Book review: First off I want to say how amazing this book was! A Dark Mafia romance, enemies to lovers. A constant battle fighting between 2 rivals, came to a truce! This book definitely kept me on my toes, soon as I thought I knew what was happening, little did I know that was NOT what I was expecting. I gave this book 4 starts because it is very well written, twisty, dark romance. Thank you for allowing me to review your book! I hope there will be a next one!!
2.5⭐️-what kind of romance is in 3rd person?? but then randomly switches to 1st for one sentence? very predictable and felt forced to read even though it was not necessary a bad storyline
I really loved this book! Vinnie and Val were meant to be together. This warmed my heart. The spice was decent but not overwhelming of the story. I really enjoyed the twists and turns in the journey of Vinnie and Val. ❤️👏 If you enjoy Mafia romance or enemies to lovers, read this.
It was a bit harder to follow the POV's, or at times, I'd have to go back to figure out who was supposed to be talking. I felt like it could've been written a little better (but who am I? I dont have a published book lol). Over all, though, I enjoyed the story and stayed entertained the whole time even though some things were super predictable.
Theresa Lambe did an amazing job writing this storyline. The twist & turns kept you anticipating what was going to happen next. The lead & supporting characters were fantastic. Her writing skills put you in the room or the scenario as it was occurring. She's a very gifted writer.
I had a lot of feelings about this book. I both loved and loathed it. It has so much potential. I really enjoyed the storyline. Buuttt the actual writing of this book could use work. The sentence structure, POV, and oh my gosh the sheer amount of typos. Truly, this book as so much potential and I really enjoyed it but a good editor and/or arc readers could have gone so far and helped this book reach it’s full potential.
I felt like this would’ve been a great storyline but I couldn’t get past ten percent before I DNFd because of the writing. I couldn’t never tell who was talking or thinking. A third pov pooped up at the end of an already confusing chapter…. Couldn’t do it …
I loved the storyline in this book, however it had a predictable “who done it”. It wasn’t hard to figure out who was after the heroes. The reason I gave this 3 stars instead of 4….. the grammar and spelling/typo errors were annoying. I know I saw at least ten errors. That is bothersome to me while I’m trying to read. I will offer to be an arc reader with the only purpose to identify errors if that can be useful.
And I liked the plot twist. But. It’s very wordy. Sometimes you can say the same thing with fewer words. Also I think the author can trust that her readers are smart enough not to need every minute detail of a scene, which will help with the wordiness, and that we can figure out what words are in a foreign language. And if not there are translation apps out there to help. Lastly, the love scenes felt a little clinical, but again, the lost was good and interesting and I did enjoy the book!
absolutely loved the book. it was a little predictable as to who the bad guys were but even despite that I still absolutely lived it. The characters were well written. though I do agree at times it was hard to tell who was talking. I live that for once the chapters and stuff didnt have names telling me who's POV it was. im a big girl I can figure it out. I wish Val had been less disagreeable in the beginning. I really loved how fiery she got in the end. It was definitely worth the read. I look forward to reading more.
This is a story of two young and passionate younglings of two rival mafia families. It is the story of Giovanni Constantini, son of the great Donatello and the mafia princess known as Valentina De Luca, the only child of Rafael De Luca. You might feel that it would be the story of star-crossed lovers who can’t be together because of family rivalries. But no, it is quite the opposite, the mafia bosses have decided that enough blood has been spilt and now the truce seems the wise option. But how can this truce be relied upon, how can they trust each other? Their solution is the marriage between the two families. Giovanni is required to marry Valentina. This sounds impossible as they hate each other. But they have no option but to follow the orders of their elders and they decide to give this strange agreement a try. The families are not aware that this arrangement is not going to be without some very deadly challenges. The duo will have to face many challenges to keep their agreement. Will they be able to keep their word and keep the truce going? Can hate be converted into love when people start living together? Is there a happy ending possible for these two young ones? To know the answers to these questions, you will have to read the book. It has a good amount of both – sugar and spice. The action is almost non-stop. The story progresses flawlessly and we can easily relate to the characters and the emotions they are going through. Overall, if you love to read a good romance book, give this book a try, you will enjoy it.
The Constantini and DeLuca families have been at war fir generations. In an effort to bring the families to a truce, they come to an agreement. Donatello Constantini's son Giovanni will marry Rafael DeLuca's daughter Valentina. These two have hated each other their entire lives but know they have a responsibility to the families. The Agreement is a fantastic, fast-paced, enemies to lovers story that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. It's full of twists, turns and surprises and so much heat steam comes from the pages.
I really liked this book, my favourites are the mafia stories. Val and Vinnie's story was full of twists and turns, and finally a mafia story where the female character is not shy and timid, but brave enough to stand up for herself even in this usually male dominated world. Congrats to the author, nice job!
Story could have been great, but seemed like it was edited by a small child. Bounced around from full names to nick names too much in my opinion as well. The author could have had a great book had the editor not done an injustice to her by allowing this to be printed as it is, correction definitely NEEDED.
God awful book. The story was written so poorly and I was practically forcing myself to get through it. I’m surprised it has such high ratings because it was definitely not it. Overall cheesy and a drag to read.
dnf @17%. very poor writing. between all the grammar mistakes and the pov switches, it was very difficult to tell who was talking or thinking. i had no problem with the book being in 3rd person it just was confusing at times to understand who was talking.
