Fun Addition

I'll start with the good. Max is a very likeable character and you can't help but root for him constantly - although I wish he could avoid SOME of the trouble he's constantly in. He's the complete opposite of Rima, he's warm and welcomes everyone into his group. His strength is growing by the day and it's exciting to see it happen. I'm very much enjoying the growing universe this series is creating.

On to the sorta negative. This book is a walking cliché. I won't get into specifics, but every other page seems to pull in something I've read in other books or pop culture. It might be Jonathan's style, but I wish he including more science in his writing to try and explain how some technology works.

This book ends in a very interesting way and holds a ton of potential to continue to expand this universe. I'm excited to see where this goes, and love being able to binge these books! Keep it going Jonathan!

Max Tyco and crew are back and still on the hunt for more portals. Rema is hurt and out of commission for the time being. As Max enters Shroom he finds the blood wolf needs to win in a gladiator style match to earn their trust, but what else is going on at the same time, Max Tyco keep your head on a swivel and your spies alert.
These books are so much fun and Max is pretty cool. These books are full of adventure and suspense but it is the characters that keep bringing me back they are so much fun, and narrator Jeffery Kafer does such a awesome job with the audios, he just brings the books to life it is amazing.

Excellent Reading. It started good and turned out great! I read a few chapters a night, so I went through this quickly. I enjoyed every bit of it though. A suggestion, when a main character attains a new trait or becomes faster, I have noticed many Authors seem to slow him down a bit though on his next fight scene. not sure why that is, but I suggest keeping the character at the same pace, or stronger, and faster, not slower and seeming weaker the next fight, only to finally be faster after another fight. I believe in consistency.

Another mind bending adventure

Seems that time moves slowly and is jam packed with battles, training, and making new allies. Max has a lot on his plate. Fortunately his soul, and will to survive and protect are stronger than any one could have seen. His story is compelling me to read on, and on......

The enemy of my enemy is my friend... Sorta. Though waiting for that inevitable betrayal is a PITA.
Max really comes into his own in this installment, and the ending's promise of new adventures makes me very happy. Bring it, Max!

SHADOW OF THE CONTENDER: GALACTIC GUARDIANS is another great story. There is less humor but more heroism as Max begins to master his sardonium infused weapon. The quest to protect the innocent continues . . .

Space opera

Not sure where that term evolved, Jonathan Hands has certainly met any definitive challenge. The characters have great interplay. I loved it. Books 1and 2 need to be read first. This will not make sense if they arent. Send me.
