After reuniting with his old friend Kasim and solving Charlotte’s problem, Belgrieve and company return to Turnera. Angeline immediately warms up to her new little brother Mit, and the growing family spends their days in peace. Their happy time together, however, is cut short when the forest near the village suddenly gains sentience and begins to attack people—worse yet, it seems to be after Mit and his demonic powers! As the situation grows dire, the Paladin Graham makes a stand! How will the father and daughter duo overcome the crisis threatening their home?
Audio: 5 Stars Amazing job with the 300 different voices!
Story: I wish Japanese manga writers would stop creating ridiculous characters with exaggerated behaviors, clinginess and psycho personalities are not ok. With the exception of the creepy behavior from the daughter, the story is fun and interesting and has a great balance of slice of life and adventure. It's better than the anime, for sure. Onto my next adventure, Happy Readings!!!
Audio- I love this growing family: The grandpa charecter, Bell (Dad), daughter badass 1, her team/friends 1 & 2, Elf girl 1, Mit (littlest brother), little sister & little brother....... and all the friends.
The towns folk had me worried for a moment. They accepted Mitt and showed their loyalty to the family in the end, but not without giving a pause.
This series keeps me entertained.

Belgrieve and his found family get to enjoy their daily life for some time. Their unknown enemy though has directed an ancient enemy towards their small village, one that even elves struggled with. Much like previous volumes the first half of the volume is wholesome slice-of-life with interesting and unique characters followed by fast paced action. It creates a bit of a peculiar pacing, but I like it. The overarching plot has me intrigued even though we learn very little more about it in this volume. So a good addition to the series.
