getting close enough to his enemy to have her poison him. To force her to do that, they make her appear to be an omega who will attract King Stradus, distract him, and poison him.
Being with Stradus, Maddie realizes he is not the savage brute they told her he was. She actually cares for him. But if she does not complete her mission, her sister could lose her life. Will she tell Stradus what is going on so that he may be able to help her? Or will she complete the deadly assignment she has been sent on?
Claimed by the Alien Brute is a good Sci-Fi Romance with lots of Alpha/Beta knotting, intrigue, romance and good world building that seamlessly delivers a well written adventure of two sisters kidnapped from Earth by an alien Vowkeeper who needs to use one of them to infiltrate his enemy’s stronghold and poison their king. King Stradus may be a growly Alpha but soon turns into a teddy bear when he finds one of the sisters and makes her his mate. Some humor and engaging characters made this an enjoyable read and I look forward to more in the series.

Maggie, and her sister Jasmine, are abducted by aliens who will release them if Maddie completes a mission. She is chemically injected to become an omega, and her mission is to mate the alpha king Stradus. But how do you carry out a mission when you get to know Stradus and and falling in love with him. I loved the storyline and the characters are likable. There is plenty of chemistry and steam between Stradus and Maggie. Stadus is not the brute king that everyone says he is. Will Maggie carry out the killing to save her sister? Will she tell Stadus how she was blackmailed? Wonderful story.

Maddie (h) and her sister, Jasmine, are abducted by an alien who'll release them if she completes a mission. After being chemically induced to become an omega, her mission is to mate with Stradus (H), an alpha king, and then poison him. The problem is that as Maddie gets to know Stradus and she begins to develop feeling for him, she no longer wants to carry out her mission and wants their relationship to be real. Intense hot and steamy action from start to finish with heats, knotting, protective alpha, and more. I loved how different Stradus is so understanding of Maddie and how caring he is towards his mate.
Two sisters Maddie and Jasmine are abducted by Kovak, a half breed. He tells them that they need to kill a barbarian to win their freedom. To gain entry and attract the barbarian he has to inject them with a serum that will turn them into omega's. So far no one he has injected has survived the transformation.
Maddie insists she is the one to go, and this is her story.

I loved this book. I was captivated by the storyline and couldn't put it down. Great world building and wonderful characters. I really loved Stradus- he was so much more than I'd thought he'd. Poor Maddie was in a precarious situation! Poison the king or sacrifice her sister. The story was exciting with great chemistry. 5 stars.
Maddie and Stradus It's the journey that counts. I enjoyed this story and thought it was interesting. So just read it to find out what happens between the pages.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved all the characters and it kept me guessing. I did not know if I would like this sort of story but I loved it. I can't wait to read more like this.
I really liked the book it was a good filler read for when your in between obsessions but I would like there to have been more detail in the storyline or maybe a bigger plot twist overall it was a good book just a little vague and fast paced
This author always delivers with short highly entertaining books. I read every single one! They all have happy endings, sexy males and feisty females, and of course, great sexy scenes.
